1 To the chief Musician, Altaschith, A Psalm or Song of Asaph. Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.
2 When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.
3 The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.
4 I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:
5 Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck.
6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
7 But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
8 For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.
9 But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
10 All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted. Some days it hard to write my thoughts and today i want to resist and say Lord why more on the chaos in the world and the answer is simply, Our world needs to know says the Lord that even though I am in charge and bring down powers and raise up powers. The chaos of the election this past month left us all not in a state of panic but reality of check of who in charge and who is not. With President Biden saying he will take troops in and remove President Trump, my thoughts were whose army did you say, our nation or your own? Then I realize he acting a role in the stage of election as it appears and I hope that President Trump is too. Do we give thanks to God for the rise and fall of powers in our world. The chief Musician Altaschith has looked into the state of affairs maybe at the time of Saul loosing power to the time of David taking power, or the time frame Of Absalom taking power only for King David to take authority back after the destruction of his son losing power.
Muscian talking about David not tooting his own horn but lifting up the horn of the Lord. He speaks as if he seen last days of the world and God wrath coming in judgment to destroy the sins of the world or all unrighteous only to reestablish the first, his word among his people. It also speaks of Christ blood being pour out for the sins of the heathens. Yet when we get to the end we see the horn of the wicked destroyed and the horn(leader) of the righteous raised and lifted up. To lift up the pillars of Boaz and Jachin in the temple porch, meaning faith and strength.
When righteous comes it comes with faith and it comes with strength and power not of evil or sin, but of purity of hope and purging of sin from the earth. I been watching the powers for over forty years rise and fall in our own land of America. Each power the last twenty or thirty years seem for the people a idea of hope only to be met with disappointment to a degree. The powers of this earth will rise and fall, but we give thanks to the power of the Lord and for the power he raises up to destroy the power of each power not of Him.
When I understand that God's people will also rise and fall and be faced with destruction it makes it easier to understand this is not just about destruction of evil but people learning to trust the one in charge that is Christ Jesus. To understand when all hope seems gone, God still is able to lift his word up again and again despite what man does. Our hope is in the final words of Christ in his declaration is he is the first and the Last. His kingdom is first and is last, HIs power reign first and last, He is ruler of first and the last age to come. All powers in between matters not beyond the fact powers rise and fall and some better for the people and others not.
Our nation needs prayer and hope and we need to thank God for the demonstration of his power in the governments of the world and in the world. Knowing some act out and others take hold and claim Jesus as Lord. Some to shame of their acting and comes to terms with reality of God and why we should be thankful for his power that still rise in the world with the power of forgiveness for sin to all that would believe and repent. Hold to the rise of Christ in your own life and do not fret of what as individuals we can not change or control.
Dear Heavenly Father we thank you for the rise and fall of powers not of you, but we thank you for the everlasting power that is yours that will come with judgment. Help us to hold to your everlasting power, that is for you to control alone. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
Thanksgiving Day Countdown: Thank you for your everlasting power, the name above all names.
Continual Scripture Study:Revelation 22:13-17 KJV
13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
