turtle30cshell Daily Devotions For July
Believers Transformation
7/28/2019

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Romans 8:15-39 KJV
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

If you ever watch a catepillar change into a butterfly you know that time it takes is a full year. During the winter the catepillar goes into hibernation by forming a cocoon, and then through winter it remains until summer, where it transforms into a beautiful butterfly. A young girl transforming from childhood into a woman, might began the first day of school wearing makeup, dressing up and even a new hair style til almost her friends do not recognize her in some cases. The transformation being drastic enough to be recognizable difference. When one gets saved it is a new beginning for the person. The unbelief is gone, and the belief all things are possible through Christ if we only believe begins to transform a person. The believers heart cries abba(Father) and our spirit connects to God spirit and we know we are children of God. It is like coming out of a cocoon, or changing from childhood to adulthood. It is transformation that takes place by the renewing of our minds as well as our hearts.

How is God transforming a new believer to be more like Christ. To enable us to change to be more like His dear Son. No we are not Jesus, but we will go through a transformation to love more like Christ. To willing suffer for the sake of Christ. What suffering. I got to suffer as a believer. Paul found himself persecuted as a believer, he knew that christians suffered because before he got saved he witness the stoning of Steven a christian. Paul even persecuted the believers in Christ. Today the non believer perhaps knows nothing about the suffering of God's children, nor do they really care. To hear about a Bible being burned, or a church being destroyed no tears come to the non believer beyond maybe a small amount of empathy that normal for mankind.

Do believers suffer for their faith today? The truth is, it more subtle then time of the Roman empire in America, but it still occurs. Other countries, some places Christians still die at the hands of foreign governments and relgious groups not of our faith. Do Christian die for their faith in America? Most would never know it. Hate crimes of today is usually not based publicly on religion. Hate crimes are often seen for the Jewish people, but never really advertised on our news. Is persecution controlled in religious free society, the answer is only in the political mind.

How do believers deal with persecution by the power of the Holy Spirit enabling and the Spirit speaking in our behalf to God the Father. Our spirit goans for paradise. We long to be in the presence of the Father. We long for completion of the transformation of the earth to be transformed into a new creation. We long for heaven to pass away and all things to become new. We long for day our spiritual transformation of immortal body. The idea of heaven awaits of transformation from death to life, the final transformation for the believer. It not just the born again experience of faith, but the final transformation that comes with human death. Our bodies have to deal with the elements of this world. Deal with issues of this world that are not always of God, but are apart of the world we live in.

As a child of God we desire the place of paradise, the world of God's perfection. The world that the devil no longer has power but is cast out from. Paradise is far from human comprehension. I once said most today could not deal with living in a godly world, That Christ coming back even for his people going to be a shock even for them. To be under his laws will change us even more. Yet we must understand the world in which we are in will no longer be with the suffering of this world. No longer with the sin nature of the world we live in.

Our transformation is not of this world, but of Christ. If of Christ then the world that being created for us we will fit in. Yet our mind set of how one preceives heaven is far beyond what the new heaven and earth will be like. Christ talked about his longing for home and the mansions God is preparing for us. We need to know that God is not only preparing us for our future but changing us through our journey with Him. In other words our journey with God in this world as we learn to rely on Him changes how we view the loving God that provides and even takes away in this life. We learn that the loving God we serve is a God that sometimes allows us to see the why or why not. He shows why one was not heal or healed. Why he did not remove the obstacle in our path or why we barely stumbled. Why the door was shut and not open. God knows what is best for us and so we learn from the day of salvation about his will for our life, about predestinate state of salvation and then the road of helping others to believe too. Hoping no one will be left behind. No one being cast out with the devil and his angels.

Nothing can separate us from the love of God. For all that repent and turn to him will find the hope of eternity. To all that receive Christ sacrifice for sin, will find salvation paid for through redeeption of His Son. That we no longer have a heart of fear but we cry Father, you are the great I Am. You are the Lord of Lords. You given grace when we deserve not. He is our hope and our salvation as believers. You are the transformer of the mind and Spirit. Send revivial Lord for that renewing hope that is for eternity as well as for the journey ahead.

Dear Heavenly Father give the grace to the believer to strengthen us in our hours of need, as well as in time of joy, knowing you are there even when we think not. Continue the transformation of our minds through your Word and Spirit In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study for Devotion: Romans 12:1-3 KJV
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
