Communication With God

Genesis 2:8-25 KJV
8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.
11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;
12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.
13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. note
14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates. note
15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. note
16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: note
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. note
18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. note
19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. note
20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. note
21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. note
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. note note
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Relationship with God and man began when God created man. Communication with his creation of man continued even into days world. God created man and gave him a home in Eden. He placed him in a garden. In this garden were all kinds of trees with food on it. Only one tree was man not to eat from. Now as you know trees grow both nuts and fruits. Yet only one tree was forbidden. During this whole time, God went about providing for Adam. People buy pets, take them home, place them in a pen, a cage, the living room floor, and any type of structure that will give the animal protection from the elements in a storm. Man also gives their pet food to eat and drink. There was river, it does not say Adam drank from this river but I suspect he did. It is almost as if Adam was God’s pet. After all God is superior to man, as we are to our pets. God however made man, but man can not create an animal. I sure some newspaper will have article soon out that says they twisted the dna and produce some kind of strange creature. I have been watching to much Durassic Park. No, but it occured to me while I was typing in modern terminology how we relate to this relationship with God. Even when God forced Adam and Eve out of the garden he provided for them. They just couldn’t have the palace anymore.

There is a point to this little picture I been creating from Genesis 2. God always communicated with man.It like a type of dialogue. Today in modern times we think of communication in the since of prayer and asking God for intercession for someone or for ourselves. Yet the relationship of man was not so in the beginning. God seen the need and simply provided. God, had Adam go through the animal kingdom to see not only what he would call each creature, but also provide a help mate for him. No creature was compatible. The Bride of Christ is the church. It takes the whole body to be the bride to Christ. Yet to think people are not even equal, and yet believers are given a new body when they die. Given a body that is eternal undestructible. People are more then a pet to God but the analogy fits for Adam was not immortal in the garden. The believer will put on immortality with death. making us a help mate to Christ. Christ still being over the church. There is something more to grasp here, is the communication God has with the believer and with his creation. God knows the needs before we ask. God walks and talks with man in the garden of Eden. God communicates with his creation called man. God communicates by just coming and talking to man. Man in his formality bows his head to talk to God in prayer and supplication for the needs of who he or she is praying for. Communication with God can be like walking in the garden. Yet one needs Jesus to do so. It is by the Holy Spirit when Christ Spirit enters our hearts that communication with God the Father begins. Our intercessor intercedes to God the Father for us. He speaks to the soul of man. The word of God both the Bible and oral speaking of God to our Spirit is something a believer knows far to well. Yet we speak to God in our imperfection as man, because of Christ salvation through the cross. Before Christ, man spoke to God and God to man after sin of Adam and Eve, but always behind a veil. The veil is gone between believer and God, because of Christ sacrifice. Christ blood is now our veil between God and ourselves. It is a covering for our sin. When the believer spritually speaking reach out to the throne of God with petition of needs, wants and desires for both themselves and others, the Holy Spirit intercedes. God desires to hear from us and to speak to us, but we got to want to know God as much as He already desires to know us and already working in our life for that relationship to be restored through belief in him.

God’s provision is not always as we desire, but it is what we need to teach us to trust and obey Him. God desires to talk to you by His Spirit, through His word, by his still small voice and even sometimes voice of a trumpet. God desires for you to listen and hear him. Are you willing to hear him today and follow His desire for you to believe. Think on it. if God cared so much for his creation that he placed only one tree in the garden to teach first obediene to Him. How much more will he teach his earthly children today. How much will he provide for his children today. Trust in Him today, believe in God’s eternal salvation plan through Christ Jesus. Pray with intercession and supplication for others and yourself. By praying and communicating with God, one will develop the right relationship with God through faith, obedience and trusting. Listening and obeying God destroys the lies of the devil.

Dear Heavenly Father help your children to pray and listen to what you have to say. Continue to speak to children today to enable us to fight the enemy. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

The Sword Of The Spirit and The Helmet Of Hope

Exodus 4:1-17 KJV
1 And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee.
2 And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.
3 And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.
4 And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:
5 That they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee.
6 And the LORD said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow.
7 And he said, Put thine hand into thy bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.
8 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.
9 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land. note
10 And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. note note
11 And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?
12 Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.
13 And he said, O my Lord, send, I pray thee, by the hand of him whom thou wilt send. note
14 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.
15 And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do.
16 And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.
17 And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs.
18 And Moses went and returned to Jethro his father in law, and said unto him, Let me go, I pray thee, and return unto my brethren which are in Egypt, and see whether they be yet alive. And Jethro said to Moses, Go in peace.

