Humanly Perfect Mother

Coming From Turtle30cshell I am your host Christina
Farris. Today has I begin to talk about motherhood, we
can not forget how special mother’s are. Mother’s know
what God knows about loving their children. The child that
says I don’t like what you cooked, or that thing you just
made. Is not a child to necessarily dislike. The mother
knows the child is demonstrating individuality. Voicing that
opinion of likes and dislikes. So when a child comes to
their mother and says I do not think you should sky dive, it
is not insult. It is not to hurt the momma, but it to say I
want to protect you. Yet in all reality, my mother never sky
dived, yet I doubt she ever would. Yet I can honestly say I
did complained about a few meals over the years, not
considering the time it took to cook it. In fact my mother is
a marvelous cook. Her handy work perfection. Yet all
children lack that appreciation for their mother, until they
leave the nest and begin to realize what all their mother
did to make their surroundings a home. My Father and
Mother came to see me this week. And each passing year I
realize how much time is slipping away and each visit I
want to hold them a little longer and maybe even go down
that road with them for a little while. Yet as adult you
realize you have to hold on to the sweet memories, and let
the things that were not perfect go. For parents are only
humanly perfect and not godly perfect. See even with
Christian parents they have the same fallacy as any
human, yet often in their children eyes their parents have
a form of perfection, because there is no one like their
mom and dad.

Today as we think of how special our mother’s are, we can
not neglect the mother of our Lord and Savior. She watch
a perfect baby grow up without mistakes and faults, only
to be blessed with other children not so perfect. To raise
our Lord she would have been someone extra special to
know the uniqueness of His perfection. Jesus first public
miracle during his earthly days was seen being done by
his mother’s request. Obedient to His mother, yet
rebuking her maybe in a teasing way that His time was not
yet.

Yet Mary sat and watched her Son’s ministry flourish.
Hearing both those that approved and those that
disproved, only in the third year of his ministry to have
her  heart broke upon His death. Maybe at some point the
shock the horror of that day might of finally faded with the
memory of His resurrection and ascension into Heaven.
Yet Mary held everything in her heart. What mother would
not have.

Yet in His final moments of His death, He desired his
mother not to be alone.

John 19:25-27 KJV
(25)  Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother,
and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and
Mary Magdalene.
(26)  When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the
disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his
mother, Woman, behold thy son!
(27)  Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And
from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

Jesus perhaps by saying to John and to His mother that
they were to be family and care for each other, was really
speaking to all of us, how we need not to care for just our
own mother but mother’s of this world without children
and with children. That the greatest gift is love, the
greatest sacrifice is love. For Christ died not for just for
everyone in the world, but for His Mother, and His
disciples. These not being perfect, but in His perfection
seeing the need we ourselves have to be with people and
to comfort and to care about others in our grief as well as
our joy.

This mother’s day whether your mother is living or has
passed on remember the joy one has given each other.
Remember that our Lord wants us to love and to treasure
the special love of not only our mother but our father also
and our children. Even if you were not raised by your
mom, you may have another woman in your life that has
been like a mother who cared for you, and that person is
just as dear to you. God given you that person to
treasure. Let us treasure the women everywhere, who
shows those instincts of motherhood.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for mother’s everywhere
as well as our own unique Mother, who you blessed us
with who gave us birth. Help us to treasure the memories.
In Jesus precious name, Amen.
