The Rescue: Lesson 4 10/04/2021
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisMark 12:30-34 KJV
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:
33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
34 And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.
Love often finds away to pentrate the heart and soul of man. God is love. God is more then love, but his unconditional love can not be defined in human words or logic. Our need to love God back because he first loved us and sent his Son. We can get controlled by the law and sacrifice that we miss the point of the law. The law is to teach love. To teach unconditional love. Love for our neighbors, friends and family even when they do not love us back. To teach to love God because his laws are good and his ways are good. It not aobut a God that so strict that his laws are not justifiable. It is defining that the rescue of our sin is Jesus. The laying and burying of God's word and raising it back up. Saying you sinned, and I sinned, but saying God love is unconditional in regards to turning away from sin. If sin continues sometimes separation has to occur for peace. It like abuse. Someone that is abusive can not remain in a home for peace for the other individual to occur. Something has to happen to change.
Love does find away. The law of separation is a blessing. It allows one to come to terms there is a better way to receive love, help and hope. Love comes to the heart by God's grace. Despite our abuse of God. God loves us despite our constant rejection of his ways. Until we come to understand his compassion he continues to demostrate love to us by giving us rules to follow and choices to make. Then God sent the ultimate gift example of love to us in the form of a man name Jesus his only begotten Son, his own word in the flesh.
Dear Heavenly Father help us to receive your rescue of love, and teach us to love one another. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
Continual Scripture Study: 1 John 4:19-21 KJV
19 We love him, because he first loved us.
20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
Revelation 1:5-6 KJV
5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