The sword of The Spirit is the word of God going forth in prophesy talking to individual to do the will of him that speaks to the soul, heart and ears of man. Many passages can be used to express the Spirit instructing Man to go, do and say as commanded, it takes the helmet of salvation or helmet of salvation the hope that the hearer is not insane, or disturbed so to speak. Moses was spoken by the angel of the Lord through a fiery bush. Read the chapter before if you have doubts on this. Yes in the modern world Bible stories sound insane as they begin, even nothing more then a fairy tale, until God moves you to action in obedience to His Word. Moses did not believe Pharoah or anyone would believe him. How so it is with any knowledge of wrath of God to come do people in generally ignore that have little faith or belief in a real God. Noah preached hundred years before the flood before going into the ark and God sealing the door saying no one else could enter. Moses no doubt had heard the Hebrews story at the knee of his mother as well as his own protection story from birth. This story of protection must come with faith. To believe God must come with conviction. Moses was convicted that God’s word was true, after all God turn a rod into a snake and then had him place his hand in his cloak and when he withdrew he had leprous. What is faith but the ability not to feel stupid when God tells you to do something. It takes faith to drop the rod and it takes faith to put the hand in the cloak to see the disease upon the hand. Moses, the adopted son of the princess of Egypt, knew the parlor tricks of Egypt. The first thing God commanded Moses to do by throwing the rod on the ground was consider a cheap trick by the wisemen, magicians, and sorcers of Egypt. Yet the hand turning to leprous was not a trick that could be reproduced by Egypts magicians and Moses no doubt understood this.

Moses childhood history would of left him understanding many things about the world around him. He would of meet perhaps people of different countries as well as seen many forms of entertainment in the palace. He would of had more understanding then perhaps someone outside the palace when it came to government, yet he believed in the Hebrew God enough that when God spoke and told him to remove his shoes he was on holy ground, he knew to do so, showing respect to God. Yet when it came to being a spokesman for God he was not ready in his mind. Yet Moses’ faith was much like Pharoah would be when it came to the plagues. It would be slow in coming, yet for pharoah his faith would not remain. Moses faith would carry him to his death. It took only one plague of leoprosy to convince Moses. Yet it take seven plagues to convince Pharoah to free the people.

God’s power and word is not a cheap magician trick. It comes with power and ability the world seldom grasp until it witnesses it and then it sometimes it is still denied. The point Moses gained faith but not enough to be willing to speak God’s word. Perhaps he was a little afraid still of the powers of the enemy, not knowing yet God’s power was stronger. God would use Moses still, by allowing him to perform the miracles before Pharoah by his hand. Yet he send his brother to talk for him. Moses would be a witness and demonstrator of the power of God’s word. The sword of Spirit would go forth in the words of the plagues to come just like when God demonstrated the miracles before Moses. Moses had enough faith to leave his home with his father in law. He had enough faith to go and begin His journey to the promise land. He had the helmet of hope that God power was mighty and would be demonstrated before Pharaoh and he would be protected. The faith to be obedient is about hope of salvation or the helmet. It is the mind and brain saying I believe enough to go, but still perhaps not to sure about this whole thing. Hope that one won’t be a fool before the pharoah is about faith.in a God of power.

One must trust God that anyone that believes has the right to become children of God, and children of the word of God. God gives the helmet of salvation the hope, as one sees the changes in one’s own life upon belief and obedience to God’s word. one prays in faith asking God all things, and God grants according to His will. He speaks to the person heart and the conviction of doing has results when action occurs. Faith is slow at times, but God is able to build a believer up by the answer prayers and miracles in one’s own life. Eternal salvation comes from the hope from through belief in salvation through Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for our sins and rose again the third day. God’s plan of eternal salvation. During our life time God will build and strengthen our faith in him, but we must believe in Christ first to have faith strengthen in our journey with God.

