Separation From Idolatry
11/14/2019

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

2 Corinthians 6:14-18 KJV
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Something to note the enemy cares not about your life only your destruction. The enemy cares nothing about you. If God is calling you to separation there is a reason for his call. Take heed, to separate as God has called you too. As a christian the hardest thing is not to go when the fire is burning of destruction to try and rescue a few. Something we must understand is God sees the heart of man. If he removing you from an area of Idolatry you better leave. If God is calling you to transform your mind to understand his holiness, realize your unholiness is the question. Where you are is not holy, where you are God will destroy.

I was in church where your shoes literally felt like being removed because of holy ground. Anoint church is a place of godly people only reside, a place where only Christians reside. Holiness is not of righteous of man by righteous through Christ Jesus. To witness such a place means God was bring people together for a reason. Perhaps to worship, perhaps to encourage the weak, perhaps to make the individual strong. Can we have those in idolatry in the temple of the Lord. Not if he calling believers to be separate. Not if he calling them to reconciliation to the house of God.

You can not worship belial and God, belial being a pagan god/devil. we can not serve two Lords. God is said to be a jealous God, he is when it comes to truth about who created and his word performed. Giving God the credit to the devil when God created the heavens and the earth and changing the things of things of God to the ways of evil. Evil has no place in a God's world. I often am amazed at those that love evil in regards to seeing the suffering of another or destruction of another to the point they are laughing and saying look at his wretchness. Hammer your thumb and watch the devil do it too, finding out things are not so funny after all. Yet God allows evil for destruction to come, and it sound in opposition to what I said until one realize God's destruction is often emulated by the devil when he comes to destroy God's saints. Eye for an eye perhaps, but let's give God credit for having weapons of war against the enemy final anniliation in tact and in place ready for use when the enemy comes to try and destroy the people of God. Devil uses words of illoquency in his temptation. For example Eve was convinced by the devil with his words, the same tactic he used with Jesus, who resisted him. The Devil does not have to command you to do anything, he only tempts you into things that God said not too. God uses word on man to call in to compliance, the devil uses his word to call man to disobedience. Neither have to lift a finger if they allow man to make the choice of destruction or safety.

Yeah it hard to grasp the word to Corinthians can be applied today. Jesus went among the gentiles of the land but no record of him going into a pagan temple, or in a place of paganism, except the Mount of Olives that was currently a garden, a place of peace that once had been litered with destruction of idolatry. Did Jesus not fight against temptation in that garden while he prayed. Did he not wrestle with his humanity as well as temptation of the enemy, the final temptation of Christ to remove his own cup from himself and not face the wrath of mankind for not being who man wanted him to be in regards to how they viewed the Savior to be to the world.

The salvation of God is not always with financial freedom, not always without burden of life, and yet prosperity and health and wealth has preached in our country, only to destroy the soul of many that only seek gold. When we seek God how does God change man. How does God heal man. Is it with gold chains and fancy attire, no God changes man's heart to a temple for his habitation, he intent to dwell with your soul within, guiding you as you walk the pathways on this earth. Jesus had a career he laid aside to preach the gospel of peace at age thirty, dying at age 33 on the cross and then resurrected. His entire religious career was the labor of love to his people and to the gentile nation that did not serve him, but sought him out. Did not Christ cast out demons from the temple calling the nation of Israel to holiness, as he turning over also the money tables as the heathens tried to sell in the temple courts as the pagans did. God's house will not be a den of thieves said Jesus and God the Father. Jesus did not need money to feed himself, nor money to feed disciples. Go catch a fish happened on more then one occasion, they even ate the corn in the field. If the hungry were in place where food could be picked how long would they be hungry. Would are nation be hungry after the explosion of the hungry in the farmlands of our nations. Why do the hungry go to the city, because they know rich men will let them have their scraps. Yet if in the farm land they know the farmer will shoot them in their fields, just like they do crows, and bury them without remembering where.

The two worlds of pagans in the city that know not the need of God or his creation verses God in the world of provision by his creation all need. Yet God's people know the destruction of the enemy and their desire to try and control and munipulate God's world with science, prices and cost of seed. The saints know but does the world know, probably not. Yet event the farmer know God creation only in a plague will destroy their fields. Even the farmer knows God's wrath can and will destroy his crop to force him into exile, or force him to abandon his claim, or field. If that field is pagan, you only be there for a time til God brings you back to his holiness. Why is that. Because you can not mix your faith with the world of sin, you can not mix faith with idolatry. You witness to the world, but you can not remain within the world of destruction. Pray your ministry is at a time of planting seed and not a time, of God's wrath whirling across the field for destruction. Either way you see God's world of life and death. Believers coming and other staying not sure what they believe only to turn away, or God's wrath coming with life and death. Birth and destruction. Do not be crossing the path of destruction on the day God's wrath comes, move out, and allow God's wrath to destroy.

God calls his people to holines to be removed and to learn his ways of holiness, so they know his righteousness, his peacefulness, so they know the difference as well as his call of safety. Call to be remove into a time of contentment and rest. God might allow you to date a heathen for a time, but you will not be able to remain with him, and yet He also tell those saved after marriage to remain with one's spouse if one is heathen, for the saving of this person's soul, unless he desires a divorce. Separation coming will then come with death. Understand that your spouse might believe you to save his ownself, if he believes truth.

Dear Heavenly Father, as you continue the process of separation the wheat from the taras(weeds) judge the heart of man for the planting, and judge the man's heart for the destruction of your impeding judgment. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Thankgiving Day Countdown: Day 14: Thank God for hope and peace only he can bring.

Continual Scripture Study for Devotion: Hebrew 12:9-15 KJV
9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
