Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Revelation 22:1-21 KJV
1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.
7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.
9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.
11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

The last women in the Bible that is mention is the bride/church. The church is reference to the Church. In Old Testament the bride is speaking of both the church, but also the Jewish people of day and time of when Babylon would one day be over thrown and Israel would have power again. It is not only metaphoric in reference for the church, but the people in Joel, and other prophetic books of Old Testament it was their hope of freedom in the promise land once more. We need think why is important to the church/Christian people. The church looks for a time when Christ will return. They look and hope it be soon. They hope for it to be in their current life span. There a constant power issue in the world we live in and in the world around us. It not about who in power anymore on this earth religiously but more do we have the freedom to follow our faith in God. The church says come, but not all that hear the church comes. Whose voice is important in the calling of the non believer to be saved. Christ voice is most important for salvation, but the bride has a call to call the non believer to the house of God/ church. A call to invite the sinner to know Christ. To know Christ inteminently. There is only one bride, but the segregation of our churches make it seem at times there many doors. Yet there only one door to salvation and that begins with belief and then repentance.

When Christ returns all sin will be gone from face of the earth. All sin cast out with sinners, of unbelief. It important to know that sin has no place in God's kingdom. When Moses gather the people into the wilderness, repeatly sin was cast out from the congregation of people. Not unusual act. The shunning of sin and the sinner is not unusual even today. Many people welcome strangers into their mist hoping God will rule those people's hearts. Knowing that Christ changed there life and so He can change theirs. If there are people in a church that rather condemn a person then love a person, then change within the doors of the church will cease, and people leave and not return. No condemnation, no discussion of sin, allows sin to run through the church, if nothing more then gossip. Love and correction goes hand in hand, but must come by the Spirit of God and not by act and will of man. How easy is for minister to preach not by Spirit only to loose hold of faith. To have faith is to preach by God's Spirit and knowing God will minister to the heart despite the message or messenger.

Christ and the Bride say come, because the hope is for you to have. The water of faith is for all to receive it not just the believer. No one is ever thirsty again that receive Christ. No one is ever thirsty in the spiritual since with Christ in the center of the heart of a person. There time the word flows in abundance into the heart and soul of a person and their times a person wrestles with God through his word. These are growing pains, not necessarily backslidden or running in some odd direction, this is working through process of knowledge God has provided to the believer's heart. Now for the sinner, he maybe running away from the word of God, or running from knowing God because of sin. Yet no one knows if he will return to repent.

When Christ comes the church will be ready to receive the hope of eternity in eternity. Not just the idea of eternity that reigns in the believers heart upon faith. It will be on the side of redemption that the believer fully reunited with their Lord, not just in Spirit. While the church waits and watches they need to be crying come to those heavy burden with sin is now. Time of salvation and redemption is now, not next week when you laying in the hospital room, yet salvation still yours while alive. The hope is yours along has you breathing, but time ran out if you stop to make a choice for your eternity. The last women in the Bible mentioned is the Bride. The Bride that should be calling mankind to salvation. Beware the devil imitates the bride. It nothing new. Does the church send the message of love and hope through Christ. or is the word Christ lost to the church. Is the atoning blood of Jesus missing from the church. Is it missing out of your scripture text because of a translation. Take a look and study this issue. Compare it to a translation that does not leave God's hope out. Beware my friend, the devil will try and destroy everything of God even his word. Last instruction to the church is to cry come. Are we crying come to the lost and dying world.

Dear Heavenly Father help us to cry come to the lost. Help to cry the hope of salvation to the world is through Christ Jesus. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study for Devotion: Joel 2:18-21 KJV
18 Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people.
19 Yea, the LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen:
20 But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.
21 Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things.
