Joel 3:1-21 KJV
1 For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,
2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.
3 And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink.
4 Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head;
5 Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your temples my goodly pleasant things:
6 The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border.
7 Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye have sold them, and will return your recompence upon your own head:
8 And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the children of Judah, and they shall sell them to the Sabeans, to a people far off: for the LORD hath spoken it.
9 Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:
10 Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.
11 Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD.
12 Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.
13 Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.
14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.
15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.
16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.
17 So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.
18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.
19 Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.
20 But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.
21 For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwelleth in Zion.

Prophesy and words are a strange thing. If one can learn to hold there peace, and be silent and not shout for just one moment when what appears to be the things of God happening, one might discover something else is happening. What the first thing to go after a disaster, after a storm, after the first siege of a village. It is the things common to man, the things most important, the goods, the food, the meat, the livelihood, and destruction of enability to sacrifice to God. You want production, you want meat, you want livelihood, and you want to barter, and yet God in man's opinion has destroy the crops, the meat, the trade goods and maybe even the waterway because bacteria from diseased animals and such. Now If you want to read back a chapter you can, but I want to express something here, time and space of destruction. Chapter 3 kind of lays out something else God not involved in man's destruction. Man caused evil that becomes so corrupt that it destroys the area. The point being man causes corruption and destruction of God's plan. We got to take responsibility when we are way out of line. Why because for disaster to befall, is not because the world was doing things correctly. There are things like death that common that has no variance but of God's timing and sometimes God's wrath, but in general God's timing to bring a person to his final place. Yet destruction of the earth, destruction and power punching, power and control forcing evil and evil ways upon people is not of God. Man sells their children, and sometimes there wives. Adultery, abuse, child abuse, abuse through slavery, abuse of any kind, leads to immorality of not sexual immorality, but destroys the morality of healthy living. Anger, judgment, taking revenge all brings about evil, because it your control over a situation and not allowing God's control.

Time of the heathens reign and choose control. The point being God is powerful mightier then a group of heathens thousands of miles wide. Yet he allows their own destruction even littering to destroy them with disease and so forth. Yet it is something to grasp the war in the middle of the valley of decision, of a call to repentance, to make a choice to wage war being on God' side or the heathens. Choosing a side because the day of Lord is coming. We can see the war based on fall of society, war the outcome of war and even disaster, but what we fail to see perhaps is the fall of man because of sin and refusal to omit wrong and the worship of God and his Son(word) to come to pass. Yet I think of how much time has come and gone only to say Lord when is Christ return? The valley of decision being now I serve. The point being despite what going on around us, the evil is going to be there, until Christ return. David speaks of the valley of the shadow of death in Psalms 23, and yet in the shadows of death and destruction there is still light. One day God will remove the light from the earth to bring final destruction. The world not ready for what will come, but it will come. Yet with destruction comes hope and faith of the light of Christ and his word not only come to pass, but those with faith, provision of food comes as well as the need of man. How God will provide maybe the question of our hearts, but with faith the question is no longer needed. With faith provision will come by God's will and not man's.

When you set people into a good situation it does not mean they drink of it, they can be just as corrupt as the hope and means in which you give them to succeed. What if the Caldeans had been pushed back at that time would it of changed Israel, would it been a move of God. Only God knows, but apparently the harden hearts of Israel only proved there need of destruction, and yet the process God is scattering his people who would tell his story to those who knew him not. The stories of faith and hope coming with knowledge in heathen land. One could choose to be like the heathens or be the people of faith that they were. It is the choice we all make in this world, but those that follow God and Christ will have victory. Victory and a time of jubilee. When Christ returns and Christ and God lives with man the world will be healed. The new wine will spring forth and fruit on the trees and food from the plants will come forth bringing substance to eat with meat. The difference of Do you love God enough to follow even in time of destruction or hate God and blame him for what he did not cause.

Dear Heavenly Father, there are things common to destruction, based on evil, based on the ways of evil that acknowledge not you. The difference in conservation and the difference of caring not what one destroys, from families, homes, and wildlife. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
