4 For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you. To be weak in Christ, to not know everything, or understand it all, is weak in regards if we let it get us down. It only a reminder of our own mortality and our own humanity that we are weak in areas of both faith, hope and love. Sometimes weak that when we do something for God it is totally in his strength it gets done. Christ was nailed to the cross in his humanity and in his weakness, not because he was unable to free himself but the will of the Father. He was weak, but did the will of God by dying for our sins on the cross. If the dead that were righteous(holy people of old Matthew 27) had not risen that day of Christ crucifixion it would not been enough to prove his power to raise up you and I in the end, nothing will convince you. God could of removed his Son from the cross and destroyed the earth, instead he allowed Christ weakness and suffering for you and me and for our sins. Ours sins are what causes our death, but our resurrection comes by the power of God by Christ Jesus. With Christ resurrection alone that is proof by faith alone of the power of God to do the impossible. He removed our sins, and cleanses from all unrighteousness, by his grace and by his power.
Our own sin betrays us, but our faith in Christ redeems us. Our ability to understand we need saving, not by power but the power God through Christ. We need a Savior. We need Jesus. God in his love for us gave us his Son so we would not perish but have eternal life. In your weakness today allow the Holy Spirit to bring strength and power from God to do his will. In our human weakness we are made strong through his power and might.
Dear Heavenly Father remind us of our weakness to humble us at the knowledge of your power and will being done in our life. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
