Faith Established Righteousness

Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris

Romans 3:19-31 KJV
(19) Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
(20) Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
(21) But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
(22) Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
(23) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
(24) Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
(25) Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
(26) To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
(27) Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
(28) Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
(29) Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
(30) Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
(31) Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

If I pick a president that I disagree with, I also choose to disagree with changes he might bring to my nation. If I pick a president I agree with, I agree to his changes, of course not necessarily. Life is interesting. No matter how often we choose or right or wrong in our life if it choose who or what we believe in, then we find our own fallacy when we choose in opposition to it. If I choose to believe in God yet not knowing the law of God does it make me less a believer. If I choose to not follow a God I believe exist and yet follow his laws am I saved by His word of truth of obedience. After all scripture says if you love me (speaking of Jesus) keep my commandments. Faith is a curious thing all together it is something that is from the heart, but it does not keep us from sinning and doing wrong. Our thoughts and actions can be in contradictions to what we believe. We can have faith which is belief with action, or we can have belief with out action. Or we can belief with action but no trust in God.

What saves a man is Godís word. What is salvation to those only that believe in Jesus will not perish but have eternal life. The devil believes Godís word and trembles and his eternity is not in heaven. Jesus spoke the words of eternal life to Nicodemus but he was a righteous man by faith already because he believed the word of God and sought scripture daily to understand about his own faith. Is it enough to believe Godís word for salvation or receiving his atonement for sin the only justification.

A righteous man by worldís standards and God stands before the threshold of his house to defend it against an intruder and shoots. Most say do not kill, and yet this righteous man just shot the intruder who broke the law of God has well. The one that shot in self defense is thrown in jail because he was in the threshold of his house, and the intrude was outside his home when he was shot. He is punished for the his crime of what the state calls murder. The people see the injustice but the crime and law state punish the killer because the intruder is dead. Though the evidence of breaking and entering is apparent the crime of murder exist. Is the law justified. Is the protections of oneís family worth the crime, to no longer protect again.

If one lives by the Spirit of God we obey Godís Spirit. Yet in our flesh we often do the opposite of Godís will. No it is impossible by the Spirit to sin by Godís law. John the Baptist chosen for purpose to preach the kingdom of God sin not, the truth he probably did sin. Yet his righteousness was determined by faith. John the Baptist would know God and no doubt commune with God. There those that believe in God but never have a relationship with God. Abraham believe God when God spoke to him. I talk to my husband every day like most wives do, and yet do I claim I have a relationship with my husband, is he my friend. Many wives claim to be married and have husbands, but end in divorce because of corruption within the marriage and yet remain friends outside of marriage. The once couple excepting each other has people but not accepting a relationship of broken promises. Abraham had a relationship with God of promises kept to him by God. Relationships are broken by mistrust, and broken promises, along with two going in opposite directions.

The question then is the relationship you have with God what is it built upon. It built upon more then just belief. It built on promise and hope of tomorrow. It built on truth and justification of faith, through Godís promises. There are some promises of God we can only hope for because in this life time we will not see them fulfilled. The evidence of receiving in the hear after must be taken on faith. The promise of getting through or by difficult situations in life is only a glimmer of reality of hope, no it can be guaranteed by Godís word spoken to the heart. Or it can be passing words of truth of reality of life. How can one determine if it is God or just life. Only way is that relationship with God only the believer truly knows.

Your good works become a little evidence of faith when even the devil does good works. Prophesy on the other hand proves faith, along with miracles and wonders that follow a believer.

Dear Heavenly Father establish a relationship with your people that truly believe and desire in their hearts to serve you. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Countdown To Thanksgiving 3 Days left: Thank God for establishing a relationship by Christ Jesus to every person who desires to know you and follow you.

Continual Scripture Study for Devotion:John 15:12-17 KJV
(12) This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
(13) Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
(14) Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
(15) Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
(16) Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
(17) These things I command you, that ye love one another.
