Every Sunday A Psalms: Bringing In The Sheaves

Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris

Psalms 126:1-6 KJV
(1) A Song of degrees. When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
(2) Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.
(3) The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
(4) Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.
(5) They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
(6) He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

As two groups of people of faith merged together in love, the need to expand out of their safe environment into the world to share the love of Christ began. Yet without a time of revival and a time of gathering together, there is no flooding into the world. Now it easy for the world to close off the people of faith, but God knows how to march around the Jericho wall and tear it down. As Christ gather both Jews and the Gentiles into faith exile would be for the spreading of the Gospel, but a time of return would begin. The harvest begins with generations having continued in faith. The greatest revival would begin. Those no longer called to the highways and byways but to come home. All those with them in faith returning as well. The harvest of the angels reaping the fruit of the bounty of faith, hope and love. God pushed his people by His Spirit and the world became anger at God for a people not like them, not understanding God loves them. Persecution came to be, and eventually the destruction of the Temple. Yet God promised to rebuild the temple and a time of Christ reign would come forth.

There always been times of the word of God not being strong in society and their probably always will. Godís plan of freedom is of choice to all people. Yet He only desires to protect His people from evil and paths that lead to destruction. Godís people cleaning society up is not evil, To kill people or abuse people is not Godís way. Jesus went to all people including the prostitutes teaching the ways of God. Some people will not change, but those that hear and want change will change. Some will adapt or adopt good things and the bad things will either be eventually weeded out or it will kill the person, depending on the type of destruction. When one considers Godís way to allow God to destroy and not man to destroy it works out much better. Our laws only truly protected society from becoming a lynch mob. America a few years ago went into Iraq and help re establish their government for freedom. It was not done over night it actually takes years and years for freedom to reign in peopleís hearts. The returning of Godís word takes time, it will only be done in a day when Christ returns in his incorruptible body.

Dear Heavenly Father your word is true, you usher your people together only to send them forth once more. May your people go forth with joy from your camp. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

(7) Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
(8) For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
