Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Romans 8:31-39 KJV
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God spared not his own Son but delivered him for us all, how can God not give us all things. If I was God I would give man nothing more then His Son, no God also gives mercy in his word. God with the tribe of Israel showed man the consequence of reverence of man's desire over him. Individual life seen of David, Abraham, and the leaders of Israel perhaps tells something far greater then about the love of God despite our sin. Abraham obeyed the laws of man in regards to who his wife was, and number of other wives he had just like David. Yet with that obedience came unobedience to God but by faith were they not given eternal life through faith alone in God's word. God never corrected Abraham over his wives situation, but he did correct David over coveting another man's wife. We learn much about God's love for man to tolerate some of our own bad choices. If something by man's laws is a crime, we consider God's law to that it is sin, but if man break man's law only it is crime, if we break God's law only it is sin only. God covered all sin with repentance and forgiveness. When Christ was crucified for our sin, it because we did not seek him, did not believe, did not stand up for laws of God has Christ did? The things of man being different then the laws of God? God's law being more important to the believer.

Where is the lines drawn because God willing gave up his Son for us. In return when we believe and repent(turn from our sin). God is just and willing to forgives us because of blood of Jesus. When we stand up for the ways of God, God is just in forgiveness. Now there is right and a wrong way with dealing with other people then ourselves. What we declare wrong for us because of God's word does not mean the world will embrace in their lives. It is individual decision and concious one not induced by mind control or force. Jesus protected the worship house of God. And yet he did this more then once. Once in his early ministry and then in his last week of ministry.

Protecting the things of God today is different it not about a man made building but our very heart from the things not of God. I think of how many books, television and so forth inflitrate our knowledge and yet the things of God have nothing to do with all these things. It has to do with a heart for God. A time of prayer, a time to listen to God by reading his word and listening to his Spirit. A time of continual prayer as we allow the Holy Spirit to intercede in our daily life, even down to praying and watching over us so we honor God and not our flesh nature or the will of mankind.

It hard to imagine the concept of allowing the world to slowly walk around the believe with out persecution, for they do not like the things of God. People admire the architect of old stone buildings that were churches, and choose fancy ones for weddings, with no regard to the faith of the church. Some not even caring if their wedding ordain by God or blessed by God. The significance of the wedding being only for friends and family and a piece of paper declaring they are man and wife. Yet the following week they enter never again to praise God, or seek God's blessing. Never perhaps enter into prayer even in their private life. No reverence for God but the formality of a public wedding and respect perhaps of parents.

What is this really about it not the entering of the church but the seeking of God and his will for their life and the life of their family, forgetting the reason these buildings were created but for fellowship of God's people and outreach center of God's love for man. We all struggle and fight against evil in our life, but some investigate life to the fullest embracing things that will potentially one day cause harm even if it is not at the moment.

What then if we defend God how are we defending him? Are we defending our way of life, or belief, that in our nation we proclaim Christ but at the same time force it on no one. Being individual lighthouses for God or little candles in the wind. The Little Candle in the wind song sung and written by John Elton, sung in tribute to Marilynn Monroe who died of a drug overdose a long time ago for you who have no clue of the song or the actor it was about. Yet the song speaks of someone that did not know who to go to in the storms/rain of life. Seeming to have it all together beyond the storms. The joy of human life, with out a storm catcher makes only sense to people who are trying to impress everyone but God.

Our nation and the world struggle in the past few years show something not planned by humanity to deal with, without the aid of God. Storms without God is far hard to get through but not impossible. I am often amazed at the storms God has taken me through in my life and I know times he carried me, when I was not focus on faith in him, but on the storm. We might not be able to stop what man does to our society, our humanity, in their destructive nature of eventing things beyond society control without regards to human life. Yet we have a God that encompasses us, wraps his arms around us, and a Savior that died for us in our humanity that nailed him to the cross. In our humanity not looking to the Savior just wanted the world to have peace. Yet he died for peace, and he rose again to a battle of faith, hope and love.

