Every Sunday A Psalms: God's Throne

Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris

Psalms 89:1-7 KJV
(1) Maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
(2) For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.
(3) I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,
(4) Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.
(5) And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.
(6) For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD?
(7) God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.

The reverence of Godís throne so clearly seen in the time of David. No doubt the throne of God was fear through out scripture, but it clearly seen with Davidís reverence to God. God honor David faithfulness to him. Promising not to take the scepter out of his hand. What is faith in God and what does it mean to be with him in heaven but to walk obedient to his will in honor to his throne. Godís protective hand on his chosen and their families have been ever promised through out scripture. It is when the heathen rage, Godís people face the results on earth of evil man. Yet in heaven Godís grace is clear seen along with His mercy on his children.

God setup the kingdom of Israel and the religious order, but at times man thought they were in control forgetting the ways of God, and God would correct them. The assembly of the saints to worship God in heaven. Is much I imagine to be like the grand performance of the stage of our Christian music artist of time of praise and worship, yet I wonder how many musical sounds will be hear. Yet I know for certain we will hear the spirit of truth spoken to the saints, telling to story of His people.

Dear Heavenly Father may your people gather on earth as in heaven to hear your word and judgment for your people. May we walk in your obedience. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
