Gather To The Bride

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Isaiah 49:1-26 KJV
1 Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.
2 And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me;
3 And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.
4 Then I said, I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength for nought, and in vain: yet surely my judgment is with the LORD, and my work with my God.
5 And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength.
6 And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.
7 Thus saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.
8 Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;
9 That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.
10 They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.
11 And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted.
12 Behold, these shall come from far: and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim.
13 Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.
14 But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.
15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.
17 Thy children shall make haste; thy destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth of thee.
18 Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold: all these gather themselves together, and come to thee. As I live, saith the LORD, thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them on thee, as a bride doeth.
19 For thy waste and thy desolate places, and the land of thy destruction, shall even now be too narrow by reason of the inhabitants, and they that swallowed thee up shall be far away.
20 The children which thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, The place is too strait for me: give place to me that I may dwell.
21 Then shalt thou say in thine heart, Who hath begotten me these, seeing I have lost my children, and am desolate, a captive, and removing to and fro? and who hath brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where had they been?
22 Thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.
23 And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.
24 Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?
25 But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.
26 And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

In this chapter you find several refences to mother, bride, child and even Redeemer. Redeemer being the one coming for his bride the church. The reference to Christ name being known before his birth, or inside his mother, even his hidden for a time(Matthew 2 end of chapter). And he shall make the mountains a way and his highways shall be exalted". In Isaiah 40 it says the "highways will be made low". It more about straighten the hills and highways into a smooth path, meaning a clear cut straight path to God will be made for man. People will come all over and Zion will say the Lord had forsake me and forgotten me. They think God has left them behind when they are not gather up and taken from th earth with the deceased that rise.

The church as ornaments like a women would attach ornaments or dress to herself, well those not of faith sometimes enter the sanctuary of God and try to claim faith without faith, they are only children attached to something they understand not. When Christ came many wanted to be healed and many were healed. People wanted deliverance and deliverance came, but many understood not who Jesus truly was. The journey/ascension to heaven after the cross before the final curtain call of Christ being lifted up back into heaven after forty days on earth with his disciples, saying he would come again.

Bride taken to heaven is not something any of us want to dwell on, but it happened, after Christ arose. Christ also descended into hell to set the captives free and grab the key of victory over sin and death. Jesus faced the punishment of sin through his descension, but not because of sin, only to set the captives free. God left the gentiles nation needing to understand the events of the bride and the fact of when he would be returning for them as well. Peter would compare the events to come like the days of Noah. After flood mankind grew until the time of Christ appearance until his death and resurrection and then it kept growing.

One other theme in this chapter is war, victory and destruction of the enemy. There will always be rumors of war and wars actually being, what is different though is the quickness of it coming as well as the victory of the saints with the destruction of the enemy. When Christ return all his people will meet him in the sky. No one left behind that will believe. The call of salvation is now. You right now this moment are not left behind. Time is drawing shorter for faith to arise in your heart, either because of your demise or because of Christ return and you have to face Christ Judgment which is God's judgment on the earth.

For a time our eyes are sealed to the truth of who the bride is and understanding the groom is the Savior. Understanding the ornaments on the bride are not ornaments of faith, but corruption that will be left behind. The ornaments of pew sitters without faith, people in pulpits without faith and people without hope of deliverance of God's wrath. The one question will God leave ornaments in houses built at one time for him, to be totally left behind, or will he move them toward faith and hope. Coronavirus has this same type of effect of whether we are left behind to preach the Gospel even more loudly then we ever did before to share faith to continue forward in faith despite who God leaves behind. Anyone surviving a disaster with faith could be asking these questions whether tornados, storms, hurricanes, Tsunami and so forth. Yet what about those left behind that had no faith that seek God, do they have hope, they have hope today for Christ has yet to return in the flesh. When Christ returns in the flesh time is up for the church, as we understand it to be the people of faith in Christ the redeemer who lights the pathway to God.

It is not over until God says it over, keep sharing hsi love and hope in this age, don't quit even as that road gets tough, for God is calling his children home in both disaster, pandemics, wars and so forth, even just stepping out the door and being hit by a bus. The point is God is still calling his children to repentance and saying just believe in my Son. He is the truth and the life. He is the only way to me, for I prepared you a door, a bridge and a key to eternal life, my salvation plan. In Jesus precious Holy name, that draws all to him, because of his love on the cross and his willingness to die in our place for our sin.

Dear Heavenly help our unbelief and may your word light a path in the readers heart and enable many to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior today, repenting of their sin and asking Jesus into their heart in order to be saved. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
