Call Upon The Name
6/19/2020

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Genesis 4:25-26 KJV
25 And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.
26 And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.

The question occurs in the heart of man the importance of believing in Jesus. To believe he is the Son of God and the Word of God in flesh. It is about the importance of believing the impossible has come, for Christ came through birth by a virgin. In science the possibility of spontaneous regeneration is impossibility. Nothing that dead can produce life. Yet for faith spontaneous generation is produce in a non believe into a believer. Without spiritual being dead spiritual life can not arise or come to be. One must be born again. One must spring anew from a dead soul. Our soul may be dead spiritually because of unbelief but it had to rise anew in belief. Adam new his wife again, and Adam recognize that another son had come to him from God. But even so this Son was spiritually dead until the men began to call on the Lord. Eve praised the Lord when Cain and Abel were born, but men did not call on the name of the Lord until Adam's third son was born, after Adam lost two sons, because of one killing. Cain had been sent away by God. Adam now had no children until Seth was born. That when perhaps Adam began to realize the power God to raise up another son that would worship God. The failing of one son like unto himself, and looking ahead for the son that would live in perfection for God, and being obedient to God in perfection, his name is Jesus.

If Jesus is without sin, it is a fact Jesus was without sin, how can Jesus be without sin if born as man, because there no one perfect but God. The Bible says in Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. In Romans 2 it say there none that are righteous. An Egg within Mary began to flow for death, and within that egg the impossiblity of conception came by the Holy Spirit. The egg had no life of its own until the Holy Spirit words came to be within Mary. The part of God remain within the human flesh of man name Jesus the Son of God, but the Son was also fully God because of the Holy Spirit being His Spirit, yet he was also fully man, because of his flesh that could be destroyed. God's Spirit never died, instead God's Spirit set the captives free and raised up the flesh into incorruptibility, the enability to be destroy ever again. The scars remaining for the believers to see and know Christ paid the price for sin through his death on the cross for you and me. Paid with the strips, paid with corruptibility given to man because of his ability to make choice to obey God or not to obey God.

God never abandon man he said anyone that called ont he Lord would be saved. Yet we deny his word, we deny the ability for God to save because of unbelief. The answer is no, for to believe we trust the Lord can raise up Jesus and forgive us on the cross, he can raise us up for eternity. Our spiritual rebirth beginning with faith in Christ Jesus, understanding the impossibility is a reality, and faith comes with hearing the word of God and believing. It is a hard step.

Why did man begin to worship God, because Seth was born, or because Adam seen the hope of promise of God being able to give children when one child was taken and other had filed him as a son. That hope of giving life even though his body would die, meant there was hope for the next generation. Next group of children, and so he taught his son to worship God and to call upon the name of the Lord. It is a choice to teach your children to worship God and a choice for them to have that personal relationship with God. Not all children will choose God, but the hope is that they to will know the hope of salvation of the Lord. That world we live in his not without mercy of the Lord, or the salvation of the Lord for all that call on the name of the Lord and believe God can do the impossible by saving our soul, and not the flesh of corruptibility but raise us up into incorruptibility.

Dear Heavenly Father give us the hope of salvation knowing we no longer spiritually dead, but spiritual alive through faith in Christ Jesus and our Heavenly Father. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Romans 10:8-13 KJV
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

1 Peter 1:17-25 KJV
17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
