Arise And Walk
by turtle

I am your host Christina Farris coming from turtle30cshell.
com today message is on get up and walk. Many people
do not have the faith to believe in healing in the since of
saying to a cripple get up and walk. Many charlatans in the
pulpit that say arise only to be less healed when they first
walked into service. If healing was going on today like at
the time of Christ we would see people from around the
world standing in line of these ministers. It would take little
faith of those working with these ministers to believe and
it would spread like wild fire. Something else that would
happen is these ministers would be so lifted up that they
would have to figure a way to keep the act going with or
without faith. See if you ever see a true healing then you
want that for everyone. You do not want one person to be
sick. You never want to hear the word cancer or the word
incurable when it comes to any illness known or unknown
to man. The fear of super virus would leave. And the
threat of diseases would go. Weapons of mass destruction
like zombie threats would have no place in our world.

I experience healing by doctors, by God alone, and sought
prayer in all situations of health. And at no time has
healing from God ever come, but when doctors could not
do a thing for me. God healed in situations where there
was no cure. I am not saying He did not use doctors to
heal, or home remedies, that is knowledge that God has
blessed man with to treat problems. God healed me for a
purpose and the first time I was made well, it had not
occurred to me fully that I was whole, because the fact the
illness could recur in my body. In fact it is a threat with
radiation treatments of reoccurrence as I go for prevention
treatment for cancer. The second time I was healed I knew
it, not instantly, but I knew God had healed my pain. He
took it from me. I was prayed for and God took the pain
and threw it away. That constant pain and need for
medicine left. I began to search for a reason for my
healing, because in my zeal I wanted everyone else to
experience what I had. Jesus is the great physician, but
not all that are prayed for are healed completely but
always spiritually if one has faith.

In my zeal and my searching I learned something of value
about healing it is for a purpose. Everything God does in a
person’s life is for a purpose. The purpose of my healing
was so I could share the gospel of Jesus Christ. Instead of
sitting and complaining about how much I hurt and was in
pain. My concentration changed from what can I do to
occupy my mind with to control the pain, but what can I do
for Jesus. See I come to place before my healing of
needing to find a way to increase our finances. I began to
do handcrafts that did not bring in much money but did
buy at least a loaf of bread. When I was healed, I know
longer had to buy pain pills that were breaking our budget
so I began to preach with no pay.

I have two miracles happen this week, two major bills are
off my back, by the grace of God and thanks to those who
care for the poor. The need for health care in America
booms. Government takes care for many poor, not I, for
food, clothing and even cell phones for some who need to
be able to call doctors or job appointment interviews. Yet
with this type of aid for many the church as become less
important, no longer the savior in crisis.  Our churches
still providing basic needs for those needing it upon
request, but with the need becoming greater churches
wonder how they feed the multitudes that will come. Yet
those who have been helping for years and years know
the grace of God is sufficient and the need will be meet.
People do not understand why there is a need for a church
on every street corner in a city or small town. It is to meet
the spiritual, and physical needs of the people around
them. When a church stops caring and people stop having
a physical need, they do not learn of their spiritual need. A
need that is great in our land. The more thievery, the more
drugs, the more violence, the more threats of guns being
taken from responsible gun owners the desire to become
irresponsible happens, rapist, murders, and abuse rage.

One can shout peace, but there is truly no peace in our
world. The threat of North Korea looms over the U.S. and
yet I doubt they are very fearful of this small country. Yet
it took only David with a sling shot to kill Goliath. North
Korea and atheist land. Not caring about the religious
world around them.  America sits and wonders what their
first attack will be. Will it be on allies, or will it be attack
with a missile that can land on our shore. Well it be
plague, or will it be psychological warfare.

The fact is our nation for years stood with God on our
side, but let me ask this has people heard the warnings of
those against us. Has our nation unity flown the coop. Has
the control of big brother caused us to tremble against our
own government. Has the spread of atheism across our
country by taking Bible and prayer out of school caused
the devil to rise. Some of our biggest atheist do good
works. They act as they care for the poor, yet evil lurks
around the corner. It is about the mighty dollar, the wealth,
prestige and the ability to flaunt what they have. To give
with out true love. The more they have the more they
show.

