1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. If we talk on worshipping God, to be righteous is to believe, then how to remain righteous, we walk in the counsel of the godly and stand with the forgiven, and sit with joyful. Today is 911 and it not my place to judge those that died or those that survived, but to speak truth that our nation was underattack, and even some believed it was unattack by our own nation in failure to unearth the plot of destruction. How much knowledge was known is still unclear, but the truth of the matter, is if our blindness to terror in our own land or a plot in own country was unthought of, I would say no, because warnings came with school shootings, and attacks on the street, long before 911. Our nation freedom being under seige by attacks of evil doers and not righteous people that fear not our laws, or our country.
Who is a countrymen, but men and women who strive to keep the freedom by submission to the law. Yet when the countrymen no longer fear the law but allow the law to be broken even to the constitution we have to ask ourselves is freedom still in charge. The answer quite frankly is no. Yet another law is rising that is striving to be above the law but it will not win. If righteousness came by law and not belief there be many people not righteous today, even to simple breakage of a law that seems trivial to some. Righteous came by faith not the law, but righteousness that acted on the law to be faith. The devil is not righteous because he acts on the law of disobedience, but he righteous in regards to believing the reality that there is a God. Yet his righteousness does not remain because of disobedience. Does faith have a need for obedience, yes but not requirement? No, it is required to strive to obey God.
If we say we are followers of God then why are we striving in sin, without knowledge? or we seen another believer do it and so it must be okay to do so. God calls us to meditate on his laws, to meditate day and night. To obey the truth of the law of God despite our own judgment. Day of 911 had many heros who performed by rules of engagement of rescue, as well as disobedience to command of authority to stay out of the way, instead dragging others out of harms way. People for decades seen the ability to rescue and jump head first sometimes being successful and other times becoming the victim. Yet God's rules are never to be broken, man's laws are breakable. God did not tell anyone not to rescue someone, to aid someone, no the story of the good samaritan comes to mind. Those that flee on foot knew they could do nothing for those left behind, they would be in the way. Yet there were those that remained not fleeing going head first into the twin towers to help. The Pentagon as well as Flight 93 all attacked in seconds of the first attacks, yet with knowledge came government action to control airfield. Just because five choose to obey bad leaders and attack us, does not mean we have the right to do evil.
As a believer we are under attack of the enemy, and those around us, in regards to disobedience to the ways of God and Christ Jesus. Some still learning to obey the Spirit. As a believer we are responsible to obey God on our own, we are responsible not to get in the way of sinners in their sin. We are responsible not to join a sinner in sinning. We are responsible for what we do as believers. Eating and talking to sinners is different then partipating in a bank robbery, bullying, killing, breaking a small law, doing drugs and so forth. It is a choice we make to avoid evil situations when ever possible, and it is a choice to meditate on God's word so we know good choices and how to follow God's Spirit. To follow in the ways of Christ.
Ungodliness will not stand in the judgment but be judged for destruction and cast in the eternal like of fire. Those that go against our land will not stand. God will judge those who break the law of his word. God will judge those with and without faith, tha law of faith applying with the law of obedience to his word. We can not as a nation or nations around world stand for the effects of global attacks by disease, bombs and other terror that plague our world. We must stand for integrity, justice and truth. As a believer we must stand for truth, integrity, righteousness and belief in a loving God that knows what best for the people of our nation, and nations around the world.
Dear Heavenly Father, give us the grace to stand in faith knowing you are God and you are faithful to your children teaching them to meditate on your word and your ways, so we understand why obedience is more important then disobedience to your word. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