Dear Heavenly Father help us to do as your word says, believing in faith that you will honor the promise of salvation through Christ Jesus my Lord. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Shield Of Faith

by Christina Farris
5/16/2019

Genesis 15:1-6 KJV
1 After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.
2 And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?
3 And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.
4 And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.
5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
6 And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

Righteousness of the world of being a good person often has it good reward and can be a protector to a person in times of trouble. Yet Righteous in the worldly since has little protection against the thief, the robber, or the enemy of violence. Yes it true you might be able to talk someone down. It true you might be able to defend yourself physically and be justified for protecting yourself. Yet all in all the enemy of stronger ability will win. Only in scripture does one see God is victory in situations there was no hope in battle. If I talk about faith as being a shield how is it a shield. Lord is able to destroy a man without faith. Lord is allowed evil to come upon those who fear Him not. He allows evil sometimes to prove a point to those without faith. Abraham believed God and it was a shield of faith because he was consider righteousness before the Lord.

Moses went before Pharoah though afraid God provided him with his brother to speak for him. God would send evil plagues upon pharoah and egypt during this time. Yet it took faith that pharoah would harm not Moses during this spiritual battle of letting Israel go to their homeland. Esther went before King for her people who prayed for her protection. Hardest things to grasp is obedience produces faith. David a boy took 5 stones only needed one to kill the giant. He knew by his own power he had the ability for he killed lions and bears. Yet David would need faith in battle and to escape Saul. Doing something you know you are able to do produces little faith in God, it is the faith that comes when the ability is no longer yours. Abraham a man of faith believed God he was going to have a child of his own. Now Abraham was old and his wife was also to old to think of being able to have children. Now what is faith to be able to have children when you your wife is past child bearing years take faith. Science has proven the ability to give women past child bearing years, but in truth science and technology was not that advance for Abraham and his wife.

Faith destroys the enemy darts. It causes them not to be able to destroy faith. Abraham and his wife would go through a trial of their faith. In fact for many years more Abraham and his wife Sarah would have to wait on having a child. Sarah got so frustrated with Abraham’s faith, she gave her maid to Abraham to have his child. Yet she did concieve but this was not the heir God spoke of. The promise was repeated to Abraham, and Sarah finally concieved. She would have a son his name would be Isaac. He would have twelve sons which would produce more and more children. Abraham only seen the vision from a far off. He would not see the vision fullfilled in his day and time. Faith will be tested, but if faith is unwaving then faith will stand against the enemy. Abraham might of failed in a since, but God didn’t leave in the mud but lifted him up to believe once more by sending strangers to prophesy to him.

Trusting God for what you can not see and can not know by your own power takes faith. If God promises you the desire of your heart, you can believe He will give it to you in time. With faith one must be willing to wait. Believing without being able to see the hope. Faith in Christ is believing God without seeing final hope right now but living life God has given you to live. To obey with the hope of salvation until and through death door. It called hope and it comes with doubt at times, and even fear. Yet what happens with faith is God builds our faith when we have a relationship with Him. He gives signs and hope through out our life time, that not humanly possible to perform by our own power or might at the time the hope and dreams are given. As doors open in our life to see the richness of his blessing, we know his reality and his promise that we believed with faith about salvation will too come to pass. The enemy has no power then over the believer.

Dear Heavenly Father, give us that hope to believe uncondition the hope of eternity through Christ Jesus. Help us to accept on faith your power to build our faith in you. In Jesus precious anme, Amen.

The Gospel Of Peace

by Christina Farris
5/15/2019

Isaiah 52:1-15 KJV
1 Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.
2 Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.
3 For thus saith the LORD, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money.
4 For thus saith the Lord GOD, My people went down aforetime into Egypt to sojourn there; and the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.
5 Now therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD, that my people is taken away for nought? they that rule over them make them to howl, saith the LORD; and my name continually every day is blasphemed.
6 Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I.
7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!
8 Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the LORD shall bring again Zion.
9 Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the LORD hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem.
10 The LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.
11 Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD.
12 For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the LORD will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rereward.
13 Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.
14 As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:
15 So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.

One of first things to know is Israel bondage was done without money, meaning a type of kidnapping done in war times. Has the enemy of Islam was released from prison many cried that knew scripture, because in truth what was happening was in opposition of the Gospel both Old And New was being released. The hard part of oppositions to any other faith is the same. A spiritual Jedi was taking place with Islam being released, yet, at the same time, it had nothing to do with religion. Unites States has seen it self from both Christian and Jewish faith for years and though it no longer a country of really any particular faith today, it still stirred up convictions of faith. Israel time of release from captiviity would come with the message of good news. If one can only imagine the idea of freedom in regards to a people, based only religion and not on decision of human decency, then that what took place during the release of Iraquaies in America several years ago. But it you look at America as a nation of freedom of religion and you release a people base on end of war and human decency, of returning a people, then that is being American. It had no religious reason for it. However these Islamic nations view things from both religious and political and not one sided. In America because of the Jewish, Christian, and Islamic faith it looks like Jihad of sorts. The problem of holy war of any faith, is people tend to look at religion in prophetic terms.

