Time Of Christ: Gardening Season

Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris

Matthew 24:27-36 KJV
(27) For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
(28) For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
(29) Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
(30) And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
(31) And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
(32) Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
(33) So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
(34) Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
(35) Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
(36) But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Gardening as been on my mind as of late, so much so, I worried I will begin planting before it time too. See in the area I live in to want to plant in March is way to early, because needless to say we could get snow late May and early June, despite how pretty it been this week. The desire to see things grow and bloom is only a battle within the heart of seeing dry ground with little water this year, not enough in my opinion to sustain a good garden, yet it will sustain no doubt the trees and grass in our area or everything will be dry and brown. Truth of the matter crops take a lot of water to grow and so it with the Christian life and the word of God. Without he word of God in oneís life the dryness of faith occurs. Most people have no time but for a small dose of the word a day if that. Yet it is important to study Godís word despite the infrequency of it. Can you take a verse to heart all week. Can you meditate on that word for a week. One might not be feed nutritious diet off of one verse, but God can use it. It is enough to begin a seed of faith.

Godís word is so precious to the believer, yet it comes through both the Word of God called the Bible and also the Holy Spirit who speaks to the heart of man. Whether literacy is a problem or not Godís word does not change by His Spirit to the written word. The fact remains and the hope of salvation remains with each person of faith.

This morning talking about the time of Christ return, I am reminded how certain events to come will not change other events tell the time of fulfillment. Where the dead are the eagles will gather, is only speaking about nature in regards of the continual process of death and destruction also gives life to another. Without dead the buzzards/and Eagles would not eat. Of course American Eagle is known to catch fish and small game animals. If a larger carcass is available they do dine. Yet even as lightening comes from all direction so shall the time of Christ come. The time of judgment on the earth will come.

In reason years the reality of social media and the effects it has on our changing world only declares the disastrous of our world in split second. It almost as soon as it can begin to spread the global market knows the event. Yet the knowledge of these huge disastrous would only come from mail, or small news that would filter in. Is our technology really forecasting more information then we can handle, or only telling what we long to know that our love ones are safe or have passed on. The disaster of our world hitting at times of seasonal devastation. Tornadoes, hurricanes and storms coming seasonal. Yet most of the time storms of this nature have little effect unless it effects the whole community. It been sometime, but even my own community went through a small flood. One would think water would pour off the mountain, but if you sit between hills on the mountain top it is like bowl. When the creeks fill flooding can happen. Yet with engineering this problem can become less but is not full proof with natural springs begin to over flow.

There is a point the things we see should not worry us, it when we fail to remember that the floods and things are only a part of life, part of events to come. Yet with the coming of the Son of Man the falling of the stars will happen. In Alaska the stars display a beautiful site of soaring across the sky they say. It an event that occurs regularly. Yet if it happened on the east coast or other areas of our nation, we all be falling to our knees in quick fashion. Yet the truth of the matter it might be but change in nature or Christ is coming.

If the hour is unknown to man how come God gives us signs, it only to remind us of His Sonís coming will come like the earth process will. The fig plant blooming as a tender tree is only a reminder death will surely come to it, but how long does a fig tree last one might ask, I suspect it like American Oak Tree, it years can out number human life. Gardening is a sign of life but it is also a sign of death to come. Seasons represent life and death, and yet these things must be.

The desire to see Christ return is no more then seeing life come from the earth, no it much more. To see Christ return is event no one wants to miss. God words is true. The longing of the believer is to wait until God declares it through the angel with His trumpet that His Son is returning. For the unbeliever wanting to see the event, is hope without faith is not more then a fanciful thought to them. A desire that if full filled will bring death and destruction. For the believer it is one of the foundation of hope is built on of something better ahead for mankind, the hope of heaven.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for the reminds of faith, for the storms of life as only sign of your word will come, as well as the life from plants that also pass. Give us that eternal hope of your word that Your Son will come once more. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