The battle of faith goes from top level of worlds governments to the playground of the mini park. The battle ground of faith is waged in homes across the world. Yet the battle of faith will win if love is unconditional like God's love and correctiveness of God's love when need arises. Loving people in the storm of their life and aiding them with the love of Christ will help win the battle. Love will win when it comes to hope. People die for faith and the opposition of another way of life, that trying hard to control their way of life. Abortion issue alone has cost lives by both parties. Yet if one is pro life then it seems it is opposition if one is killing to protect the unborn, that type of murder never worked. Two death never made a right. Paul did not strike back beyond his freedom as a Roman citizen. He did not use weapons of war to fight his persecutors any other way. Yet it got him to the government of Rome. He would be the first of many yet to come to Rome to testify of Christ.

What right does individual have to think the battle of faith is not just about God but the right way of living that protects all and not just people in opposition. Laws in our land protect people in opposition until criminal action against another person is in opposition, or just brutality of mob violence. Yet people suffer who are not always involved at the hands of criminals that can be prosecuted.

What is the love of Christ be forebearing in opposition if it not causing harm to anyone. Tolerance of life style that in opposition unless hurting the weak. What is Christ love, standing in our nation and saying God's love still reigns. It is standing in the gap of society when possible for those that can not stand up for themselves. Yet Christ love compelled to man despite his persecution, and his death, because they only killed the flesh of Christ, they could not kill the Spirit or the word of God. Christ rose again in incorruptible flesh, to enable us to keep striving forward.

His death showing man will suffer at standing up in faith for the things that are right. I am against homosexuality, but I believe God turned man to their own desires like homosexuality long ago. It part of world and part of what the world is involved in, being sometimes in the opposition to God. A part of life we do not want to see, but when we examine our ownselves what part of the world would God get rid of that in our life. When sin reaches the heights of heaven the wrath of God comes. Does our nation correct the problems of the world. Do I believe people can be friends of the world, only in regards to the law of the land that protects the rights of believers and non believers too.

In other words if a party say it law then the law stands? in American we have right to fight against the law and win like Roe vs Wade. Our nations laws that speak against abortion is protecting the rights of women currently concerning health issues and what not constituted as abortion. That were state laws either are changed that promote abortion or protection of state rights until the law changes nationally once more to commodate them despite protection of unborn.

How far do we have to go to protect human life from the womb to the grave in our land. How far do we have to go, ask Jesus he went to the cross protecting his Father's house. Protecting us from sin of the world. Roman and Jewish leaders caring only about keeping peace. What battle is worth defending by the laws of our land.

God's love for man has no length, no heighth, nor depth, nor restraints, or restrictions. Christ blood covered our sin, our duty is to believe. Obedience to God's Word is our protection. faith in his Son is our eternal protection. God is giving eternal life to all that believe in Jesus. Remember the Messiah was believed upon long before the full understanding of the meaning of the Savior coming in the flesh. Nothing keeps us from the love of God except our own self will, the idea we know better then God. God forbid we think that.

International laws that reflect God's law reflect God's love for mankind. When there is no punishment for crime in another nation like drugs in other countries. Should our law of punishment reflect international laws, despite our laws on that person or do they get a get out of free jail card that say you go ahead do it again. Laws need changing that does not give crime of international law breakers freedom to commit once again else where. Stop the pirates of the world. Is that love, no it using the laws established by man in a responsible way. Can the blind eyes of the church on crime be overlooked? Can protection within the walls of a church bring protection. Only for the innocent. The laws more confining? I do not know. Some church doors open despite the laws across our nation during the pandemic, and others will found other ways of ministry, demonstrating peace. Both legal to do so. Yet we have to ask what does it truly all mean. God's love spreading far and wide, to bring hope around the world.

Dear Heavenly Father, continue to work in our life and in our heart. Moving mountains in our world that your love is greater then man's desire for man. That your love is true protection for eternity. Remind us that your Son demonstrated your love for us by going to the cross and resurrection. Thank you for your salvation through faith in your Son, help the world to receive your truth. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Romans 5:6-11 KJV
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