In America because of the Jewish, Christian, and Islamic faith it looks like Jihad of sorts. The problem of holy war of any faith, is people tend to look at religion in prophetic terms.

Why talk about another religion if one is a Christian and not Jewish or Islamic in faith in regards to beliefs. If one is Judeo-Christian, one looks at both Old and New Testament theology. Yet if you throw a third thing of religious freedom into the mix of religious beliefs, the idea is to set all faiths free to believe as they would like to believe and agree to peaceful laws. It is a hard sell to a fundamentalist of faith. Why because of holy war idea. Greeks on Mars hill, in Athens had a place of many altars. Paul stood on Mars Hill and told them of the only Gospel they needed to believe and that was Jesus. I stand in fundmental convictions of the only gospel needed is Jesus, and yet I embrace Judeo-christian faith, and at the same time I look at the world from historical emphasis of the release of people not living in the freedom of our nation but in a culture of one faith of tyrant control, and say welcome to freedom because release meant not religion, but meant going back to a nation embracing freedoms of democracy that it never knew before, beyond hearing about it or seeing it through visitation to another land.

Does democracy mean freedom of faith only to the greeks and romans theology of democracy. To God truth reigns in his word of truth, and not the false prophesy of the lies. God created the world and gave the people upon it freedom because of sin. He marked Cain despite his unbelief in his word. He allowed Cain to roam despite his unbelief and even marked him. Marked so no one would harm him. That another story and message, but something to think on. Did Cain repent when he killed Abel. probably so. Now when one thinks on the fact other religions exist and many wars have been fought over religion and you place people in a society of Roman and Greek rule, the idea of peace and safety come about. The gospel of peace comes to rise between people of different backgrounds. Israel itself during the reign of the kings allowed differently beliefs at the miminum their own household. Now the fundmentalist say my household will serve the Lord.

The Gospel of peace is who do you serve and where do you serve this God. Do you allow your God to defend himself, or do you defend him with your sword and fist? Fundamentalist of holy war say destroy and fundamentalist of peace says I serve my God in my home and community in the way I live and worship. Yet a deep convert knows if holy war ever breaks out they know where they stand with the people of their faith or at God’s leading, because God brings conviction to the heathens. What happened in Iraq, nations flooded in to help rebuild a nation they destroyed. What happened to Israel when returned to the promise land, nation surrounded them to aid them with the return. Christians no one on the day of Christ return will be aiding you but God, because the enemy is destroyed by His hand and not yours. You be joining Christ in the Holy City of Jerusalem where He has prepared a place for you.

Why teach scripture from a worldly view if one own convictions are such an extreme. Is it being a chicken or a realist, in regards to how other culture view our religiousity. Do they get tired of hearing about being homesick that they return people they take to their homeland. Prehaps. But it Government’s way of dealing with the arguments and cultural problems that exist when segregation does not work. For religious man it a halelujah march. The religious people are able to return to their culture and worship their God their way without interference, beyond the idea of war.

Now Christ coming was about peace, but because people wanted to crown him king, and followed in great crowds to see him, the religious leaders thought one man should die for their nation to keep peace. Yet with Christ’s death and resurrection it brought about a holy war in regards to a message of peace being spread in the same manner as Christ by the disciples. Yes holy war of violence would eventually happened to defend a faith. Yet Christians are without homeland in the since of Israel home being Jerusalem, and Islam being Mecca. Yet Christians embrace that the Holy land of Jerusalem is a symbol of what will come from the sky one day, a new Jerusalem. That means Christians you settle where God sends you and not where you always want to go. Almost military in one since. Don’t be like Jonah who was swallowed by whale, be like Philip who was whisked away by the Holy Spirit. Dont’ be like Israel always complaining, or Moses wondering why God stuck him with obstinate people. Be a peculair people for the Lord with the message of peace. The mesage of Christ love for one another.

Dear Heavenly Father our roots are strong, but your love is greater of how we should live and walk in peace of the Gosple of Christ no matter where we go. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Lord Our Righteousness

by Christina Farris
5/14/2019

Deutronomy 6:21-25 KJV]
21 Then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh’s bondmen in Egypt; and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand:
22 And the LORD shewed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes:
23 And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers.
24 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.
25 And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.

