Luke 11:16-26 KJV 16 And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven. 17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth. 18 If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub. 19 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges. 20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you. 21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: 22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils. 23 He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth. 24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. 25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. 26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Jesus cast out many demons while on the earth. He begins to talk about the problem of man that is possessed. Can you fix a leak without returning once more to the same place the leak was. The only way to fix a pipe is cut away where the leak is and replace it with a new pipe. If you choose to put a clamp on it, it might fix the problem for a day maybe even several years but when it breaks again it be worse then the first leak. When a man controls his own body he is at peace with himself. When an evil spirit more powerful then man comes into man, the only thing that can be done is to cast it out, but only if God's hand cast the demon out will it be removed permanently and bring back peace to the man that had a devil raging war with his mind, spirit and physical self. If a demon is not cast out by the hand of God then it will return, and bring others with him. What is Jesus talking about? What are these demons that leave only to return. Some are spiritual demons and others are psychological demons. Let me give you example of a demon of the psychological kind. Say a person is struggling with a problem that he can fix. Kind of like the leaky pipe that only is fixed temporarily by a clamp. One can remove a person from a problem and it is a temporary fix, but the problem is not going to be fixed unless one deals with it or solves the issue. If the problem has only bandaid to put on it, the problem will only get worse if it infect by more problems that got attached to the original problem. Now the psychological problem can be fixed with facing and dealing with the problem. Yet if it is spiritual, only the hand of God can remove the demons. The casting out of demons is finding the root of the problem and solving it. It like education takes care of many demons in our world. Especially technology used to explain that what you hear or see might not be your imagination, but there maybe other explanations from something caused by environment such as gas, mold and chemicals to cause not only illusion, but scientific reason for the event. To heal our land we must educate on why there is a monster under the bed and in the closet for children and even sometimes adults. These are things that effect the mind, but it is a very real experience. There not question if satan and his angels are real, but one needs to know the difference. Satan is first a liar and deceiver. His role in a person's life is to deceive or to trick. By deceiving he takes particial control of the human mind and spirit. Even if you are strong, it makes little difference alone without God the devil will is stronger then yours and the only way to bring peace to your soul is trust in Jesus. Jesus is stronger then the devil. You want perfect peace, begin first with dealing with the issue of sin. Knowing you can not change sin, but that you can be spiritually forgiven for it if you believe in Jesus. You maybe able to be forgiven by a person if you ask them to forgive, and sometimes they will not hear you, but if they will receive your apology, realize it can not change the sin, but it can change relationship with people sometimes, and sin always with God is forgiven, by his grace through belief in Christ and turning away from sin. We can not use God's grace to sin and then repent, True repentance is not willifully sinning. When we sin we reacting to our lust, are greed, and desires, or our human nature. God created us and is able to change our human nature to peace. Dear Heavenly Father, you are the king and Lord of peace. Bring peace to our hearts as we receive your Son as savior and Lord right now. We receive Him knowing He will sweep and heal our hearts of anything not of you. Knowing you will be the keeper of our heart and mind through Christ Jesus our Lord. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
