God's Word Created

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Genesis 1:1-31 KJV
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

God created the heavens and the earth, we can stop right there and say God created, yet it also speaks something else in verse two that his spirit did what hovered over his creation. He was observing by his Spirit his creation as he created. He hover over it and declared it was good. If you got time to slow down and declare anything good you make, ask yourself is it good by whose standards? Your word alone on a project will not create anything or make it good. A person has to move into action to accomplish anything on a project. If a person is a boss, one might be able to give orders for someone else to do it, but you have to hope they will obey your commands and not make your orders look bad. However God speaks the word and it brings forth many things when creating the earth. From the location of the continents to the water that surrounds the land mass.

We see God's word as being gold in the beginning and even today, yet does one not understand that only if God's speaks it to his servant will his word come to pass. To know that God's word is going forth to create to bring about a new thing. Mary conception was by the word of God with the Holy Spirit hoving over her. Overseeing his creation of his Son his very word. His word has always brought forth life from the beginning and one day will bring forth judgment and destruction. In the Plagues of Egypt we see God's word through a prophet bring forth destruction. Not only destruction but also the demonstration of his mercy.

If Christ is the very word of God is the earth not God's word too? All God's creation is in subject to him. His Son is in subjection of the Father, and at the same time the Son is equal to the Father. The word equal seems misplaced in description, because the earth was created by his word and not all things God created by his word was equal to him. When Adam went about naming the animals God had hope Adam would find a helpmate, instead God had to take from Adam's rib a part of man to create him a helpmate that would be his equal and his helper. Why because Adam was not God nor would he ever be God, but his equal had to be created from a part of him.

God's creation is like God in the way it reproduces and destroys, but it is not God, because it comes in a destructible format. God is not destructible. Was Christ destructible only in the flesh, but his word is not destructible. All things Christ taught was incorruptible, but everything He spoke brought forth fruit in the lives of many people and also brought judgment and destruction. Christ with his death had to take on the cloak of indestructibility through the resurrection. Earth can not do that. It can not take on the life form of indestructibility. The earth as we know it will no longer exist one day. Was and is God's word destructible. Only in the format in which God created by placing it in a corruptible body. He was able to resurrect his Son from the dead, and yet his Son was perfect. Man can take God's word, and destroy it, only to find out it has not been destroyed, but resurrected for man. Nineveh found the resurrection of God's word when destruction came to it, when revival did not continue. Nineveh found mercy of faith through repentance had been applied with heeding the word of God. Pharaoh found God's word could remove his destruction, but one day it would not when he sought to destroy God's word to Israel. His word brings forth death and life to man. Yet sin brings death but hope brings eternal life to all that believe and receive his word as truth and obeys it.

God said we must believe in his Son to be saved. He talking not only the flesh, but his word in spiritual and oral manifestation of his word. God's word says the Devil will be destroyed for eternity. That he will be placed in hell and it will be thrown into the eternal lake of fire, along with the devils angels. After the judgment on the people God creates a new heaven and new earth. God's people are not in this picture of destruction or even judgment they are the saints that went up to meet him and the saints that were already in the New Jerusalem. God does not resurrect the earth, He creates a new one, a new heaven a new earth in which his children would dwell. We are in our indestructible flesh in heaven, but we are not equal to God. We will reign and rule with him, as his family. We will be like the angels of heaven, and will not be given in marriage, meaning we will not be given in marriage to become equal to God, though a part of his family our Spirit only dine with his Spirit. God spoke to Moses from in the bush, but he was not the bush. The bush was his covering as he spoke to Moses who was fixing to have an awake up call to his call in life. God was preparing Moses to meet him on Mount Sinai as he purified Moses faith through the Palace of Egypt experience into the first days of the wilderness journey. Do you need an Egypt experience in your life to purge your heart or do you only need the blessings of God to purify you to holiness by his word. It takes often that Egypt experience to know God wrath, judgment and also his blessings. The storm is rough but God's word can still the storm.

Dear Heavenly Father, purify us through your word, through the flesh and blood of Christ to the fullness of godhead bodily of Christ into incorruptibility of each of your children as we journey onward to that beautiful place you have prepared for us. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Colossians 2:6-23 KJV
6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
19 And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

Mark 12:23-27 KJV
23 In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.
24 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?
25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.
26 And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.

Revelation 20:10-15 KJV
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 21:1-5 KJV
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