What does it mean In Ephesians to put on the breastplate of righteousness? Yesterday we worked on the full armour of God. It is time to brake each part down how it relates to our protection. To put on the breastplate of righteousness, is to put on obedience to God. Old Testament, righteous came only by works, whether with the law or without law. Abraham was righteous before God, because of his works. He lived before the law. Zachariah and Elizabeth in Luke 1 was God’s choice to be parents of the man that would be the forerunner of Christ. He chose them because of their righteousness. They were obedient to his laws and ways. We find Deutronomy the reason of God restoring his people to the promise land would be because of their obedience to God. They had left Egypt to go the promise land but it take many years for them to return, because of their unbelief, but not their disobedience to a strict law. Whether belief itself never effect righteousness in regards to obedience of the law. For man could sin with or without the law. Can man obey the law of God without the law of faith. The fact is no. The law of faith stands on belief. Yet we can grasp that living by the law of obedience to a written code of conduct will lead to one’s protection, it does not lead to one’s eternal salvation.

God began to teach man about righteousness and the righteousness He would send through his Son Jesus. In Jeremiah it talks of Christ the Branch of Righteousness to come. Jesus would be a judge as will as our righteousness. People came from all over to ask questions and to hear his judgment as will as learn about obedience to God. Yet it was through Christ death that righteousness would come. No one could obey the full law. Because of disobedience the payment for sin was needed. For disobedience by Adam and Eve brought death, life would come through Christ Jesus our Lord. Jesus would come to take away the sin of many. To all that would believe were given the right to become children of God, but we must remember we must put on the breast plate of righteousness. Belief is not enough, for the devil believes and trembles. We must put on righteousness through faith, that Christ was enough for our salvation, because our works by itself is never enough. Even unbelievers have works and live by the law. We need Christ redemption, payment for sin to live eternity with God our Father. We can not obey God without belief, but we can not obey God by living in sin either.

Dear Heavenly Father, help us to put on the breast plate of righteousness, of obedience to you. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Full Metal Jacket Of God

by Christina Farris
5/13/2019

Ephesians 6:10-18 KJV
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Do you have the full metal jacket of God on. If one is going to serve God and live for God, one needs the armour of God on. One can not serve God without the armour of God, except in the way the devil does, by being the tempter which has no protection. To serve God the uniform must be put on. One can not withstand the enemies darts without the shield of faith. The minute we have faith, the minute we put on the shield of protection against the enemies darts. The devil believes and trembles but he has no faith in God, he puts on his own body suite thinking he can defend himself to God. Yet Christ is our defender. He defends us when He receive him as Lord and Savior. We put on his shoes of peace. These shoes are protection of the Gospel. The protection of the Gospel is to know who Christ is and why He died for you and me. It is the gospel of peace and hope. It is the gospel of love. It is the gospel of sacrificing, or giving up of oneself to help another in times of need. We can not walk the road of faith without the Gospel shining in our life. We can not walk in faith with out God’s gospel of peace.

The shoes allows us to stand and hold the breatplate of righteousness and have our waist guarded by truth. Without righteousness of God and his truth we become like the devil full of lies and conflict that not of God. The helmet of salvation is to protect the head. The head if hit by the enemy without salvation will substant injury that cause confusion, frustration and bewilderment. The helmet of salvation has the knowledge and wisdom of Christ as protection. Without the knowledge of God and who He is, then the protection can not be found in one’s mind, beyond the general hope of mankind that all seem to possess to some degree. One needs to receive Christ as Lord to have the helmet of salvation. One needs to grow in Christ to gain truth of who He is and his love. Growth comes by the study of His word, through prayer life and through experiencing the grace of God in one’s own life. Now any of these elements of growth can be separated, but they work best when applied together, it like a check and balance system that reassures the believer.

