Joy Maybe Full
8/31/2020

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

1 John 1:1-10 KJV
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Ever walked around feeling like your half empty. Ever feel like somedays are harder then others. This as been a rough month for writing for me, but not really. See I sit down at my computer usually in the morning and type after playing a few video games. Now most would say think I spend and hour of prayer or more before typing and in truth in a way I do. It during those times of prayer, I am multitasking. What is multitasking for me, is doing something with my hands and mind and talking to God with my heart to cleanse the soul and mind. Some days my thoughts are on things I can not change myself, even if I tried. And there are times when my focus is on what I will be typing on. Sometimes it prayer for someone, and other times, it cleansing of the soul so that I can write. It the wrestling of God with the human spirit, so when I write those things deepest recess of my heart remain their in protection by God's hand. Somedays it like empty of the inner soul, to be filled with God's presence and fore thought of what I will write. We need that fullness of God's Spirit to share the Gospel. We need not to feel half full to share God's word. I write so your joy be complete, but what will it be complete in is the Gospel of Jesus, but I do not always write about Jesus, sometimes it about God or the Holy Spirit, yet if only one is present in the lesson all three are there because they are one. Our joy needs to be complete in God and Christ Jesus. Our fullness or filling comes by the Holy Spirit.

Yesterday we talked about how God declared all he made good. But we also talked about how man reject God's word by disobedience to eating the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. That man sinned. I like to go a step further and declare by man sin in the garden the unrighteous shield came off and their the nakeness of Adam and Eve sin remained. Yet when Adam and Eve left the garden God made two fur coats for them. Made them a covering. We look to the sacrifice for sin at the time of Abel and Cain as being a covering of obedience, which Abel remain righteous before God for his obedience but Cain was unrighteous for his disobedience. When walk in righteous and in obedience to God we walk in his light and his truth. We are able to have fellowship with God because we walk in obedience to him.

We are children and offspring of sinners, and so it makes us fruit of sinner because of disobedience but our disobedience is often caused by own choices in life. We choose to obey or disobey God. Our own sin causes us to be a sinner. Christ came to redeem us through his shed blood on Cavary. When we receive Christ we are redeemed, we bought with a price(i Corinthians 5:20). We are not redeemed to serve sin but to serve Christ as freemen. Freed from the yoke of bondage that separates us from God. It important to admit to God and mankind that we are sinners. I do not think I am better then anyone else, but there are people think i am better then them, perhaps in their ignorance of not knowing my heart. If I say i have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, I am equal to everyone else standing in the need or prayer. What I am saying we all sin and fall short of the glory of God, no one is exempt, but are we able to admit it publicly or before another human being. I not afraid too. Because without salvation I am lost because my garment is like filthy rags that can not come clean. Without God making me a coat or armor of salvation through Christ Jesus, I can not be made whole and neither can you.

It is through God's mercy he forgives us. In him is not evil, and there is nothing but good in God. If you chose his path you choosing the goodness of God and the fullness of God to be in your life. Your joy in life can not be complete without salvation for your soul. John preached salvation and the light of God to all mankind. we choose disobedience to God and deny his salvation or say we have not sinned, we make God a liar and the truth is not in us. Let your joy be complete knowing with repentance, with confession of sin and belief in God's word through Christ death and resurrection, we are given an armor fit that is stronger then any armor built by man to enable us to fight temptation of evil one, and to fight against our own desire for sin. We might slip and fall, but we are still in God's army for we covered by blood of the Lamb by faith, but we must continue in the light when we recognize our sin, we must continue the pathway that is toward God. When we fail we have advocator with the Father his name is Jesus. Jesus said Father forgive them for they know not what they do.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for the hope you bring through your Son so our joy can be complete through faith in Christ Jesus. Help us to understand your salvation even more today then yesterday, so our joy is not stolen but filled and over flowing to share your Gospel of faith in Christ Jesus. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: John 15:9-11 KJV
9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
