Fruit Of Following Christ 07/14/2022
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisGalatians 6:1-10 KJV
1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
5 For every man shall bear his own burden.
6 Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.
7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Every man that opens a womb would be called holy and a sacrifices was to be given, this was to the household of faith to the tribe of Israel was the priesthood decree. Man and woman have been sowing to the flesh long then before Noah. Yet the question remains is the product of the flesh sin. Sex outside of marriage was sin in Israel culture and definitely the early church, and one could be killed for immorality in the tribe of Israel. Today our land and the lands around our nation only have some rules concerning these things and some nothing at all. If you sow to the flesh is the product of sexual act sin. The pregnancy of immorality sin or because of the right relationship and intent that God created man and woman to produce was in violation to God's decree. The laws of faith declares that if a woman conceives outside of wedlock the child then should be outcasted as the woman is. Some woman go at full strength to think that to sacrifice the baby is sending that baby back to God. Yet it is not. A baby is gift from God but not because of sin, but because it is the fruit of humanity, from the original call on man. Meaning this baby conceived as a good chance to one day to be part of the spiritual kingdom of faith in God and Christ Jesus. Not all our sin nature bears evil, but all our sin nature is still a willful act outside of the laws of God. It is those acts that man and women wrestle with since early man. No man or woman is exempt.
Many nation honor marriage with license and cuts the married couples throat with taxes and then more taxes if they have children. Sacrifice given as a tax or payment unto God, makes little since in our culture until we understand that sacrifice is also a thanksgiving to a health delivery of a new baby. Tax is the cost of a new child in the nation in our land. Today we give God thanks if someone has a healthy baby and if the baby is not healthy then one prayers for healing. Then the inner blame game of whose fault is it that this baby has a health issue begins, until either it discovered no one at fault or genetics is likely to be the blame. Yet none of this has anything to do with sin against God right? David lost a child because of his sin by God's hand.
The consequences of the flesh/sin is David lost a child because of covetness. Was the child evil, did the child sin, but the child paid the consequences of his father's sin? Then one has to ask is the child of sinful union, sin, no. But he may bear the consequences of the sin of the parent, one in how someone in the family treats him. If a child of mother that committed sexual act outside of marriage, becomes gay is it because of her sin, or his sin that he gay or both? Or is homosexuality because of the sin of the world?(end of Romans 1 explains it).
Is there a spiritual reason that some family trees dry up in our nation? Ruth laid at Boaz feet, never saying she had sex or not, both had been married, Boaz was drunk and finds Ruth at the foot of where he sleeps. Boaz marries Ruth and has Obed who the father of Jesse and who is the father of King David. Did the first act cause a dry up tree, it produced a productive tree for God. Why does one mistake of a person of faith cause destruction, but does it control spiritual fruit of faith. It can if the life continues in a downward spiral of sin, despite faith in God. Solomon seems to be a King of fruit despite his sin and his wives sins. HOw many babies were sacrificed to Asthrothe? What King Solomon sin produced was a nation turning away from God because what a nation that immulates their leaders will often fall some point into corruption of their leaders, if sin of leaders are discovered. Many evil kings would arise after King Solomon with a few godly Kings to follow. Ruth faith did not let that one night of error stop from God allowing the right blessing to occur by Naomi kin to marry her and have a family. One sowing to the flesh will it cause corruption for eternity? Depends. One night of sex with the wrong partner could give you Aids or other STDS that are still life threatening if untreated. Does one sin have to produce unfruitfulness in a person life. Will it produce unfruitfulness, because the jones daughter became the pregnant woman out of wedlock and Smith decide to copy the life style of daughter of Jones, instead of following Christ.
Sowing to the flesh may have consequences. Eating in gluttony for many years being over weight for decades, may cause someone to say will that person being fat and healthy never seeing the consequences of over eating, indulging and becoming fat too. Smoking, drugs, and Alcohol having the consequences of monkey see monkey do, never thinking if a person can be spiritual ready to handle the betrayal of sin of another mentor in life. List of things humans do to their body, could go on and on.
What spiritual life, following only God's instruction produce a total safe environment. Disciples followed Christ right into the boat and a storm still almost drowned them, until Jesus stilled the water. To much study of the word God does produce unfruitfulness, but to much work and no time for God can produce spiritual weakness, and corruption. Temptation to follow the flesh produces sin, but to follow the Spirit produce life with Christ Jesus.
Mary and Martha, one wanted to sit at the feet of Jesus while the other one served at a dinner. Martha becoming angry because Mary desire spiritual truth, instead willing to help serve. Mary was in need of spiritual food. What are we hungry for.
One the baby out of wedlock has his own cross to bear in life, perhaps from the sin of the mother and father, and perhaps not, but he still has a cross to decide if he carries it for Jesus or for the world. Each life given in this world one out of the production of sin and one out of the production of holiness of marriage. Yet both products with a choice to obey the word of God and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved. Very first verse talks about restoring someone. Do you restore someone to chastise them or do you restore someone to bring them hopefully back into the right relationship with God. If that relationship is restored between God and that person who are you to interfer, do they need a counselor besides the Holy Spirit. Restoring people back into the fellowship of God's people is not so other people can cut them up like pieces of meat. It for God's people to recognize their own failings and know that Christ love was complete for there transgression on the cross before and after salvation. Most will backslide even if it is the slightest of infraction, but most will still love God, why, because God's grace stands with Christ on the cross to the empty tomb. He paid it all for you and I.
Does not mean God will not correct a person, or chastise someone ever, but when he does it, it going to be with his oil being poured over the wounds sin caused to bring healing. Where are you yoked by the chains of the world, or only the chains of sin of last night, last week, early morning or late afternoon? When will you desire to turn away from sin and follow after Jesus? When temptation comes Jesus will still the water.
Dear Heavenly Father thank you for your mercy in our life when we chase the desires of the flesh, and thank you for your love of restoring us to that right relationship to you, when we can see clearly our sin. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
