The Caravan of The Gentiles

Today coming from turtle30cshell.com, I am your host
Christina Farris. I am speaking today on the journey from
the east and west. Something that occurs in scripture is a
sequences of repetitive events. Events that seem to
repeat itself. The caravan of Gentiles to Israel. The first
caravan taking place at the time of the Queen of Sheba
who came from the far west so to speak to see king
Solomon. Queen taking a journey to see the wises king
that ever lived during her time. She brings a caravan of
camel to bring present to King Solomon as custom as well
as to exchange for some of his wisdom. Another caravan
of Camels that came was the time of Jesus after he was
born. He was presumed to be between the ages of new
born and two based on the time the star appeared in the
East announcing the birth of a king. The wise men would
travel from the far east to see the new king. No doubt
through out Jesus life on earth the wise men were not the
only gentiles to come seeking Jesus. Even certain Greeks
that came searching, at the feast in John 12 for Jesus.
God of Israel has never been just a God of the Jews or
Gentiles, but a God to all people. Though some believe
Jews have the only license to Him it untrue. Gentiles for
centuries throughout scripture recognized the blessing of
God on Israel when they served Him and they too would
serve Israel God.

This morning I want to read a few verse out of the book of
Isaiah. This Sunday and Monday is a time of tradition of
examining the story of the wise men according to a
calendar I am using. Something to note about the tradition
the star of the wise men was consider the first sign from
God to the Gentile people. This however is untruthful
statement as well. For God reveals himself to all humanity
through His creation since the beginning of time. However
people through century have felt alienated from God,
because of sin, the very thing that brought man to earth.
Let us begin reading.

Isaiah 60:1-11 KJV
(1)  Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the
LORD is risen upon thee.
(2)  For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and
gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon
thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
(3)  And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to
the brightness of thy rising.
(4)  Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather
themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall
come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy
side.
(5)  Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart
shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the
sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the
Gentiles shall come unto thee.
(6)  The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the
dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba
shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they
shall shew forth the praises of the LORD.
(7)  All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto
thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they
shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will
glorify the house of my glory.
(8)  Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to
their windows?
(9)  Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of
Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and
their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God,
and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified
thee.
(10)  And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and
their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote
thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.
(11)  Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they
shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto
thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be
brought.

Israel been a nation since 1948 recognized by the world
as a nation. God would say the nation of Israel has always
been, it not a place but a people. Though they do seem to
have a centralized location of Israel. Much like we say
Africa is a black nation, though there are whites there as
well. The point is this a nation is not just a land but the
people who have a central belief. People can live and
move almost anywhere and be considered what they are.
However if you love the mountains and live by the sea
then you long for something that is not current in your life.
God’s people long for home, which is heaven, but that
longing is not change their current state of life. The do not
desire death to the point to die to get there. Death being a
natural act from the passing in one’s sleep, dropping dead,
or unforeseen accident. Not by murderous scoundrels.
Most people would prefer to live out there days in
happiness, but life is not a bowl full of cherries all the time.

Israel nation has always been a light keeper for God,
though at times as a nation they have fallen from God. At
the time of Christ the camels came, just like at the time of
Solomon and many other kings. Yet with Israel not being a
nation for so long in history when it was reestablished,
people from all over came to Israel to see. A hope a
gleam in one’s eye. Yet it not the land or the kingdom but
what it represents to God’s people. A place of open doors
to the world. Calling all that might believe. Watching and
waiting for the a place to be reestablished for God’s
people. In 1948 in happened, but it was long hoped for.
Yet Israel becomes a stumbling block to those that look to
the place and not to God. Israel doors are always open to
the world to the merchants, no. At night the city gates
would be locked. When Christ came He was the hope of
glory the key to the gate of Israel. Key of forgiveness and
repentance. That anyone seeing might believe. After all
Jesus is God’s Word that became flesh. Yet it is symbolic
in many ways that all that look to Jesus will have eternal
life. Both metaphorical and literally. For Jesus is Lord. No
time as Israel gates been open around the clock accept
maybe today. And yet it is not the promised New
Jerusalem. For Jerusalem has not descendent from
heaven. If it had the nation of Israel and the Gentiles that
come back with Christ would descend from the air. A
nation of people. A habitation for our God. For the Holy
Spirit indwells in each believer. Upon the day of Christ
return, He will be bring God’s people back with Him. And
they will go through out the land teaching and preaching to
the heathens. God will dwell through out eternity being a
light to all those around. City doors will never be shut. And
light will come out of that city. Truth of God will be known
to all people. And all nation will come to God by His Word.
Let us read:

R
evelation 21:9-27 KJV
(9)  And there came unto me one of the seven angels
which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues,
and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee
the bride, the Lamb's wife.
(10)  And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and
high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy
Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
(11)  Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a
stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as
crystal;
(12)  And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates,
and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon,
which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of
Israel:
(13)  On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on
the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
(14)  And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and
in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
(15)  And he that talked with me had a golden reed to
measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall
thereof.
(16)  And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as
large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the
reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth
and the height of it are equal.
(17)  And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and
forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man,
that is, of the angel.
(18)  And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and
the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
(19)  And the foundations of the wall of the city were
garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first
foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a
chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
(20)  The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh,
chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a
chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an
amethyst.
(21)  And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every
several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city
was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
(22)  And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God
Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
(23)  And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the
moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and
the Lamb is the light thereof.
(24)  And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in
the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory
and honour into it.
(25)  And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for
there shall be no night there.
(26)  And they shall bring the glory and honour of the
nations into it.
(27)  And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that
defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or
maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book
of life.

Revelations is a book that is complex to the reader. It is
the testimony of Jesus according to Revelation 1. This
chapter of Revelations 21 explains that New Jerusalem will
descend from heaven and that New Jerusalem is God.
That has not happened yet. We are still waiting for the
return of Christ. When Christ the new city will be a
continual city without sin or evil in it. And we will teach our
children the truth of the Word of God. We has humans can
not make a New Jerusalem. That is what we are trying to
do in one since. Yet even as we do, we need to remember
it is only symbolic of what is to come by God almighty. A
temple not made by God’s hands is only a temple of
destruction. Remember God and Christ is the light of the
world.

Dear Heavenly Father as we wait on Christ return, let us
come now to you not waiting or holding back in unbelief.
Let us come to the throne for your saving grace through
Christ Jesus. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Christ is no respecter of person, but loves all people no
matter of sex, religion, or creed. He desires you to come
to Him.
