The Cross We Must Bear As Humans
3/30/2020

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Numbers 16:40-50 KJV
40 To be a memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger, which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before the LORD; that he be not as Korah, and as his company: as the LORD said to him by the hand of Moses.
41 But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the LORD.
42 And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the LORD appeared.
43 And Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of the congregation.
44 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
45 Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces.
46 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun.
47 And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people.
48 And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.
49 Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah.
50 And Aaron returned unto Moses unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the plague was stayed.

The cross we might have to bear is a plague. A plague not by our hands but the hands of those who think nothing but about their own intergrity and power only to find their power is not so powerful when it effects their own. Plagues often show who is in control. It not any country or any man, it can be the power of God has comes to destroy, but not all that are destroyed are necessarily seep in sin. Plagues have no markers that say it only targets one type of person. Only target bad sinful people it does not say that. It says plagues come for correction of a people. Yet if we bare our cross do we have to bear the burden of disease the answer is maybe yes. If we never been through illness or trouble one can not understand someone else going through it.

In this chapter in Numbers it tells a story where leadership was overthrown for a short moment in time because they were grumbling and disapproved of Moses. Now if all the democrates or anti President Trump died of the plague I think our nation would be very concerned about this. However despite our own plague at this time, we have to ask what do we know about the cause of this plague. What can be done to heal our land and the nations around the globe.

Moses and Aaron had a visitation from the Lord at the Tabernacle built for God. The other leaders had tried to build their own tabernacle, there own place of worship, and not the place that God had given specific instruction on how to build and who should lead the congregation. The people of Israel thought they could just switch leaders because they wanted too. The control of government and worship already had God chosen leaders. When the plague started the congregation had already witness those that tried to over throw the government swallowed up. Now they were faced with a plague, and Moses out of his love for the people went and stood between God and them making atonement for their sin. The plague left but not without death occuring. People died because of the sin of not wanting to do things God's way anymore.

Today you see surgical mask all over the place and I wonder is Islam trying hard to make us Islamic/moslem. I think not, but the way were acting is that germs can be kept from spreading if we cover. I hear to tell you germs are smaller then the cloth holes. It only protects your face from coughs, sneezes and you on passing cough or sneeze directly at someone else. In other words the goop of spit or snot will not land on you personally but perhaps the material, the germ is in the air going through your mask. Our government says quarantine, our government says 6 foot distancing and church says get saved and have Christ atonement in your life. But none of these things will stop the plague from reaching you. God is able to protect, he able to cleanse us inward and outward. Air tanks and googles are better then mask, but still they do not completely protect.

If what our nation is facing is because of sin, and other nation are facing because of God's wrath, we all are in trouble. The fact that not all are dying, is only proof that it is a plague of germs, but it is treatable and curable. It was not a plague by the hand of God but man made plague accidently designed to kill and spread. Yet the second strain not so sure if it was accidental.

There is point about plagues some are from God, some man made and others accidentally created. When God is not involved it effects us all of our lives and all lives matter. The point it has no segregation of who going to get sick or who going to die when it is created by man. God needs no lab to cause a plague, nor does he need help of man to spread it. However in Revelations one of the last plagues is spread by seventh angel of the Lord. It is a plague not of disease but of hail. Islands are mountains were not found. The hail destroy everything. Plagues are destructive. God's power can be healing or destructive depending on us. God power to heal when man mess up is still available to man. God is only wanting to destroy evil and not those that follow Him. Yet when it is a war of man, men everywhere suffer. If God sends a plague he can control who it effects. If God wants to speak to only his people he can by his Spirit, and he wants to talk to the world he will by his power by the Holy Spirit.

Let us deal rationally with the things in the world of whether it be of God, whether it be of man, or whether it be of the devil(let not leave him out). Even the devil raising will fall by power of God just as well as the mistakes of man fall at the power of God to deliver. Let us pray for God's atonement and deliverance.

Dear Heavenly Father, as many face Corona virus let us not be fearful, but help us to know in our hearts the atonement of Christ and his deliverance, whether through life or death. Be merciful Lord to your children for they cry for the sinners as well. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Revelation 16:15-21 KJV
15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.
18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
