Genesis 4:16-24 KJV
16 And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.
17 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.
18 And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech.
19 And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.
20 And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle.
21 And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ.
22 And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah.
23 And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt.
24 If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold.

Cain is marked and is left to live in a faraway place in the land of Nod where he builds a city named after his Son Enoch. Cain no longer living in the presence of God. Yet it did not mean his labor was unfruit or his family line destroyed. Cain did not take his out of presence experience and mope, it seems he became fruitful to living in the land of Nod. One the biggest misconception of people of faith and people not of faith is the worldly view of productivity. God in his wisdom with or without faith created humans to be productive, in the worldly sense or human sense of productivity. Man sees the productivity of Cain and it recorded in history as he built a city and named it after his son called Enoch. In this city we find the first instruments, organs and harps. The family line of Cain is actually interesting. For we also find brass and iron being used by these people. Something to note Lamech killed a man, and knew the consequence in his action. Yet we see something happening, God was still talked about in Cain's the family line. Acknowledgement of God. One can concluded not everyone an outcast in Cain's family tree.

What does it mean to be out of God's presence, perhaps better described as not presence in worship, or the ability to ask of God in prayer, or continual meditation. Yet it does mean there is absence of God in one's life. There is two Enochs one is the descendant of Adam, and is seventh generation. This is not Cain's son. For this Enoch walked with God and is a different generation. In Jude it sheds a different light on Cain and his exile from God, in fact it says he followed in the way of Balaam for the hope of reward. Those that understand that Balaam followed after the ways of devil/baal, then the reward they sought was hell, total annilation from God. Were all the ancestors of Cain without hope, perhaps if they did not believe the truth about God. There are people out there that have no regard for God and his ways, and nothing you or I can say about it will change that. These people might even be productive in their life as far as accomplishments. Yet it does not mean it is of God. These instruments made were they of God? Depends on who you ask. Many believers love music, but is it of God. I personally perfer a babbling brook/creek. Inventions no matter where they come from can be beneficial to humanity in general. Yet this separation of God is not beneficial to humanity, for we need God in our world today. We need his law of love and him to govern it.

The importance of turning away from sin once sin is discovered is more important then one can understand, but Cain there was no repentance, only concern for his own safety, which he lost in the end. Yet he did not loose the time on earth to make a name for his son. He went about created a place for his son and people to live while on the earth. He made the city called Enoch.

If you ever walk into the place that not of God you learn quickly several things it a place not always sensual, evil in appearance or even without compassion. What it does mean even the devil does works by God's word, but not by his power. God calls all people to be fruitful and increase, and some never bare fruit, but still take care of the animals and gather food for their family, whether by crops or in the store. They look like us, and appear to some to be like us, but in truth they only wolves in sheep clothing.

If you ever meet the wolves show them the same respect you want, hopefully they will do likewise, not because you did but because they decide to follow social graces. In their heart is black by sin, and unrepentance. Can God forgive the wolves not with the intercession of Jesus not without God's mercy and grace and the wolves turning from sin. Why mention it, because until we receive Christ we can not be saved by even our works. our works save us not. God's word say anyone to believe in Christ will be saved. Even the devil believes and trembles. Yet the devil is cast out of this world for eternity in the eternal lake of fire that burns forever and ever, because he desire evil and not the love of God.

Man gives their heart to the devil for the devil reward and lands up receiving that fire that burns forever. Give your heart to Jesus, God's only begotton Son has he called us to do, and you live in a world of eternal life with God, his Son and his Spirit. City God has made for you and me is a place of love and continual paradise with him. Cain was clearly without hope, but you don't have to be without hope. You can receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior of your life, to be your intercessor and lawyer before God the Father. Your great high Priest, who already risen from the dead and sits at the right hand of the Father. Turn from your sins, and no longer follow the ways of the devil. Seek Christ today.

Remember when you receive Christ as your Savior and you repent of your sins, he is able to keep you from that day forward in his love and his grace. He able to keep you from falling into the sins and lust of the flesh. Yet you must be willing to stay in God's presence and not giving way to the devil. The devil will take a mile if you give one inch to his ways. Your focus must remain on God and his word. It a hard task to do even by super christians. They are still learning too and make mistakes. There are times we are weak but we got to remember God is strong. Rest and allow him to carry us in our weakness. To hold our hand in the valley, and give us a boost when climbing to the mountain top. And allow God to catch us as we land in the valley of the shadow of death.

Dear Heavenly Father, reach down to your people enable them by your Spirit to live for you, giving them the strength to run that race you set before us. Warning us of sin that as you did Cain, enable us to say no. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.
14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.
17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
