TIme Of Fiery Serpents
10/24/2020

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Isaiah 14:28-32 KJV
28 In the year that king Ahaz died was this burden.
29 Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent's root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent.
30 And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety: and I will kill thy root with famine, and he shall slay thy remnant.
31 Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thou, whole Palestina, art dissolved: for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times.
32 What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That the LORD hath founded Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust in it.

This passage is out of the book of Isaiah, one of the most prophetic books in scripture about the Messiah, however there is also prophesy concerning Satan and his destructive force especially for the Palestina or Palestine area of scripture. What is occuring is the scripture prophesy surrounding the take over of Palestine, coming in with a force that seems greater then Israel, to destroy it. When i look at the political world i see two heads and a third head always trying to rise but never making it called the liberal party. There is always the Democrates and Republicans always in power, but not always in control. These two powers when unbalanced become like a force across our nation that can be demoniac in nature or life saving depending on your economic situation.

This passage talks about the poor how the serpent rises up and the poor and needy will be feed and cared for, but remnant of God will be slain. What is understood is Philistines(palestine)(that becomes part of the Hebrew land eventually) is under persecution from Israel, and yet when their King Ahaz dies a force arise that has a more destructive force, a force larger then life is prophesied, a type of spiritual force. Something perhaps not recognized by Israel or Palestine. It is a force that will sweep down and protect the poor and needy turning the hearts of the poor to the them instead to God. It is a force that controls the poor until time persecution of slaying the remnant of God's people. Kind of like in the time of Egypt when Joseph passed on and four hundred years later there is persecution from the Pharaoh to killed all baby boys. It not a one time prophesy, or even a one time, event. When we talk prophetic we have to beware that something is occuring that may be already happened in history. Yet it also prophesy of hope, and also speaks of destruction because what occurs is a terrible famine, perhaps because new technology and raising crops change, a lack of rain, or to much rain. Joseph had stock piled in the warning of famine by God to the Pharaoh of Egypt. This is a new warning that will not be taken be believed by the enemy and much destruction will come, to rid the people of God, because of not enough food.

Destruction is going to come to Palestine, and the poor of Israel will trust in the Lord because of the victory and defeat of Palestine. The protection of the poor has to do with the need for labors in the country. Poor are safer in one since then the middle or upper class, but not always. In fact the truth is poor take to much their own destruction is coming. What is the prophesy about, two countries to facing the time of destruction based on whose power is ruling and strong. These powers being a power of destruction to each other and blessing to the people that are poor and in need. It is a shift in power and shift of agenda of who going to die or face persecution.

This force coming was Babylon, this force would plow through both Palestine and Israel. Babylon force would not last and Israel would return to her homeland, the remnant would return. What interesting about the time of return from Babylon Israel would come because of laws and their protective king over the Jews, not because of a man like Moses. Instead it had to do with culture, and the fact that with exile came return, perhaps more like education to the government and then return to your people. Learn our ways and you can leave, kind of deal. Remember somethings can not be seen without the whole study of the situation and the returns that occurred later. It perhaps had to do with the idea that Israel need political leaders that were more like David and Solomon. One ruler and man of God's heart, and also a man of destruction to those that would cause war against him, but also tolerant of those different then him, in since of Solomon wives having faiths different then Israel and a time of peace and not war. The down fall having to do with Idolatry in the land of Israel, but Israel not seeing the picture beyond the law of faith. Babylon not understanding the segregation nature of the people of God for a purpose, for protection and salvation of their God.

Moslem country stuggle with religious power and political power that is also religious. Those of us that are use to the Babylonian life style would struggle with a religious power always in control that not of God. We must remember God in mercy has tolerance for those against his design as long as the way is not destructive, then God will destroy all destructive paths for a time and the evil people that design them. He allows devils to rise to fall, even those that think they are equal to God in power. One day God will destroy all evil from our world and take us home to be in a world he has created for us to live in, that is to protect his people that beleive in his power and his Son, that believe he is the one in control. To remember everyday with Jesus was a day of healing, a day of miracles, a day of demonstration of his power to control, but at the same time the freedom to work and earn by fishing(disciples) collecting taxes, and so forth. In other words the disciples still worked. Yet they were with Jesus. Jesus need them, their nets were filled.

The hope of the Savior and the warring of the devil rising in the streets. The warrings and not fully grasping perhaps what was to come to them. We see the struggle of our own nation and the nations around the world. We see disease controlling our very world and yet our own strength is returning slowing but not without lost, or sorrow. This Christmas and Thanksgiving will be rough for many and for others safe and warm, will still feel a since of sorrow and joy. Sorrow of those gone and joy of the hope of the Savior Return and celebration of his birth. The people of Israel looked for a King David and a King Solomon. Not understanding their King needed to be God/Christ.

Dear Heavenly Father, though you allow evil to rise you also bring destruction, and when you allow evil to destroy we must heed your warnings that protect us from evil, we ask you destroy the evil of this world. Keep our eyes open. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Exodus 1:7-13 KJV
7 And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.
8 Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.
9 And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we:
10 Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land.
11 Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses.
12 But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel.
13 And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour:

Revelation 18:1-5 KJV
1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.
2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
