Crosses We Must Bear

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Acts 14:19-20 KJV
19 And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.
20 Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.

The Journey of the believer is such that often we fail to understand there are devils(men/women) that will persecute the believer for their faith. Some of them claim to even be Christians. Some of them care not about the person they choose to hurt. These people are not your friends or friends of your faith. They are people that are control freaks. They are people that will tear you down and spit you out everytime they got a chance too. They are bullies. Some of them are cyber bullies, some of them are government people that hack your world to destroy you because they are in opposition to you, but not in opposition always of freedom. They think their freedom is the only freedom that is right not realizing there is another world that is persecuted because they are persecuters. They are the right wing fundamentals of their world. They are the ones you need to watch out for, because they will try and destroy your life, your faith and your ideology that they believe is totally wrong. They do not believe in allowing God to change your life. They believe they must change your life.

If you read my site I hope something happens you decide to do your own research and search scripture for yourself, and asking God to speak most of all to your heart to your soul and not to allow anyone to steal your salvation. Not to steal those things most dear to your heart. Do not be afraid to stand up for your freedom, because in truth your cross is important, the cross you willing to fight for. Paul cross of carrying the Gospel often lead to him being persecuted. His journey or story begins with the stoning Steven in chapter 8 of Acts. Paul was not a quitter, because Christ turns him on the Damacus road, by blinding him and speaking to him. He had to go on to Damacus to be heal. (Acts 9). Paul is seen being persecuted for healing a person. Paul is then stone for his faith in Jesus, for they wanted to bow to him and worship him because of the miracle. When he told them he was not God, they tried to kill him. Paul was stoned to the point of near death or death. The believers stood around him, prayed over him and he got up and walked to the next village. He did not quit. Paul did not quit. Paul stood his ground, but move on away from those who persecuted him.

Sometimes in life we got to move on and stand up in faith. Realizing those that do not want God, will face their maker for judgment. Those who desire God and his salvation through Christ Jesus will go and be with him one day. One more thing keep praying for the lost that need Jesus, for the judgment of the unbeliever is real.you desire God and his salvation through Christ Jesus will go and be with him one day.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for your grace, and help us to stand carrying our cross as Paul did with each stoning, and beating he endured, just like Christ picked up his life and continued his mission from the grave. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study for Devotion:

Matthew 16:24-25 KJV
24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
