Christ Being First Of All Creation
8/03/2019

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Colossians 1:12-23 KJV
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

John 1 declares God's word being from the beginning as being with God and is God. The begining point of God is unknown but the fact the word being part of God being or existing alone and with God and a part of God is plainly seen in Genesis 1 and 2. Let me back up a moment today lesson is about Jesus being the word of God and then expanding to being the first born of all creation and even the church. The human concept of who Jesus is, may only be seen by most as the baby that would grow up and die for the world and follow with his resurrection. That were ends for most. Yet it is not all to know about Jesus. His miracles are not the only thing to know about Jesus. Jesus origin is not fully known beyond being with the Father from the beginning. Origin Jesus is known as far being from God and His God is simple but to understand where God himself arrived at being before us, no one will perhaps truly know that answer. It matters not if God's oneness alone was all from the beginning, we can only understand that Jesus himself had a beginning in the since of creation, but a begining point before creation. A beginning point as being God himself, but not beyond how can it be. What I mean is that beginning point of Christ is only in the creation aspect of God's creation as man understand. Man's mind is finite and God's mind is infinite. In other words our mind can not comprehend the being point of God the Father of all creation. Our mindset of creation of the world as we preceive and comphrend it.

Jesus is said to be the first born of all creation. Ever think of what it is for Jesus to be first born of all creation. The mind of God conceiving the idea of something being created. Almost a thought process of human origin in thinking, but it is of God in the since of God speaking his thoughts of what He would do as He is creating the things of this world as we know it. Like a child taking a ball of clay and for the first time beginning to form the images of dinosaurs, doggies, and kitties to create a play dough world. God begin to speak and began to not only plan his day, but fulfill his day of creating each of the six days. First things God created was Light. Jesus is said to be light. Yet it is not light that we worship in regards to God's creation. Though there were those that worshipped the sun, it was not made for man to worship, nor was the creation of the light for man to worship. See to say let there be light, light being second part by being the thing created. The thing created by the word is not the word itself beyond giving it power of its particular nature. For example on the fifth day God created water to bring forth abundantly moving creature that hath life and fowl to tly above the earth. Then God formed what He spoke creating. Action becoming part of the word of God which is also refered to as being the spirit of God going forth into action. Yet the Spirit is also seen as a Ghostly being. The Spirit being like the Word a part of God but actually having a function as part of godly ability or part of God but yet separate.

Maybe it easier to see when a baby is born he utters his first cry or made to utter his first cry. His voice being heard in words not understood, but many would probably say the cry is I am cold, this world is strange to me. His fist moving and his feet kicking not understanding the function of these parts yet, but soon will be learning in months ahead. God we see has an origin of creating, and uttering his thoughts and then producing his thoughts into reality in a one day of the each of the creation story. Jesus being the word of God, also created into human flesh by declaration of God to the point of human impossibly but not first born of godly capabilities. Talking yes of the virgin birth. Christ being first born of all creation from the begin of time, he was and is the beginning by the word being spoken, never before until the time of Christ did the word become a part of a living soul beyond just speaking existence. What made Jesus special? Why was Jesus more then just a man, but also God. Godly origin of Jesus being the first born of God, but would be fully God in human nature, speaking the words of God. Yet the flesh was fully human with human fralities. The word of God being spoken by Jesus, yet Jesus is more then human. We might speak the word of God but we are not and can not be God. We are born by God's human conception plan put in motion and spoken by God, but those word alone did not create you and I. The process God designed for our ability to be created was different then Jesus formation process.

The idea of a deity being born is the first conception of God's plan to relate to man in regards to our suffering, to come to our level of experience. First born of all creation, born before us, during man existence and when he returns born after us, in regards of continue the final prophesy by spoken word. Jesus would be the first born of the church. Meaning he would be the head of church, because God declared it, and because God desire his word to be over the church. God's word to be spoken to the church and the church being those that would believe and follow His Son. Man first crucifying God word by unbelief, the second crucifixion would be the cross of Calvary sacrificing the word of God on the cross, and the devil thinking he was in power. Until those grave opened and the gates of hell released the captives. He was the first to die for sin that he did not commit because of his perfection. The holiness of the word and remaining until crucifixion. The blood poured out from the beating. No one else being able to be the Lamb of God to pay for sin. Sin was not a creation of God. Yet evil existed because of God's allowance.

Now after his death He would be the first born of all creation once more, born to build the church through His resurrection. Giving knew hope once the sin had been buried of mankind. A do over perhaps in one since, for mankind. Mankind being given a second if they would believe and obey Him. He knew man would fall again but their be no more sacrifice. God's word declared Peter's fall, a type of prophesy before Christ death. Yet God declares all have sinned and fallen short of his glory. Our imperfection, now being tranformed by God into his likeness, though there be times of our failing. He would transform us on the earth and translate us as he did Enoch to Himself, by his Spirit because we born of His Spirit, because we walk by His Spirit moving in action of the Spirit of God, because we obey Him. Facing death only in human body, but not spiritual death, and we given a new body, just like Christ perfected body. A body that does not reflect our humanity but being born as a child of God with royal robes. When we cross the finish line of our race toward heaven, we are given that crown of life and garments of royalty if we are believers. Just like Christ received upon enter the pearly gates his royal attire that he laid down to save mankind by coming to manking in human flesh.

Now that I come full circle in who the Word of God is and how Christ is before his birth as well as after his resurrection being reborn into the world He lived forty more days with us before ascending into heaven. One day Jesus will return, not through human birth but the same way he departed with the army of God in tow. For is disciples witness his ascension and his disciples will witness his return.

Dear Heavenly Father bless us with the hope of eternity, but not only our eternity, but your redeeming grace even when we fall. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study for Devotion: Genesis 1:20-27 KJV
20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
