Temptation Is Not Of God 07/21/2021
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisJames 1:12-16 KJV
12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.
All believers wait for the day they will given the crown of life. That crown life is given to Christ in service to him. We surrender our life to God on earth and also in heaven at his throne. Was trying hard this morning to find the exact verse where this information was found, and realized that in my search, however it is enough for me to know it is there. Yet some of you will be saying where, and I going to say go and search and then paste that verse to my facebook page. If you are right I place a facebook sticker under your comment. Truth of the matter I just gave you and open door to do what, something good for me. However I did not ask you to do anything mean, if I had that would be temptation from who the devil. I am not God but what I ask is something recorded in his precious book of life. I can not keep up with all the verses and I do not try too, but if search engine allows me to locate I fine with it. Will not this morning.I am challenging you to search by Bible app or concordance today only.(7/21/2021).
Talking about temptation this morning no temptation that is evil come from God. meaning temptation of evil comes from the enemy. Now I am not God, nor do I pretended to be. However, I will tell it like it is. We all sin and fall short glory of God. We all face temptation and knowing the source of temptation should tell you whether you want to allow the devil to entice you, or to avoid it all together. To be tempted by cake is not the same as being tempted to steal. Yet that extra piece of cake might be the devil if you have an over eating problem. If your tummy growling you are hungry, but if you just craving because it is available to you that gluttony. Sexual desire not of one mate but of another person, male or female is lust. To have sexual appetite that leads to action is sometimes a crime, bad advancement, and sometimes just plain flirtation that leads to sin eventually.
Any sin is like lust or desire that until that desire is scratched, taken care of, or satisfied it feel like it burning a hole in your gut, mind, heart and soul. I have dog that loves to sleep between my husband and I. One can move him and he just returns like a yo yo. She doesn't lift up her ears when she does it she gives that little pout look, those eyes look as if she could cry, and puts down her ears like she lost her best friend. Who can avoid not allowing the open door to tell her it is okay to break us apart again. The open door of this kind not evil intent, but the action of desire of the little dog that wants only attention is clear, he needs love. Now the cat acts similiar but he has an aggressive nature. He wants to bite, or scratch you if he does not get cuddled the way he wants to be cuddled. His intent it is his way or the highway and if you do not like it, I will bite you. He like the serpent that tempted Eve. Cat looks cute and cuddly but in truth you going to get bit sooner or later.
Bad temptation is like the cat and open door is like the dog. We all are tempted of both good and evil, but you have decide do you want the open door from God or the temptation of the Devil. There evil consequence from bad temptation and from open doors there is always blessings and sometimes struggles, but all in all it is good. Every evil temptation leads to sin and to death. However, I have decided if I can't move from my chair to feed the cat, I might land up being his lunch. That might sound gross but it illustrates a point what appears cute, nice, friendly might just be the devil. Choose wisely the path you take, for God will not lead you into a path of destruction. If Eve had stay completely away from the tree of good and evil, I suspect she never seen how good that fruit looked on it. If we choose wisely the path of righteousness, it will lead us to a crown of everlasting life.
Dear Heavenly Father, help and guides our footsteps in the path of open doors that leads to life everlasting. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
