1 This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.
2 I told you before, and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now I write to them which heretofore have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, I will not spare:
3 Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you.
4 For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.
5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
6 But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.
7 Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.
8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.
9 For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection.
10 Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction.
11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
12 Greet one another with an holy kiss.
13 All the saints salute you.
14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. Things must be established by more then one witness, and yet many things are based on story or three lies. What speak is it not hard for a story not to add up, but it harder to debunk a story of people that fail to tell the truth if they are able to keep their story straight. A two young woman did not cheat on exam but took the exam later then they was suppose to take it for some reason not known to the professor. He suspected that the two woman were up to no good. I sure they even maybe video taped the girls taking the exam, and both were honest about doing their own work, so no issue there, but the issue arrive of what caused them to be absent from the taking the original exam. One young lady allowed the other to do all the talking, and the other stood by until the professor said and do you back this woman's story. Of course with a nod, because if she spoke she knew she would break down and tell the whole story. That how the first lie ever told by the second women began with a nod and turning around walking away, afraid to tell the truth. Would the professor of understood, perhaps. Did the two girls pass the class they did, but both knew they were accountable for that lie, which had no variance on the grade they got. Both were guilty of one lie that could of cost them the ability to take one exam. The lie stuck for a time, until the young woman finally decided that to live with truth telling was easier then the effects of what could happen to that grade. The grade would not be change but the truth was told to the professor and he smiled and said yep that baptist students for you. Though the professor was understanding about the reason, he also knew it could of cost them a class and a grade for a semester making them having to repeat it all.
Sometimes truth may seem not essential, but it is, to figure out the whole truth of the matter. Sometimes people need to hear hard truth even when it hurts. No one likes hard truth at times, but truth stands over a lie anyday, for a lie will eventually be uncovered. What the young woman learned was if truth was established by two or three witness a lie could establish truth, but truth would always out weigh the lie. When I look at God's word and in more then one place it says truth had to be established by more then one witness, it makes me realize that is true but also lies are established as truth by the same measure. So how is truth of what God says established. Let us go with the statement by God's power we rise again. In Christ weakness we all die. What is Christ weakness but his humanity. The humanity(human flesh that cloaks God's word). It matter not how true the weakness is, it remains true, that the cloak or garment which house's God's word will pass away, unless power of God's word does something, and raises us all up from mortal, to immortality. Christ was raised from death to life, not just by his words spoken but from actually flesh seen for forty days after the resurrection. Then Christ ascends into glory. Five hundred witnesses declare these things.
Was five hundred voice able to establish God's word, actually answer is no. If we look at the cloud of witness that came before Christ could not establish God's word enough that a great fear of breaking God's law would have remain upon the people to obedience, then why would Christ be of effect. Let me go a step further and say those that read scripture and say without faith the land of promise is for every Jew, yet fail to realize that God's promise was for the righteous children of Israel who believed by faith as Abraham did in the promises of God. The law or word established the law of righteousness, but the law by itself establish something other then faith but a comman to obedience, and without faith it stood among non believing Jews that the law of the promise land was theirs, that this was there by treaty of man by the Caananites established at the time of Abraham. So with the law and without faith the law still remained. Testimony establish by the law of Caanites and at that time the Jews were called the Hebrew people. The law having the authority and not the promise of God.
What does it have to do with a lie, the lie of promise, declaring the truth of God's word by man's treaties and man's laws, not declared by what the Spirit spoke to Abraham or to the prophets of God over the years. This establishing a law of unbelief and not a law of faith. Lies are like treaties and laws, they come about by promise, but it recorded on paper making it a fact seeable and not believable. God declares this is God's people then you better watch out it is God's land and not mankind's land, established by God because of faith of one man Abraham. Yet scripture also declares Abraham was alien in a strange land and look for a land of promise.
Our view our hope established by law and treaties, no faith is established before the laws and treaties by belief. The promise of God coming before man acted on the promise of God even if man believes in his heart he established God's word with law and treaty of man. Christ death and resurrection must be one faith and the power that we to by faith will be resurrected can not be establish law of man or a treaty of man, it is establish by pure faith alone, something that can only be believed by God's people. Something that can not come about by the hand of man. It will take an act of God to raise the dead in our land today. Yet we know Christ rose and spent time with his disciples to establish the truth of resurrection, it was not enough to be able to establish the law by man or ever will be. It is a law that God writes on the walls of the heart of the believer. The believer has the hope and promise that God is going to establish his word among the people by the evidence of the gift of the Holy Spirit, and not just by beautiful words of faith of a minister declaring salvation to all, but seeing the power of prayer, and other wonders performed by the power of God and not the power of man. The power of God verses the power of principalities, evil and darkness of our world, to win the battle of faith. Yes there time when the saints do die, for they are but flesh, but the power of God and the word of God will destroy the enemy. Fear not the lies of Satan but believe in the power of God to destroy the enemy.
Dear Heavenly Father, help us to cling to faith in you, knowing your word will stand everytime because you power stood with the resurrection of your only begotten Son whose name is Jesus. Help us to hold to the hope of eternal life that are bodies are only flesh, but by faith we have the hope of glory and hope of a resurrected body for eternity with God's the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In Christ name, I pray, Amen.

13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.
16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb:
20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