The great thing about faith and war against the things not of God, eventually you come to place where the temptations of this world matter very little to one’s soul, mind or body. God will bring you to a place of still waters, despite the enemy still carrying weapons of war. He will prepare a table before you in the presents of your enemies. We are in the world and the war of the devil continues on to destroy the heart of man. Yet man can over come by the weaponry of God.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for your shield of faith that destroys the enemy and all the protection that comes from knowing Christ as Lord and Savior. Bring us the peace and hope you can only give through truth and righteousness of faith. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

To Stay In The Love Of God

by Christina Farris

Jude 1:17-25 KJV
17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

One place we can all rest is in the love of God. God grace is for each of us. Salvation is ours if we only receive Christ as Lord and Savior. Yet after salvation we need to remain in Christ. I think of the huge revivals when many people are saved, but how many leave not knowing their relationship with Christ is just beginning. As a believer we have a responsibility ourselves to reamin in Christ. Christ is able to keep us from falling. Yet just like in ice rink, learning to skate, one needs a rail or even a coaches hand to steady them and keep them from falling on the ice. How do we remain in Christ? One learns to follow Christ by reading the Bible and study, but also listening to the Holy Spirit. To follow Christ is to learn to turn away from sin and walk in the things of God. Not following the desires of the heart into sin, but the desires of the heart that care about others as well as one’s own self. To care enough to tell someone else of the hope of Christ. That salvation is there’s also. By doing just simple sharing we are helping those still standing in the flames of hell, ready for those flames to destory and devour them. One can not force their beliefs on another, only share what God has done for them in hopes they to will understand the hope in Christ.

Hard to walk away from someone in pain when you know the power of God healed you. The question is why not them too. Is it a lack of faith of the one praying or the one receiving prayer, Is it because of some secret sin, or known sin in a person life that God not choosing to heal. Truth no one fully knows the answer til healing comes. But the healing from sin is simple, confession at the throne of God. Coming to place of understanding the need to pray and ask for forgiveness, but not just to repent, but to walk in God’s grace doing the will God. Are we concious of the will of God in our life? The will God for him to use us as we yield to Him. Moses did not do one miracle without the power of God in His life. Yet he even failed God at times. We are not all called to be prophets like Moses, nor are we all called to be ruler in pharoah court like Joseph, who by God given ability interpret a dream for Pharoah. It not always about solving problems for others, but learning to be a vessel for God to pour out his love. Philip caught up with chariot to testify who Christ was in the book of Isaiah. Apparently Philip like running. Yet he soon found himself else where sharing the Gospel. It not by our power, that we share Christ, it is by the Holy Spirit teaching us how to share and when. It remain in Christ even when the road seems a little rocky or troublesome. No one does it right. We have to learn to remain in Christ and not go chasing in all directions. One would think as God uses you for his glory it be enough to keep one from falling, but the human nature is not always for Christ. It something that has to be learned as well as practiced. Yet Christ is able to keep our feet from slipping. Christ can put up road blocks. God is wise, and he waiting for us to desire Him and His ways. He patient in teaching us His ways.

Dear Heavenly Father enable us to walk for you, by following Christ and your Spirit. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Where Word Wisdom Begin In Scripture

by Christina Farris
5/9/2019

Genesis 3:4-7 KJV
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

In verse 6 of today’s passage we find the word wise. Now I do not know about you but if Eve could even think a tree could make one wise that was her first mistake. It shows her lack of wisdom of knowledge of what made people wise. Eve perhaps not to old at this point, but old enough perhaps to have understanding that wisdom was of value. Yet her mistake is what makes one wise. There many things humans think will enhance their wisdom. Wisdom coming from the latest medicine to enhance memory, or to the latest guru book. Man consider wisdom coming from age as well as education. Yet none of these things makes one wise. To be enlighten is not always wisdom. Do we need to see horror of evil to know, it has no place in culture of good society. Do we need to sin to know to disobey God has consequences, apparently yes. Yet to look at something has being a substance of wisdom, we must ask do we need the intelligents of a snake? Do we need the intelligent of donkey? Baalam in scripture needed the intelligent of a donkey to keep from going forward. Look up Balaam if you don’t know the story in scripture. Eve need the snake to make her think that by disobedience she would have wisdom.

How many children have thought they knew best and choose to disobey parents only to loose their life by an accident. Whether pulled down stream by swift current, burnt from a fire, or simply walking out in the middle of road without looking, people have been killed. As a child I can remember swimming in tide water. Now my dad would not put me in harms way on purpose, but the current is swift. I was a good swimmer, but that day I learned about the swiftness of water in semi safe environment. My dad was a good swimmer, he could of reach me in no time, but he allowed me to swim against the current of the river, that only seem to take me a little futher out. Finally I figured out to swim toward shallow water and not fight the current going down stream. Then I walked back up the river coastline to where we had been fishing. God is not going to allow us into a swift current of sin without protection or without ability to overcome. However we need to keep our eyes on Jesus. Looking away only drowns us. God allows us to fall only to know we will learn. God provides salvation, knowing we need it. He knew we needed it before the sin. In fact after the sin, God punished Eve and Adam, but not without sending them with fur coats for protection against the elements of this world. Adam and Eve’s fig leaves were not enough of a covering or protection against the elements.

