Romans 7:7-13 KJV
7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.

My focuse today is on the fact the word of God is good. We can unless declare our own word is good, but is it really. What is it about what we tell our children being right or wrong that is just that not always good. One might tell a child to run in the house because a bee is buzzing around and tell that child that bee going to sting them. The child runs screaming into the house afraid of the bee. In truth the bee might not sting the child only you. In truth the things we lie about is often for someone else protection. Yet the truth is often seen as something of valued more then a lie. If we all started with truth and not a lie, we find ourselves in place of not having to come up with a lie. The devil loves to tell you everything you say is good, but in truth it can be harmful to someone else. Our untruth destroys us as a people even if it is to protect someone else, because the real truth is that the bee if you hold still might not sting you, or you could look at it the wrong way, and it will stings you. The truth it better to leave a bee alone. Running away from the bee can cause it to sting you too. Sin is like that bee, it can turn around and sting you. Marry two woman King Solomon said and what happens you got two woman warring in your house.(Proverbs) What then you have no peace.

When do we recognize the lie is harmful, when the bee stings on the way into the house. Not before the bee stings. What sin does is follow you til it catches up with you. One lie is like that sting from a bee. Paul said he came to a place he knew not the law of God. He knew not what was good for him. He knew not what was harmful and could lead to death. Then the word of God was given to him to learn and with learning he died to the law not physically but spiritually. He seen the law was good, but he did not live up to the law of God. None of us live up to the law of God. Where sin would of entrapped, it became protected through the forgiveness of sin. No one became protected without the confession of sin and turning away from sin with asking for forgiveness from God.

Until we recognize the truth of God's word being good, can we truly be at liberty with God if we choose to follow it? We make a choice to die to self and live for God, because his law is better then what is within ourselves. The word of God set us free from a yoke of sin and gave us liberty and freedom by obeying the Spirit of God. Christ being the word of God upon belief in Jesus we are saved from sin, when we confess it and ask for forgiveness of sin. We must come to a point to surrend to God from the weight of wrong pathways we choose by our own will, and choose God's will for every man. God desires all to be saved through his Son, Jesus.

Dear Heavenly Father, help us to see our word in itself is dangerous, because we know not what good for us, but your word is good and brings us both peace and safety from the world of sin. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
