God of All Comfort

Coming from turtle30cshell I am your host Christina
Farris. Today I want to share a passage of scripture
with you on the comfort of God. The events of this
Friday’s shooting in Connecticut in stills in all of a
since of grief and frustration of not having the ability to
stop the shooting to prevent innocent lives being
taken. Does these shooting have any purpose for us.
Is there any light in such tragic circumstances. There
be some that will not want to here this today, but even
so I hope this message will help people to understand
God allows things to happen for a purpose. His
purpose is not always understood as justice.

2 Corinthians 1:1-7 KJV
(1)  Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God,
and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God
which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all
Achaia:
(2)  Grace be to you and peace from God our Father,
and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
(3)  Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all
comfort;
(4)  Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we
may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble,
by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted
of God.
(5)  For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our
consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
(6)  And whether we be afflicted, it is for your
consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the
enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer:
or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation
and salvation.
(7)  And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as
ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also
of the consolation.

God allows us to suffer at the hands of the enemy so
we can help someone else suffering at the hand of the
enemy. If you never been hurt, you never can help
someone else who been hurt because you have not
felt their pain. No one wants to feel the pain of a mass
shooting. No one wants to feel the pain of being hit by
train which I was. No one can tell me what it was to
feel a train hit me, but those that face that same thing. I
can not tell you what it is like to be hit by a tractor
trailer or to dive off the New River Gorge bridge with a
bungee cord tied to a harness to protect me. Yet I can
tell you what it feels like to be hit by train. I can also tell
you that since my wreck there been things I gone
through that were worse then my wreck. I was hit in
the driver side door of my car when crossing a piece
of track that was blocked by another train. My car
stalled. I was hit. Peace I felt during my accident I
know was God, for I cried out to Him. I said Jesus you
can stop that train, but He did not.

Here is the point God does not stop everything that He
could, but allows us to go through it and allows us to
come out the other side victoriously. Yet in the
process we feel sorrow, pain, misery, discomforted at
times and not least heart ache. Right now Connecticut
is experience a lot of heart ache and anger. America
hears their cries and feel powerless to do much in one
since because each state has it’s own government
even though connected to a united government called
federal. Certain laws concerning mental illness need to
be federal and not state. Yet it takes laws to enact this.
States agreeing on these things, even if state still rules
on different issues and people.

As a nation we can do something we can ask
congress to do something federally. We can ask our
states to agree. This enforced by government will help
protect but will never fully protect the innocent. Today
I calling out all lawyers to work on this issue. Whether
they hear me, I don’t know. But I know it takes legal
people to figure out something that will work to
protect. Nothing is full proof. However I do know the
solution to every problem and that is Jesus. If our
nation will fall on their knees and turn from their
wicked ways, God will heal our land. Have you sought
God, because as our nation refuses God we will see
the world continuing to get worse and not better.
When we allow sinfulness of the minority to rule our
land it is a corruption of government. Let us enforce
the laws we have. Let us turn to God and repent of
sin. Let us follow the word of God in love and mercy to
all. To show the love to those suffering at the hurt of
the lose of their children in Connecticut. These
children were beautiful young people with dreams and
values and adults no doubt had a lot going for them to,
until their life was taken from them. As we mourn let
us not forget to love, even if we do not fully
understand their sorrow or their grief from such tragic
act of murder suicide. Let us offer the hope of a better
tomorrow by making changes in our land and giving
them the key of hope which is found in Christ Jesus.
God is the God of all comfort, His love surrounds us
still and if for no other greater purpose but to help the
next person that goes through such anguish of lose in
murder suicide.

Dear Heavenly Father I am asking you to wrap your
arms around those suffering in Connecticut. To enable
them with the peace only you can bring to their
families in difficult time loss of a innocent love one.
May you grant peace and hope to those families as
well as the family who love one did the shooting. In
Jesus precious name, Amen.
