The Power Walk: Lesson 20
1/30/2022

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Ephesians 4:1-7 KJV
1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

The first baptism starts not with water but the baptism of scripture, or testimony of a believer. It begins with understanding God has come to save you through his Son Christ Jesus. It is that simple and that there is one Lord, one faith, and one baptism. Each part of the baptism of faith comes with the first baptism of the Holy Spirit when one receives the word of God, either into the heart or at least into communication to your heart and mind through the word, and by the Spirit. How then can atheist resist and say God has never spoke to either part, because he or she has never listen to a testimony, or read God's word, or knew that what he witness was of God or that the Holy Bible is God's word. Now with this in mind, lets get on with the second part of the baptism, one not only hears but at some point one has to allow Christ, the Spirit of God with in to reign in one's heart. We may want to submit completely to God but it maybe a learning curve, and even a time of failure. Yet with obedience we are learning who God is. This is all part of the learning process. It learning to obey the Spirit of God when he speaks to the heart. What he speaks should be known by the word of God, Christ Jesus. How can we know that those that never heard can know God and his word? It is often the attitude unbeliever has, or not so much unbeliever, but someone that cares about not only their own soul but another.

We can talk about uniting as believers in regards to faith in God(Father, Son/word and Holy Spirit). Yet those that never heard of God, he is able to speak to anyone he pleases, but he also allows the believers testimony to shine for other to see the works He does in their life and also the correction from time to time he does in their life. If they hear not the word of God the word may be manifest through a life of a believer, through creation, and through God speaking directly to a person. However in this day and age with idols, evil spirits and such how would man know who God is? God has power over the earth. Even that got mistaken into idol worship of volcanoes and such. How do we know God is real and his way is the best way. I can tell you from personal experience without Christ I hate to think where I would be. Would I be an alcoholic, smoker, drughead, a business women in computer making tons of money or maybe even dead at this point in time without God. There no way of knowing completely what life outside of God would of brought into my personal world, that why business owner, political leaders, movie stars, computer wizards, medical field, business workers and all types of industries need to be exactly as they are in their station in life, finding ways to witness for Jesus. They need their light to shine forth as believers in Christ. Paul felt that he was in chains to the Gospel why because he preached and taught many types of people, and yet he was station as a minister of faith, working as work was provided, and sometimes in jail because he could not cover up his position has a minister to come speaking the Gospel with miracles and wonders happening, and yet he had knowledge as a soldier of imprison, trial and persecution. The road he preached on to the world even up to the head leaders of the government in Rome. If the business world does not let your light shine, then you are failing your duty to God. There ways to minister without being obnoxious, but let get real, there something we do need to do is agree on one thing and that the basic foundation of faith. Somethings just have to come with one's own study, one developing struggle of faith, lead by the Spirit til we reach full maturity of the word of God and the light contained within it. There no way to know every passage of scripture, it will always be a continual study of faith. If I stop writting there plenty here to read to help you get part way into your own journey.

The way I teach is not after all how someone else teaches scripture. However the basic principals of faith should be still of who God is as Father, Son And Holy Spirit, How God sent his Son, how Christ died for sin and rose again and how the Holy Spirit is part of a believers life so we now can recognize him as being who he is and the fruit he bears. I talk about it as being part of the baptism of the heart, both about the word and gifts of the Holy Spirit are manifested in the believer upon salvation, but there is something else the baptism sometimes comes in three parts, of aknowledge and receiving as being divine, receiving Christ and who He is as the word, flesh, and Spirit, and acknowledgement of who the Holy Spirit is, to receive him in relationship to do the will of God in one's life. Yet all of these things manifest itself into those that hear and receive the word of God as truth, even when they not fully sure who God is, they are doing the will of God by obedience to helping of others, caring about someone else and so forth. Faith begins somewhere, and yet we might not all be where we should be at whatever age. You can be fifty and still not received Christ or His Spirit in your life, and yet have attributes of faith like good works. Yet the devil in your life will creep out. Even druggies know how to help someone. You say I am not a Christians because that christian I know does not have his act together, I say guess what you don't have your act together either. As long as humanity is etched in our flesh and our heart guess what we can and never will be God or Christ, yet we live for him because he died for and rose again to live eternity. We live for him because we know the road of the cross leads to eternal home. We might slip and even fall, but look also at the blessings that come from our personal struggles, and even the good things that come from our own desire to live for Jesus that we ourselves can testify of and know in our hearts. We believe because He manifested himself to us through his word and Spirit.

Your government and friends might be able to protect and save you from many things, but the will of God they can not protect you from. It is a cross all of us bear, whether we like it or not. It part of who we are in the flesh of being human. Christ in the flesh had a duty to endure the cross, him being God exempted him from being worthy of death. As long as our sin nature lives within us, our consequences of sin remains in this world. Can we live with this knowledge? Either what will be will be. What stage in your life are you in, is now a movie of life. How boring some of us are, when it time to view our life. Why because it also tells how we could of been more exciting by things we do in our life, by taking just a chance at something new.

When you receive Christ, the complete fullness of the Godhead bodily(Colossians 2), into your life, you will receive both knowledge of who God is, who Christ is and who the Holy Spirit is. And the Holy Spirit will teach you all truths about who he is. He being the Spirit of Truth, we can take God's word to the bank of heaven, our earthly banks are imperfect and not always truthful, but God wants us to trust him fully. Banks with good business practices try not to lie, but bear the truth of the situation.

What is my point, God is faithful, truthful, full of wisdom and knowledge. When we fail to recognize all traits of God, we fail to see His perfection in all things and all matters of truth. When you want to grow in unity and in the baptism of God your source is going to come through prayer and scripture. There things God told me about our world over thirty years ago, He shown me the truth of what he spoke to me. Did I understand it, of course not. Yet as we grow and learn about faith over years of experience we look back and say yes God spoke that to me and I know it to be true.

Dear Heavenly Father, you are the great I am. You are our teacher and friend. Lord guide each believer in your truth of who you are to build your church into united front for your kingdom, In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Romans 10:8-21 KJV
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
19 But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
20 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.
21 But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.
