4 And the king of Egypt said unto them, Wherefore do ye, Moses and Aaron, let the people from their works? get you unto your burdens.
5 And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and ye make them rest from their burdens.
6 And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people, and their officers, saying,
7 Ye shall no more give the people straw to make brick, as heretofore: let them go and gather straw for themselves.
8 And the tale of the bricks, which they did make heretofore, ye shall lay upon them; ye shall not diminish ought thereof: for they be idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our God.
9 Let there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labour therein; and let them not regard vain words.
10 And the taskmasters of the people went out, and their officers, and they spake to the people, saying, Thus saith Pharaoh, I will not give you straw.
11 Go ye, get you straw where ye can find it: yet not ought of your work shall be diminished.
12 So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble instead of straw.
13 And the taskmasters hasted them, saying, Fulfil your works, your daily tasks, as when there was straw.
14 And the officers of the children of Israel, which Pharaoh's taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and demanded, Wherefore have ye not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and to day, as heretofore?
15 Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried unto Pharaoh, saying, Wherefore dealest thou thus with thy servants?
16 There is no straw given unto thy servants, and they say to us, Make brick: and, behold, thy servants are beaten; but the fault is in thine own people.
17 But he said, Ye are idle, ye are idle: therefore ye say, Let us go and do sacrifice to the LORD.
18 Go therefore now, and work; for there shall no straw be given you, yet shall ye deliver the tale of bricks.
19 And the officers of the children of Israel did see that they were in evil case, after it was said, Ye shall not minish ought from your bricks of your daily task.
20 And they met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way, as they came forth from Pharaoh:
21 And they said unto them, The LORD look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.
22 And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Lord, wherefore hast thou so evil entreated this people? why is it that thou hast sent me?
23 For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all. An older people are now having to deal with news from their prescription plan, because of new drug plan guidelines might not be able to get their medicine at their favorite store according to Medicare drug plan papers. What worse is they going to make them go to a store they do not wish to go too because of references from others and they do not trust themselves from old experiences. What this means, is they either change plans, or go with the program of change. This is cruel unusual for older generation who rely on services they trust with their health. If it was because a store was closing it would be different. To top it all off the driving to these pharmacy which can also be out of there shopping area. Now what this means more gas, means more inconvience and more money that the older person can not afford. People over 65 or disable can struggle with shopping and traveling anyway. Though computer shopping is in vogue, it not always the way older generation wants to shop. Government can be worse then the time of Moses when the Pharaoh wanted them to make their own bricks.
What is brick making to many of us today, but industry of building of projects of homes, and businesses. Pharaoh was angry because of Moses and Aarron was causing a stir among the people. Was the prophesy of Father Abraham true. Was what was happening the hope of deliverance they were desiring. Yet it grieve the people of Israel because instead of it appearing that their hope was coming the Pharaoh was only making the situation worse. Making it harder on the people. The people had to travel far and wide to gather straw for themselves and for making bricks. Whether these bricks were used to making the pyramids Some say no, but they lived in the area of Goshen.Israel had been enslaved and no longer people of freedom as in the time of Joseph. Yet God was bringing hope of freedom once more, the devil was trying to control their situation as usual.
The prophecy given to Abraham was that his people would be go to Egypt and enslaved for 400 years. Abraham is already dead, but he had experienced other prophecies of his time had been fulfilled, so no doubt it would of been passed down. Meaning the hope of God's protection was still on their life and God was about to wake them up out of a dead sleep, of his ability to deliver them. In the process of God planning deliverance, he had to make the Pharaoh angry enough to bring about his judgment on King Pharaoh who did not believe in him. God's judgment would come in seven plagues to Egypt. The truth being seven plagues sound much like the seven viles pour out in the time in which the wrath of God will be poured out. When God wants to bring people to deliverance sometime the struggle during rising of evil is hard to deal with because deliverance is about to happen. The work load will seem heavier. Those ready to retire know about long work days that seem to never cease, they only know their energy level is not what it use to be. Bosses often put more burden on them to try and get rid of that generation. Pushing them not above their ability but above their endurance level. If the things are worse but yet continuing don't despair the Lord is coming.
Pharaoh did not want Moses and Aaron stirring message of hope to the people, trying hard to keep control of his slaves. If hope can not be spoken, then the whip is only sound heard by the people. How many in concentration camps listens for the words of deliverance in World War II and none was coming for many years. The sound was clear when things began to get worse with food shortage and geocide on the rise. No one in war times wants to have to carry a lazy person burden, the sounds of war in the streets are often heard, and killings rage.
Pharoah seen how to control the people when making bricks by increased the demand as well has decrease the supply for making bricks. Straw and mud is what was used and baked in a kiln/oven. Some bricks are still made this way today. Government is not looking out for the generation that has already pulled their own work load. No one realizing why because this generation is the baby boomers generation. The population that is the largest is now going into retirement and some been there awhile. Does Social Security have enough to support is always the question and if not why not, the people worked and paid into it for their protection. Where is the money going and how is it being used. For the older generation it often means many hours at home, and decrease in activity and spending for things they enjoy. And government knows what old people make and how to increase business profits so saving for retiree is narrowing sources for this generation that is dying. In other words the government looks to those companies that are against the old people. Now is that fair trade, definitely not.
What is my point today, deliverance is going to come, when the big whigs decide their greed is not greater then their compassion on the people. When their compassion for the people is on a decline God is going to send his deliverance to his people. The way he delivers, is not good for evil people. So today if you are in a ditch, think of enslavement of Egypt and ask yourself when things get tough, God deliverence is coming. There is hope, just pray that hope is not 400 years down the road, for man's life span is much shorter then in the time of Israel. In truth Israel people lived to be ancient and no doubt Israel life span only made the prophecy a little more longing. Abraham and Sarah had their own prophecy of waiting for a child, only for their patience to run short, that they even tried to make the prophecy to come true but could not, for the child would not be of Sarah bloodline if it had been Ishmael, her maid's son. The prophesy came when Sarah conceive and gave birth to their son Isaac, the prophetic child in their old age.
If in our world the prophetic word is being stirred then something is fixing to happen. If God is doing something we need to listen, are we in a time of depression and recession or time of victory is at hand. When God's angels begin to pour out the last plague, God's people will be safe, but the plagues will be coming upon the heathen. There will be no tomorrow for the heathen in the day of final destruction, yet there will be eternal hope for God's people. God is allowing evil to arise in different parts of the world for their own destruction. This is the season of thankfulness, giving and hope. Yet it is also the season of ungratitude, greed and with no hope. What group of people are shouting louder, the ones in despair or the ones with grateful heart. Is the people of whoville singing the songs of cheer or the songs of the grinch of anger and jealousy.
People keep busy and don't allow the pharaoh idea of mass control taint your view of your own work load. Be busy, do your own task, and see the deliverance of God. Because God wants to give you the increase of hope and prosperity, but he also wants to teach you to trust in Him. Do you have to go through the desert to learn about trusting in God? Hopefully not, but if you do look to Jesus, for his deliverance draws nigh. Do not be weary in well doing, be concerned about your own work load, for God sees your labor and it is not in vain.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for deliverance and hope to come, and not always how we imagined tracking through the desert, but staying busy doing the work the enemy has increased. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
Thankful for God's ability to see more then I can see. That his sight gives us hope through eternity.

11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
