Matthew 2:12-15 KJV
12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.
13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.
14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:
15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

Who were these people God would protect. The wise men were from the tribe of King David Great Grandmother Ruth. The sheep no doubt from King David side of the family, shepherds in the field. These people guarded by God to proclaim the good news of a King and Savior to be born. The ancestorial march to see the newest of family, but carrying with them all the baggage of their beliefs which did not always go inside with the faith of David. They would carry a faith not of God with them. Why would God protect them. If we live in America we have people around us that believe in God and his word without question, even if they believe something else as well, and then there are atheist among us that believe nothing at all. We also have people of faith. We have people that believe without question the word of God and all that pertains in scripture. Others can accept our faith as good based on the laws of our land that founded on scripture. It civil law of man that works for all people and types of people. In scripture the first protection of a kingdom not of God would be when Abraham lied to King Abimelech concerning who his wife Sarah was in regard to not being his wife. She in truth was his biological half sister, but also in hiswife. When the king discovered the truth, he had not slept with Sarah yet and gave her back to Abraham and wanted to know why he deceived him. God protected him through a dream, yet he also had other gods he worshipped. God's protection on people that honor him despite their sin against him is often not understood. I agree it can be hard to grasp. It had to do with respect, despite Idolatry. A reverence of a God that would protect him from sinning against his people. Something Moabites had learn long ago, despite their many beliefs. It hard to understand when our fear of one God is enough in our life, and yet the fear of other gods have never been because of this one God and his protection through his Son.

Wise men asleep and they warned by God in a dream to go back a different way. Joseph is warned to take Mary and the baby Jesus to Egypt. Wise men return not to King Herod. Kind of hard to tell a King where a baby is, if he no longer there, yet he exist. God did this so he could call his Son out of Egypt, as in the days of old he called Israel out of Egypt. God repeats because of King Herod wants to kill Baby Jesus. He would call his Son back to the land of promise when King Herod dies. He would grow up a Nazarene, in the city of Nazareth.

The prophesy a reminder of God's ability to get one to point A to point B in their journey. Just like in our own faith in God we must travel the road of faith and get from one point of faith to another. We do not know the impact his one star had on the wise men individual faith despite other faith's intwined, yet the evidence of truth from God and his power was testified to them in their personal life. If raised in church we might understand the testimony from God in the unbelievers life, or in the life of someone that believes but has not dedicated their faith to one God alone. Why I say church, is the standard of one God in a faith of one household may not be the same as household of many faiths. The idea of this is how it is because I believe this, is not good enough for those accepting of other faith's sometimes. It the religious background that our way is the only way, and though I believe Christ is the only way, I also recognize others will not be always in total agreement, or acceptance of this. In my opinion they need the compass of that first Christmas star to guide them to point A. That God of the Bible valued them as a people despite salvation would only come through Christ Jesus. The need to have hope despite other beliefs, that this is one true faith can only come by God's Spirit and his testimony to the heart of those willing to listen.

One has to be totally convince to only see Christ as the reason for the season, that he is the Savior of the whole world. That there is no other way but Jesus. Where is your faith this morning. Are you sold out for Jesus alone? Are you in search and still struggling with why God's allowed you to live despite your mistakes, your unbelief, your desire of faith in him. Perhaps your own idolatry a sin against God. There is only one begotten Son of God(John 3:16). There only one salvation plan for eternity. There may be many escape routes in our world but only one that leads to eternity with God.

In Revelations the devil had a place that when he was cast out his place was no longer in heaven. We might ask why was he cast out, because their was no room for his deception and lies. As I looked at this passage there was one birth was taken up into heaven (speaking of the Messiah). Spiritual birth of faith coming through the Messiah and through the Jewish faith to the Messiah. Seven church having the same fait as Jewish temple. In other words any one or group trying to set themselves above Christ will not remain in heaven. Spiritual birth in Christ can only come through faith in him, and faith in Christ can not give new life outside Christianity to another faith. the churches of the world divide and split for many reason some because of church growth and others because of disagreement. Yet in truth there is only one faith, one Lord and one baptism and it will not change. Jesus is part of the triune Godhead and is complete alone or with Holy Spirit and Father as God alone. Jesus is the word of God that became flesh for us to behold him as teacher, prophet, and Messiah God. There is a passage in Jeremiah I believe it is, that speaks of the two women, the one harlot and the another woman. Harlot representing the worship of Christ, not as a true harlot, but the only harlot God allows because they are the same as the non harlot. There are people that believe only because of his word(his Son) in him and others that come only to Father as the Jewish people did long ago. Do the two faiths still in twine. God is clear that there is only the before Christ and after Christ meaning Christ became the only hope. Jesus in Revelations 19:10 becomes the prophetic word. Jesus is the prophetic word today meaning the Holy Spirit speaking. Some can receive the prophetic word without the cross. No the cross of Christ also has meaning but it looses when one see not that Christ paid for all our sins. We all carry a cross but no other cross can take away the sins of the world. The prophetic word came to King Abimelech when Abraham sinned. The Spirit of God speaking came to save the king. Yet without faith in Christ and redemption to repentance and salvation through Christ Jesus, there was no salvation for eternity. Do you believe Jesus is the Savior of the world, not only present but for eternity.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for your Son Jesus and protection you place not only on your people but a protection to even those who respect you that might or can sin against your people. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
