Throughout scripture it tell us to praise the Lord all day long, but how many truly do it. Some cultures it is a part of there speech. If you enter some churches the only words you need to know is bless you my sister or brother and praise the Lord. Those simple sentences will get through most conversations in some churches. However those words are kind of like any set of words in any surrounding. They key of a conversation, but it does not make it priority. We are taught from early age to say hello and even to ask how someone is doing, yet we are not taught what we should talk about necessarily. One goes into a specialty shop and I guarantee those there can tell about ever product in the store or near about. Yet you go to a large store and people might be able to show you where it is and how cheap it is and yet no nothing about the product. Many people walk in wolves clothing in church. Knowing the language but not the Savior.
We are to praise God all through the day for the things he does for us, yet without a relationship without Jesus is empty. God’s word is precious and His salvation is precious as well. Without faith in the mindless repetition of praise there is no hope of a better tomorrow. Without faith the poor and needy have no hope of getting out of the situation they are in. Gives a barren woman hope. The truth of matter hope and faith is far from unbelief. God is faithful to provide for His people, but there is times of famine, times of poverty and times of wealth for his people. Can we praise God through hardship as well as during the blessing. I think people struggle with praise as much as I do at times in my own life. As a child praise came naturally by faith. I had not the harsh reality of the world or the reality of there was more to gain. Faith is being able to be content right where you are, and not with what you have not. To say I love you Lord in the storm. To love you Lord in the sunshine and the birds are the only music around. To be in mansion and see the wealth and say Lord humble your servant to praise you despite the wealth around. Spiritual humbleness effects both poor and the rich the same. To be thankful for the things around because of God’s providing with ability to work.
Praising God for something we do ourselves is appreciation of knowing when I get up in the morning I can still crawl out of bed. In the evening still crawl back into the same bed of comfort and rest. Spiritual praise comes with spiritual rest. It seeing the handy work of God around and being content in the things of God. To recognize the goodness of God for all people not just the people of faith. To be able to teach faith and goodness of faith knowing blessings come to both types of people. Knowing the reality of God is something to be greatly thankful for, for there people without faith and hope beyond what they can see and hear. They feel not the presents of the Holy Spirit, Know not the bounty of the spiritual blessings of His Spirit walking and talking with the people of faith all day long. If God is walking all day long with you, can you say thank you like you would say thank you for someone opening a door that is shut for you. God is speaking can you say thank you Lord when you are done listening. It got to be learned sometimes, If one has to learn it, is it by the Spirit or are we just lacking in understand when and how to praise. Let us ask God to teach us to praise us.
Dear Heavenly Father give us grace to praise you. Teach us to have the heart of praise on our lips. Teach us to be thankful for your bounty. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
