Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Isaiah 25:1-12 KJV
1 O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.
2 For thou hast made of a city an heap; of a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.
3 Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee.
4 For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.
5 Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.
6 And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.
7 And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.
8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away
from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.
9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
10 For in this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.
11 And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.
12 And the fortress of the high fort of thy walls shall he bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust.

As local teams across our nation played football at the high school level, I had to check my local area this AM to see who won. It was one of them nights that early to bed was greater then the need to know who won. However I was not disappointed at all with how the game turned out, though I not a big fan of football or from the area I live in. I was glad to see it was a good game of 25 to 29. Meaning both teams played hard but there could be only one victor. The school year seems to have started off well. It hard to believe all the children are back in school and all those adults going to college/university are head back or are there right now, depending on your school. 2022 is a going to be a great year of learning. Yet I see these young ones growing up and know that battle of having a great year as just begun. The children already in some areas report discipline problems because they believe the pandemic caused it. Wake up people it simple, it is not the pandemic that the problem, child are no longer taught how to sit in school and learn. Why because there no time for play and time of interaction. Take away recess and kids go nuts. Take away routine of how things are done, same thing can occur. That would be a war if recess was done away with. No kid can sit in a classroom for eight hours with no play. Go school year 2022-2023. Win big with good grades. Learn and remember God is in control. Jesus is all you need to fight those demons.

Talking about victory today. Isaiah speaks of God's victory. God's eternal victory. We are all on the football field of life. Some us will win the victory, because God is in our life and in control of the events happening in the world. The force of another player knocking the other player down may look like victory, until the realization that the player knock down does not have the ball. What is power the one that controls the game. God holding all the playing cards in the palm of his hand. You might be dealt a bad hand, but he still holding your life in the palm of his hand.

What does it mean. to be in the palm of God's hand? As children we sing God's got the whole world in his hands. Yet even with us holding us there something missing, knowledge that as he holds us, he is not holding our fate in his hands. We choose to jump from his palms there is going to be fire or a huge ravine. what does this mean when we play ball with God we better be jumping into the other palm and not trying to mess up his game. If God is omnipresent and omnipotent, then you can reason you can not win without him in your life.

Isaiah speaks of God omnipotent power and fact he is everywhere, but at the time of final destruction of God the vail is removed. The barrier between him and us. Meaning the power to over come God's wrath is impossible. No longer is the worlds sin covered. No longer is salvation possible when Christ returns. Whose team you are on will be determind with whether you in the sky with Christ, or on the earth below facing final judgment.

The time of Moses we see God's wrath coming on sin quicly in the wilderness, at the time o the law after the wilderness we see exile of God's people because of disobedience. Instead of death for most, they were carried off to another place. Hopefully for they would repent. The time of Christ the veil was ripped and blood of Christ cover the earth. Yet all must repent to be saved. No there will be unsaved people on the earth at the time of Christ return, that who will be facing God's wrath. Yet every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to glory of God. God's people are created to worship God, but it more then that, we not just chosen, but we choosing him and his word. Meaning Christ the bridegroom proposed to each of us and asked us to be his wife. When the day of salvation. Those terms are not used or not by anyone but God. If anyone believes in Jesus, as they grow in Christ they will understand more and more about the basics of faith, and the meat retained in scripture.

We want Christ coming and we understand little of it. We fear God but we still do not grasp it all. Moses people longed to worship God and to be free of Pharoah, but when they got to the wilderness the reality of God came to them. If God is holding the whole world can we leap into ravine. God's holding the world in his hands to redeem us through his Son and word. Word in heaven purified, his Son that walk the earth sacrificed and raised again by the law of man, the kangeroo court.

Let us ask ourselves if God is preparing a feast for us, then are we ready for the feast of the Lamb, are we prepared for feasting on his word, and knowledge of the word coming to pass. Those who deal with prophesy in their life, must recognize it as such. Many devils will try and duplicate God's prophesy, but God's prophesy is heard in the believers ear and heart.

People that know God's mercy and deliverance will have faced storm, proverty, and in the need of God's mercy and gained it because of faith in him and his Son and walked by his Spirit upon new birth in Christ Jesus. The city that played for the devil the violin will face destruction. God will destroy it from the face of the earth. The enemy of God are confused by God power. They confound by God's ability to protect his people. Yet the people of God struggle in their faith to hold to God's unchanging hands. Our victory is resting in the palm of God's hands. The world runs to and fro on the palm of God's hands not knowing he knows how to destroy with one swat. He knows not all will remain in his hands, but those that do are like the grain of wheat flowing and the wind taking the chaff of the wheat away from the pour of gain from one had to the other. God wants to purify us on the earth, pouring the chaff away as we rest in his word.

God will swallow up death in victory Isaiah said and he has through his Son. Death is gone, one direction, heaven or hell. No other direction on the earth. We facing judgment or salvation. We are going to switzland or exile? Are we going to beulah land, or hell? Death was destroy when death was overcome by Christ restruction. Yes we still physically die, but spiritual we are no longer dead. Upon repentance everyone of our tears are dried and we understand the mercy of God and the joy of our salvation through Christ Jesus.

The day of rejoice we now wait for is the coming of Christ return. Yet with our waiting we know Judgment will come to unbelievers. If God's holds off his coming, it mercy being shown to the heathen that sit on the earth in the palm of his hands. If they sit and believe not destruction is theirs not to control but to know for eternity in the pit of hell.

Well you believe in Jesus today. Isaiah is looking before the cross, Isaiah is one the most prophetic books about the Messiah writen before Christ. Think of faith today? What do you believe. Can you receive Christ today, knowing God had victory and will always have the victory. He is everywhere(omnipresent) and omnipotent God meaning all powerful. He got the devil beat.

Dear Heavenly Father, as you prepare the hearts of those you call to you, to believe, open their hearts that they may see the truth of your word. Bless them and help them see the need of your Son. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Revelation 19:3-9 KJV
3 And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.
4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.
5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.
6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