God desires us to obey him and to obey him is wise. Yet the protection of wisdom is to understand first where it comes from. It comes from God and not Devil’s lies or mankind. Eve gave that fruit to Adam, and both eyes became open to their sin. The wisdom of now understanding they need clothes. No one told them they need outfit before. Think of all the cute pics of animals in their latest attire. Did those animals need clothes before their owner dressed them up. Of course not. Yet some who keep their pets indoors feel the need to dress them up especially when it is cold outside, with the minimum of a sweater. God’s correction did not stop God from loving his children and providing gifts of comfort. The wisdom from God is His love does not end. The wisdom of obedience means their no consequences for sin. So next time your tempted remember is that really wise, for one day you have to face your maker, whether before or after this life.

Dear Heavenly Father help us to be wise in obedience to your instruction for our life. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

2 Corinthians 11:3-4 KJV
3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

Wisdom

by Christina Farris
5/8/2019

Proverbs 4:1-27 KJV
1 Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.
2 For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.
3 For I was my father’s son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.
4 He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.
5 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.
7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.
9 She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.
10 Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.
11 I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths.
12 When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.
13 Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.
14 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men.
15 Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.
16 For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.
17 For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.
18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.
20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
25 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

Men often look at cars as being women, in regards of giving them a name, or expression of what they feel in regards to the latest hot rod. It an way of expressing admiration of a vehicle. Words in scripture are like cars are to men. They often have a femine, pronoun, adjective or adverb to describe them like the word wisdom and understanding. Wisdom is refered to as a woman. Expressed in value. Yet wisdom itself is not a woman or even a person but a characterist of value. Wisdom is often learned by parents at the begining of life, but it soon goes beyond childhood leaders, into the vast area of books, media and other sources available, even to the listen of tales heard of solution to problems and ideas. Great problem solving takes wisdom. It is the problem solving of finding solutions that work for all people. Kings needed wisdom in power to be able to rule in peace and at war times. King Solomon wrote proverbs or some of it anyway. He was consider the wisest king of Israel. The one thing he asked of God was wisdom to rule the people. Solomon learned early the value of wisdom perhaps at the knee of his father King David and his mother. Yet he learned was diplomacy during war and peace.

Wisdom is a godly pathway, in regards to be straight, and being able to run freely the path before you without stumbling. Wisdom last was talked as light and not stumbling because the way was clear, but here goes a step furture and saying must keep the ways of wisdom. Stay away from evil men, or situations. Keeping wisdom is good for the overall health, and well being. Wisdom in this regard is God, but God is not a woman, yet the attributes are being compared. Well we have to think for a moment, not all of Solomon wives were daughters of Israel in regards to faith. Some worshipped other gods. Even worship wisdom as a being a woman/goddess. Who took from who. If God is wisdom, then the idea of wisdom must come from God. We know following idols have no value. Following a rainbow or a shooting star will only fizzle out in time, because you can not move as quick as these objects in the sky.

Following wisdom history in scripture gives an idea of how culture interfers with religion and ideas. How practices are often pagan in regards to beliefs of where something may come from. How one group could take from another. Treasure of true faith in wisdom itself can do nothing, but the one that created wisdom holds the key to eternal life. Wisdom by itself lacks understanding. Wisdom with attributes of a loving heavenly Father, is an straight path for the soul and well being in life. True wisdom does not seek to destroy. This is type of wisdom Solomon spoke about. It not about death, but hope of a better tomorrow.

Think for a moment time and culture of the New Testament of how disciples spoke to the people of romans and the greeks. Proverbs teaching on wisdom clear, but it would of been a vast difference to ways of Romans and Greeks. Romans and Greeks sought wisdom and knowledge. Philosphy was big. In fact philophy is nothing new. Solomon had been granted a gift from God, but Solomon was not wise in all his ways. The point is the fact that when we speak of God being wisdom, there many culture that have taken from God and declared they know wisdom, but do not. Followly godly wisdom, yes and no, first follow the author of godly wisdom, so you might know wisdom. The author is God.

Dear Heavenly Father helps us learn to walk in your footsteps so we can understand wisdom. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
