Ephesians 6:10-18 KJV
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Do you have the full metal jacket of God on. If one is going to serve God and live for God, one needs the armour of God on. One can not serve God without the armour of God, except in the way the devil does, by being the tempter which has no protection. To serve God the uniform must be put on. One can not withstand the enemies darts without the shield of faith. The minute we have faith, the minute we put on the shield of protection against the enemies darts. The devil believes and trembles but he has no faith in God, he puts on his own body suite thinking he can defend himself to God. Yet Christ is our defender. He defends us when He receive him as Lord and Savior. We put on his shoes of peace. These shoes are protection of the Gospel. The protection of the Gospel is to know who Christ is and why He died for you and me. It is the gospel of peace and hope. It is the gospel of love. It is the gospel of sacrificing, or giving up of oneself to help another in times of need. We can not walk the road of faith without the Gospel shining in our life. We can not walk in faith with out God’s gospel of peace.
The shoes allows us to stand and hold the breatplate of righteousness and have our waist guarded by truth. Without righteousness of God and his truth we become like the devil full of lies and conflict that not of God. The helmet of salvation is to protect the head. The head if hit by the enemy without salvation will substant injury that cause confusion, frustration and bewilderment. The helmet of salvation has the knowledge and wisdom of Christ as protection. Without the knowledge of God and who He is, then the protection can not be found in one’s mind, beyond the general hope of mankind that all seem to possess to some degree. One needs to receive Christ as Lord to have the helmet of salvation. One needs to grow in Christ to gain truth of who He is and his love. Growth comes by the study of His word, through prayer life and through experiencing the grace of God in one’s own life. Now any of these elements of growth can be separated, but they work best when applied together, it like a check and balance system that reassures the believer.
The great thing about faith and war against the things not of God, eventually you come to place where the temptations of this world matter very little to one’s soul, mind or body. God will bring you to a place of still waters, despite the enemy still carrying weapons of war. He will prepare a table before you in the presents of your enemies. We are in the world and the war of the devil continues on to destroy the heart of man. Yet man can over come by the weaponry of God.
Dear Heavenly Father thank you for your shield of faith that destroys the enemy and all the protection that comes from knowing Christ as Lord and Savior. Bring us the peace and hope you can only give through truth and righteousness of faith. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

1 Peter 5:6-10 KJV
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
