The Calling

I am your host Christina Farris coming from turtle30cshell.
com. Today I am speaking on sin. Sin is the last word
anyone wants to talk about and in truth I rather tell you all
the good works of God and not speak on the evil deeds
called sin. I was diagnosed with cancer back in November.
I finished up speaking for Christmas and it seems I taken
about two months off from not speaking. When one is
called to preach or teach, one can not just quit, the call is
too strong it is much like sin. When you want to sin the
temptation to do something over and over again comes. It
like making cookies and putting them in a jar which in
reality is a waste of time if you craving cookies. Instead of
eating one soon the whole batch is gone. Sin is addictive,
good things of this life in moderation seldom is addictive,
it should be. Exercise is good for the health, and sin of
course is not. That batch of cookies eaten brings on
weight gain. Exercise for health brings about muscles and
healthier heart. Yet who truly wants to be in the habit of
exercise. It is not something that comes natural it is more
of a discipline learn habit. Eating cookies is a craving, a
sense of smell of warm cookies baking in the oven, yet in
moderation cookies are not sinful. Yet out of control that
they over time can be deadly. The cookie itself is not sin.
The action behind the cookie is sin if one eats them all
gone.

No one wants to talk about gluttony as being sin. In fact
over eating is sinful, we all do it from time to time. And
though food is meant to be enjoyed, it not meant to be in
excess. Eating constructively is healthy, not eating to lose
weight is dangerous. It is just as wrong as overeating. To
eat responsible is a choice.

When I was diagnosed with cancer that was treatable I felt
like I been hit with a bomb, though there was cure. I was
diagnosed over fifteen years prior to a more serious
illness called myelofibrosis which there was no cure but
Jesus. We all sin we all fall short and there is sin God
forgives without us ever asking. Yet there is sin we have
to come to place to ask forgiveness. However scripture
does say what sin is covered without treatment.

Romans 5:12-15 KJV
(12)  Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world,
and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for
that all have sinned:
(13)  (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not
imputed when there is no law.
(14)  Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses,
even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of
Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to
come.
(15)  But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if
through the offence of one many be dead, much more the
grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man,
Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

Sin that is covered without treatment is when there is no
guidelines of what sin is. The law brings about
condemnation. It like Adam and Eve knowing they were
naked. The knowledge that came from eating from the tree
of good and evil, pricked their hearts. The law came with
knowledge. It is something no man or woman can get away
from.
Jesus covers all sin. All sin leads to death. Yet the sin of
righteous man of faith is forgiven, for He covered by the
death and crucifixion of Jesus who was raised on the third
day. After getting saved we have an advocator or a lawyer
his name is Jesus.

Sin that is covered without being asked is that sin that
comes after salvation. Yet no one can not continue in sin
After one gets saved, one is responsible to obey God.
Moses a believer in God and the Messiah to come, yet he
struck the rock twice which still was punishable by God,
because God told him to hit the rock once. Yet he did not
loose his place in heaven. His anger had gotten the best of
him, despite his faith in God and for a moment he forgot
who was in charge and who he was to obey. Yet God was
teaching Moses discipline, by not giving him the promise
land on earth but giving him eternal promise land which is
salvation.

If one sins God is going to correct that person, even if it is
only one simple mistake. For when one gets saved he then
is like clay. God begins to mold a person life as person
yields to Him. Molding him into a vessel fit for the kingdom
of God. Though our garments are spotless through the
washing through the blood of Jesus, God still has work to
do in our life. Because bad habits that are ingrained by
sinful nature seems more fun then God’s way. Yet God’s
discipline is healthier for everyone. God teaches us that
one cookie is healthy a dozen is not. Sex is healthy with a
spouse, it can be deadly when there is sexual immorality,
by sleeping around with whoever or swapping lovers from
week to week, even with all the precautions one can take.
When God says do not, there is a reason. Yet many in Old
Testament, men had many wives and even slept with
prostitutes. God never ordained that life style. Yet He
ordain one man and one woman. A healthy relationship is
good. It is a discipline life style. Well eating all the cookies
in a batch kill you, maybe if done everyday. Then again
maybe not. The point is this stop worrying about all the
things you done wrong. Everyone is guilty of sin. Don’t let
sin stop you from receiving Jesus. Allow God to mold you
and make you into the person He wants you to be. And if
giving up certain things that unhealthy then so be it.
Understand what God wants for you is best for you.
However let Him work it out.

Just pray, Lord I put my life in your hands and lead me
and guide me by your Spirit. I believe Jesus died for my
sins and receive your precious gift of eternal life. In Jesus
precious name, Amen.

Everyone is called to salvation, even if they never heard
gospel of Jesus. It begins with believing in God and what
God’s Spirit speaks to you. It continues with knowledge
provided by His Spirit upon faith. Jesus being the Word
that became flesh, begins at the moment of faith, believing
what God says. Without Jesus then there is no faith. Yet
knowledge brings understanding that there is good and
evil. One starts there deciding whether they desire evil or
good. God way is good. God’s way is salvation through
Christ Jesus.