Christians work hard to demonstrate that same love,
through mission campaigns, mission in action, mission
both home and abroad. Caring for their neighbor, caring
and showing in ways they are talented. Some taking hot
meal to a neighbor in need, because they love to cook, or
fixing the water line of a neighbor or their church. Helping
an older person get their groceries when they can no
longer drive, because that person’s family lives to far
away. Christians been doing it for years, and atheist
imitate to help their own. God has got the devil even doing
it. Yet the devil is often full of dissension or trickery. Yet
they still do it. Christians we still got a lot more to teach
that devil about how to care for others with honesty and
integrity. God love is honest and integrity. His love still
stands the test of time. Devil still has the need to knock
down the truth of God’s world, claiming it to be a lie, when
God is real. Even the devil knows God is real. God is still
in the miracle business. Yet we get upset when that
miracle does not happen for us as we want too.

That miracle we seen others receive but have not received
ourselves, why because of a lack of faith, maybe. Or was it
just not God’s timing, maybe He teaching something to
you. May the miracle did not come because of sin. Yet the
reason effects little on whether we believe in God or not.
That was choice before we asked of God. What we need
do is come to a place of saying Lord what must I do to
receive that blessing. Do I need to wait twenty years like
Abraham for a son, do I have to have to stop running like
Jonah, or do I have to be willing to repent like Israel did
when they heard the word of God. Has God asked you to
do something like Naaman and you refused? Naaman a
man with leprosy was told to dunk himself in the Jordan
river seven times. He did not want to because the water
was nasty. Yet He obeyed with hope of what he did not
understand, a God that loved him enough to heal him,
through obedience.

Last but not least healing can come to human being
through death if they are spiritually right with God. God
will wipe away all tears from their eyes. Jesus will heal
them. Today’s text that inspired this message came from
Acts 3 and 4. Where Peter healed the man that was
crippled and began to preach, and though he was thrown
in jail for preaching, even the leaders could not argue that
God had made the man well. Many were saved because of
what they saw the man healed and what they heard
preached. That why miracles happen so the gospel can be
spread. Take time to read Acts 3 and 4. I close with these
verses.

Acts 4:8-14 KJV
(8)  Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them,
Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
(9)  If we this day be examined of the good deed done to
the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;
(10)  Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of
Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom
ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him
doth this man stand here before you whole.
(11)  This is the stone which was set at nought of you
builders, which is become the head of the corner.
(12)  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is
none other name under heaven given among men,
whereby we must be saved.
(13)  Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John,
and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men,
they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that
they had been with Jesus.
(14)  And beholding the man which was healed standing
with them, they could say nothing against it.

Impotent in verse nine means he was crippled. The man
had not been able to walk.

Acts 3:1-26 KJV
(1)  Now Peter and John went up together into the temple
at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
(2)  And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was
carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple
which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered
into the temple;
(3)  Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the
temple asked an alms.
(4)  And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John,
said, Look on us.
(5)  And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive
something of them.
(6)  Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such
as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of
Nazareth rise up and walk.
(7)  And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up:
and immediately his feet and ankle bones received
strength.
(8)  And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with
them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising
God.
(9)  And all the people saw him walking and praising God:
(10)  And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at
the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with
wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto
him.
(11)  And as the lame man which was healed held Peter
and John, all the people ran together unto them in the
porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.
(12)  And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people,
Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so
earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness
we had made this man to walk?
(13)  The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the
God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye
delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate,
when he was determined to let him go.
(14)  But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired
a murderer to be granted unto you;
(15)  And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised
from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
(16)  And his name through faith in his name hath made
this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith
which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in
the presence of you all.
(17)  And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye
did it, as did also your rulers.
(18)  But those things, which God before had shewed by
the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he
hath so fulfilled.
(19)  Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins
may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall
come from the presence of the Lord;
(20)  And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was
preached unto you:
(21)  Whom the heaven must receive until the times of
restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the
mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
(22)  For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall
the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like
unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he
shall say unto you.
(23)  And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will
not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the
people.
(24)  Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that
follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise
foretold of these days.
(25)  Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the
covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto
Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the
earth be blessed.
(26)  Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus,
sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you
from his iniquities.

Name of Jesus had made this man whole. Jesus still heals
today. I know because He healed me. And yet I also know
that it was not who prayed for me but God’s timing to heal
me. See this man was born lame, and everyday he was
brought and laid on the temple porch to beg for money.
That day of healing came for him because he believed, no
but it helped. It is because the word of God might be
spread to those that knew him. Healing for a purpose, that
the gospel of Jesus would be spread.
