turtle30cshell Daily Devotions For April 23, 2020
No Friction
4/23/2020

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

1 Corinthians 12:25-26 KJV
25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

One of the hardest things people have to deal with in the body of Christ is getting along with others. It is also true in the world. Some parents are trying a get along shirt. It is a shirt when two kids fight, they are then put in one shirt. The kids stand side by side, and the hole where the head goes is where both the kids head go and one arm in one sleeve of one child and one arm in the other arm in the other sleeve, and will you can tie two hands together or force them to hold hands in the middle to make it harder, or keep those hand separated. The point of the shirt is two force two siblings to get along together though they be different or fight alot. It is suppose to teach them or force them to do things together and to appreciate each other skills to accomplish a task, chore, or spend the day or a few hours together til they learn their lesson. How well it works only a mother with extra big shirt knows the answer.

The truth is the world has to learn to get along even in difficult times. The nations of this world have been accomplishing much with separation and communication, by technology. What it does is open the door to communication without a weapon shoved into your stomache and demands being made. The world is working on communication skills on not only how their country functions, but their needs, especially when it comes to equipment such as ventialators and facial mask. What this means is a new job marked has been expanded and President Trump as created new jobs within a crisis of a virus. Yet what is not happening is the world is not fighting each other but a disease. What star wars project could never do, the virus has done for the world. It not full proof, but it saying we care about each other life and that is the first step in any negotiation or peace process.

When in the body of Christ the church has to come together as a unit, despite their disagreements, their attitudes and their enability to see eye to eye. The friction in the body has to cease and the ability to disagree on issue less important must be no longer an issue, if it is wanting to survive. Ideas on how to deal with this virus is seen on the internet as well as as electronic, and phone communication. Little cluster forming to keep children busy for a short amount of time as well as adults thinking about the importance of faith and an worship in the family unit. Some always taken time for God in the family and others just learning how too. Some even learning how they can have small role in the family worship so all are involved. What it teaches is all parts and everyone is important to worship service. Everyone is important to church body or group. It also teach appreciation for the unskilled and skills of the body of Christ. The knowledge of how important it is to encourage and build up the body of Christ.

Can we unite once more to join in body, mind and spirit in worshiping God whether in a bubble car church service or at a stay at home church service. How can we create worship for those forced to work on church service days and give them opportunity to be involved. Let us suffer the inconvience forced upon us by life and find ways to lift up the name of Jesus, knowing that he always solves the problems of our disagreement and issues in our life, if we will trust him to. Some things are simple and other things without Jesus, the solution would never come. Pray for one another, and allow the Lord to revenge the evil of this world.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for the desire of your people to get along even in hard situations to just worship you. Help us to work together to spread your word and love. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Romans 12:5-21 KJV
5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
