Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Proverbs 29:1-27 KJV
1 He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.
2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
3 Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father: but he that keepeth company with harlots spendeth his substance.
4 The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts overthroweth it.
5 A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his feet.
6 In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice.
7 The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it.
8 Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath.
9 If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest.
10 The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul.
11 A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.
12 If a ruler hearken to lies, all his servants are wicked.

God harden Pharaoh heart, but in the end Pharaoh was hardened because his own need of power over Israel, that he pursued them and it cost him his life. When there is godly rule people are happy. What does it mean godly rule. It does not mean necessarily everything is necessarily Christian faith. If we read Romans one it speaks of God as creator allowing man to his own devices and choices. The worship of God being a choice as well. God judges man on evilness/wickedness of the people. He destroys when evil rises up. If you watched the movie backdraft you know when the fire fighter officer says to the city councilman your disposition light is about to go off it means just that. It means his time was about to be up not because of election, but because of his crime. Crime in our world is much like that, people have enough at some point and say no more. If you caught on the wrong side you time will be up to be evil and wicked. It that plain and simple.

When own government is proven to believe lies over truth, they become the villian and must be correct by the people. We see in small countries uprising and may even wonder how the people tolerate such uprising. Even when uprisings have good people in authority, the idea that evil rulers can be in charge the same way is scary thought. We seen in our government how much one leader could control and yet we will never know the full results of his actions in our world and in surrounding countries. Even the Ancients Greeks with democracy failed for a time. What I am saying that people fail to understand the need for solid moral leaders, because justice seems to prevail on who someone else deems wicked? However God's authority will overcome, because God has the power to destroy the wicked.

13 The poor and the deceitful man meet together: the LORD lighteneth both their eyes.
14 The king that faithfully judgeth the poor, his throne shall be established for ever.
15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.
16 When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall.
17 Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.
18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
19 A servant will not be corrected by words: for though he understand he will not answer.
20 Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him.
21 He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child shall have him become his son at the length.

It interesting to note the Proverbs do repeat, but they often speak a truth most will not have time to observe in full measure. The king judges the poor, but the poor meet with wicked people. The wicked hire all kinds of people for the hopes to not be the fall guy in their wickedness. In our time drug dealers higher many people and to get to the top and leader of the drug war officer will have to go through too many pigeons to reach him. It not who growing or making drugs that are the ones need catching it the one orchastrating it and keeping will hidden out of sight. The ability for these drug leaders to lead and impower others to do the same is the struggle of the wickedness of our world. They know how to possess the reigns of people to convince to do more evil.

Where there no vision then people die. I think for moment what is King Solomon talking about, he talking about people with out hope, without a future to dream about. Yet he that only keeps the law have vision, only of happier life by obedience to the law. Do you see a crime and want to commit it only knowing if you do, you would be caught. If you obey the law after witnessing evil, are you better then the evil person, not in the least, because we all sin and fall short of the glory of God, but our hope in faith is of eternal life. We are saved by God's grace through Christ Jesus not of ourselves. Our laws in our land is suppose to work like God's laws. They suppose to be followed to protect the innocent and law abiding citizen. It not to be a burden of correct behavior, but a protection to those evil people want to harm.

22 An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression.
23 A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.
24 Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul: he heareth cursing, and bewrayeth it not.
25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.
26 Many seek the ruler's favour; but every man's judgment cometh from the LORD.
27 An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.

Someone that is anger can often to do more damage then one that is not. He often can lead others to anger. Sometimes anger is justified. Was the anger in Floyd case justified. I believe it was, but did the cop do what he was taught is the question. Do tactics need to change, does things need to change in police world. There are better ways to restrain people especially with extra cops around. Police man's folly or abuse. Police brutality is still a reality that needs correcting in our law enforcement. Without camera's this would never have been seen. That is the problem of our day and time. Better solutions for restraint and better solutions on proper enforcement of the laws.

If a person chooses to partner with a thief he might as well hate his own soul. I have to ask, King Solomon how many people have not stolen or taken something without asking in their life time. I would not want to think about this type of crime, because most have done it. Do we hate our own soul, perhaps because it rats us out on our sins of yesteryears as will as current sin. What then if we have made mistakes what hope does anyone have in the presents of God. God provides an advocator for our sins if we only believe and his name is Jesus. The law weighing the world down, the commandments of God weighing man down and seeing no hope to have life with Christ and God the Father.

God then shows us hope through repentance, through his grace, his word that brings correction, and through belief in his Son. His mercy coming to all that will beleive in Jesus first and then turning from their sin and continuing to strive to be good and not evil, knowing we will fail at times, but we have Jesus to protect us from where we fail.

Sinners outcasted but not forgotten, only outcasted because of their sin. Sin can be removed with belief in Jesus, and turning away from sin. Then one is no longer outcast in the since of sin. However some are still outcasted because for some reason they just never felt they fitted in to the main society. It had nothing to do with sin. It had to do with different ways of life, and sometimes that is about sin and sometimes it just about similiarity of people. Make sure you know why you feel you do not belong somewhere, and why you believe you do. Do you feel you fit in at church because you have similiar things in common with those you worship with? Or do you worship with those that you do not have a thing in common with except for the fact you were saved by God's grace. Fellowship of believers is all about being saved by God's grace and not about sin or those things that you have in common like hand crafts, business, even money or no money. Fellowship is about God's grace in your life and that fact you received Jesus as Lord and Savior. That all anyone needs to know, that you repent and received Christ.

Dear Heavenly Father, let the fellowship of faith be what transforms our ability to fellowship with other believers. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: 1 John 1:1-10 KJV
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

1 John 2:1-6 KJV
1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Romans 10:9-11 KJV
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
