Every Sunday A Psalms: Lord Is On Our Side

Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris

Psalms 124:1-8 KJV
(1) A Song of degrees of David. If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;
(2) If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:
(3) Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:
(4) Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:
(5) Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.
(6) Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.
(7) Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.
(8) Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

When you think the devil will over throw you, remember the truth the Lord is on your side. When you think there is no way of winning trust in God (Father, Son And Holy Spirit). God word you can take to the bank so to speak. If He says you winning, you will not loose. Even if you country in exile, God will put a shield around his people and nothing that not common to man will not overtake you.

David not a train warrior knew the power of God from the time of a small boy as lions and bears attack his flock and he would go and sly the bear or the lion with his bare hands. Standing against Goliath was a stupid thing for a boy to do, but He had the mighty hand of God on his side. David would go against armies and some where bigger then his military, yet God was on his side, and enabled him to defeat the enemy. God was on the side of Gideon in the battles and wars of his day, because God was on His side.

God is on your side you do not have to fear what people can do, only fear what God can do if you not on His side. When the trap is set against us we will not be ensnared for long if at all when God is on our side. As children play in the streets and fear the terror of war, from the first 911 attack to attacks that continued. Our people hearts broken but not in fear of what man can do, only in what God could do if we did not obey Him. We did not hunker behind closed doors but continued about our daily business as if life still went on, despite the broken hearts. Men and women honor for battles they did not even realize they were being sacrificed for as war heroes of our time.

God is on the throne of our lives we have not a thing to worry about if our enemy is trying to war against us. Our nation under God but not in all fifty states, give a eeriness about our freedom in our land. Every state that still believes in God has to stand. Stand and say our rights will be protected too. Our nation might not always agree but we got rights too. Let us serve our God and our country knowing God is on our side to those that trust in Him, that follow the will of God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Time of persecution of the church is only because of a lack of knowledge of those not understand who the Messiah is. It not about taking away of God but embracing the Word of God that came not only in the flesh, but who life was sacrificed for you and me for our sins on the cross and rose again for you and me. Jesus is the answer for He is the word of God. God has the solution for salvation, if we will trust in Him. Never means a soul won’t die innocently, it only means we can not sit in defeat because our enemy seems larger then us. The women in the desert in Revelations sees the wrath of the devil swallowed up. Trust in the Lord today, the enemy will not prevail.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for the victory through your word today, only being a sweet, sweet remember of your grace and preservation of your people, because you defeat an enemy that larger then them. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

(15) And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
(16) And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
(17) And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
