1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. 4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?
8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.
9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
10 I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.
11 And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.
12 I would they were even cut off which trouble you.
13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. I often over riden with the since our liberty in our nation is not always as liberating as we would like it to be, then I ask again how liberating is true freedom, because somewhere one would cross the line of crossing someone else freedom if we acting on all our desires and wants. Former Vice President Biden as conceded to act in accordance to liberty of our land and seek legal justice for President Trumps action of late. I think to myself so what change takes place in January. Liberty effected by circumcision of the law. What is religious liberty of faith. It is the circumcision that leads to righteousness, called to obey the law or to obey love. Love is a law, to walk by the Spirit is a law of faith. Within liberty we are yoked with freedm with restriction no matter how we dot our I's and cross our T's so to speak. Yet we walk a line of faith, then we will not desire the lust of the the flesh, wrong again we war against the lust of the flesh and our desires on a daily bases, while on earth.
Not to many of us can say we walk into a store seen the most gorgeous outfit or necklace and had to buy it. Most clothes, jewelry and things look the same after so many years because in really nothing new to the eye of the beholder. Yet there is always that one eye catcher that gives us a desire to want things. If we poked our eyes out would we still be in want. We would want by touch and feel of a fabric, caring nothing of how it looked beyond the fact it covered our nakeness. Yet whether one would match with accessories we have no real clue beyond that the item fit and everyone said it looked good. The compliments alone would tell the tale if we seemed cover. It like the story of the Emperor's New Clothes by Hans Christian Andersen and the new outfit was an invisible cloak. Everyone said it looked gorgeous but the question was, is it, the truth it revealed his nakeness to the crowd of unlookers who said yes you look fine and dandy. We watch the Wizard of Oz and everyone had a desire; Dorothy wanted to go home, Scarecrow wanted a brain, Tin man wanted a heart and the Cowardly Lion wanted courage. Everyone but Dorothy was tangible in regards it was self improvement, but Dorothy desire had to be reached by her doing something to get there. Though Dorothy in the movie only had to wish to go home and tap shoes three times to wake from a dream, the reality of her desire was seen as she woke to see her friends and even her enemy.
There is a point. our true nature if it only tangible by shallowness as the Emperor needing new cloak never seen before, to the desire and lust of power seen by the wizard and the bad witches, though one power of the wizard seemed sweet, the truth was still that good desires were attainable by one's own search of it. They were not desire of destruction but of good things of hope, love and faith. The love of others with heart, mind and spirit. They leave out loving God in the Wizard, but if you add God to loving him first and then all others, we learn to love others by how we love God. God does not always bless us with our wants but with our needs. He see our desires and might grant them, but it will be our true desire, that comes from the heart, soul and mind. True freedom such as liberty comes from God.
Liberty has a price of a yoke that brings joy, peace, love, faith, long suffering and so forth. Liberty has something we all desire deep within, A cat that comes and rubs ones legs for breakfast is saying i love you because you feed me, not because you love me back. The dog might learn to sit in obedience but only because he knows without doing so he will miss his reward, and eventually he does it without reward.
If we called to follow the Spirit are we following our desire to obey God, or wanting the treat that comes from obedience to God. If our true desire is granted with obedience or satisfied with obedience to God then our desire is fullfilled. Let's stop right there. If God desires to bless us, we have to agree to obey. We already received the reward of eternal life through faith, a desire seen with the fountain of youth. What we see is man searching for that fountain of youth but not looking to the one that can grant the fountain of youth to bring eternal life.
Something else to note about the Scarecrow he did not ask for a body made of flesh, he was satisfied with being stuffed. The tin man did not desire the oil never to not be readded to keep lubericated and the lion never desired for bravery or victory, but just courage to continue forward. They wanted the band aid but not healing to their desire. We may want to see clearly but we wear the band aid of glasses, we may desire to walk normally and have artificial leg, one might control diabetes by insulin and still eat a sweet that is harmful to the body, because it can not disolve the sugar. In other words the band aid seems to pacify us.
We got all kinds of band aids that fix things in this world, but do we have the one that can fix it all, give the healing in the world to come. Do we have the one that will wipe away all our tears at the fountain of life that flows freely, that will heal our diseases, either in this life or the next. Do we have the one that gives us liberty that will full fill true desire of the heart, soul and brain who is Jesus. God gives a condition, but He is God and his authority is one that says I love you, but you got to believe me, and receive my gifts my way. Not by greed, lust, evil plotting, your control, but as a fee geniune gift the Holy Spirit control in one's life, and give to you as you are in need of it. Not by your desire and when you think you need it. Yet he gives it freely pouring out unto those with desire for Him.
Liberty at the cost of belief and following after God, or liberty to sin and end up in a fiery pit. Which sounds more desirable. Which is more about what you think you desire like new clothes only to show your true colors and nakeness to mankind. Be careful of the desire of liberty because it can cost you more then you freedom, your total humilitation before the world. Our own leaders right now are faced with their own nakeness as they speak on social media without thinking first or watching their words.
You want freedom do it God's way, he is our protector and a true friend that shelters us in the storm in our life. Giving us true freedom when we walk hand in hand with our Savior Jesus through our life, following his Spirit, running after him, and resting to hear his voice speak to our hearts. The desire of family, friends, love, hope and peace will follow.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for true liberty that comes through faith in you, and walking by your Spirit who grants the desires of our hearts. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
Countdown To Thanksgiving: Day 23: Thank you Lord for granting the desire of my heart, my mind and soul. Thank you for giving me liberty through faith in you. Knowing through faith, our desires and needs will be meet, not by a bandaid but total complete healing as we trust in you.

14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.
15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.
16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
