turtle30cshell Daily Devotions For December 12, 2019
The Ambassador Of God
12/12/2019

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Isaiah 9:6-7 KJV
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

As we look around the world today and see how many nations we are not at war with the simplicity of peace with countries, even building of the embassy in Israel itself, we must ask what is the meaning of all these things. The welcome house of embassy, meaning governments has a place where their own people can go and get help when on foreign shores, with guidelines of international law, country laws and laws of the land a person is in. The embassy a representative of the country they are from. A place, a house that says your welcome to be here in our land, but it is not always the case. It a place where the abassadors from different countries live. A place of safety or suppose to be, not always so, because of uprising against other countries. Was Christ the Messiah to come a representative from God or a representative to the world of Jewish people?

Jesus as Ambassador of God, being a prince of peace, an everlasting Father, mighty God, a couselor and called wonderful, the government of God resting on his shoulders. He came in peace and the government of peace would rest on him. Did Christ the Ambassador fail? Did the peace offering of hope fail in his duties, not by God's commission only in the eyes of the people that expect Christ to rule on the earth in regards to power in the city of Jerusalem. Very flaw of expecting a global king in one you can see and speak with daily in a tangible way is not the same as one being ascended into heaven and ruling from heaven upon the earth. When you looking for a physical king, and get only a spiritual king, you loose the image of a earthly power over you in regards to a particular group of people having a earthly king. It means that one is in submission to another power in the physical world, but not necessarily the spiritual world. An Ambassador of peace for the spiritual world and one day the physical world. The Tower of Babel was destroyed because man seen a way to reach God on their own. The fall of man being based on leaving God out of the picture and not honoring Him. Being submissive to God. Our idea of reaching up to God in our ability is short lived when we see the tower of Babel and the people scattered (Genesis 11).

We have a king that is prophecied in Isaiah to be born and that the government shall rest on his shoulders. He has more then one title and as the government increase there would be no end. Now what is this a reminder of the time of David when David fought the enemies around about him, and brought peace to the land around Israel. Solomon would rule after in a time of prosperity. Israel was looking for that type of king.

As super powers have fallen in the last century we sit back and watch our country rise to offer peace as King David and yet the one error is the idolatry in our land. Now I believe God has the ability to change hearts, the war is spiritual and not physical or should not be physical. Some religious groups would like to kill anything not like them, and others would rather have peace. Is that God's full intent. Is it in opposition to God. One has to realize when it comes to spiritual war it should remain being fought in the spiritual realm of the human soul and not the physical realm of humanity. God in his mercy and grace allowed man to follow after idols only to one day destory when the land became to corrupt. God even allowed ambassadors house of king Solomon's wives though they would be the destruction of Israel in regards to religion of idolatry being brought into the land. God might allow something to happen or occur, but it does not mean he is in agreement.

What then do we see a spiritual presents of a peaceful God coming to make peace only to find He will be lead to the slaughter, no it part of prophecy this king would be lead to the slaughter, that this king would die. Yet he is king who ruler will rise up in the form of Christianity and faith in Christ who is raises back to life to rule from heaven, to rule by His Spirit in our hearts to change us into the people He has called us to be. People representing his hope peace and happiness to the world. The learning of the peaceful ways of God and not always the weapons of war. The weapons of war is not the physical weapon but the spiritual weapons of the word of God. God uses prophecy as weapon to prove truth. One way he did so by bring Christ the Messiah, the prince of peace, the mighty God, and a counselor to the world. The return of God to the world as spiritual ruler through Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit. The only True ambassador of God as Son of God, and yet we are too are ambassadors as sons and daughters born spiritually by His Spirit. We are called to be ambassadors of faith. We are called to let God's light shine in us through His Son birth, death and resurrection. No one seeks crucifixion. Yet people of Christ and God are often persecuted by none other then ambassadors of the devil trying to prove their god is mightier then ours, and yet the only thing that will stop the devil is Christ power of truth and righteousness. Many have died bring about truth and righteousness. Receiving of truth brings about peace when all sides agree. Right now in our land no one is in agreement on our President. Yet truth will be hopefully the deciding point of rule based on law does not cause conflict. Part of agreement of law is obedience and acceptance of a law until otherwise it can be changed. Then you have to decide is it what's best for nation or wil itl only hurt a nation.

My point being God's grace and mercy on man to allow man to stumble and fall when they follow not his ways or receive his ways. God's grace when man built idols the first time, God's grace when man thought an earthly king could rule them and be like other kingdoms. Not understanding the first king was given because they were rejecting God leadership as ruler, despite that there were godly kings in power through out Israel history. God wants to establish the spiritual king and kingdom for his people. This earth much like the wilderness, and yet with faith it more like the journey of Samuel and Elijah the prophet. Hopefull not the beatings of Paul or the persecution of the early church in this day and time, but if it is, it is for a godly purpose. What we must grasp is the world of the spiritual church is not the same as a place to meet, where all kinds of people from all kinds of backgrounds come to learn about and hopefully worship God not in show but the inner heart. Will you this Christmas, this season allow Christ to rule your heart and soul. Not just by the reminders of Christmas theme surrounding us in churches, and even in the city streets. But allow Christ to rule in our homes and heart this Christmas. Can we keep the peace of God with our neighbor though they may not have Christ in their heart. Can we show the love of God to our neighbor? Do not think you are not human, do not think that your feelings can not be touch by things done that is not kind or good? Try and hold those things in check that are not godly, but when you fail realize you have a ambassador to God, who will never justify sin, but will be forgiven and his name is Counselor, Mighty God, the everlasting Father, and the Prince of Peace.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for the ambassador Jesus Christ, help me live as ambassador for you in trust, truth and faith, in Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study for Devotion: 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 KJV
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
