Wait For The Lord To Respond
9/26/2024

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

James 5:7-12 KJV
7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
12 But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.

Wait for fruit of the earth and the early and later rain. We all want to see a harvest or fruit that falls so the seeds of life can be planted to bloom again. Our patients for the planting and reaping takes time. From the moment of salvation their manifestation of the Holy Spirit in a new believers life. It the seal of the Holy Spirit on a new believers life and that unspeakable first joy of salvation. As a Christian bears fruit of the the Holy Spirit having learned Christ, their comes a need to be replanted to produce once again as in days of old. Be renew daily by the Holy Spirit. Things in our life must die for God's fruit to produce. Work of grace continuing in our life through sanctification produces fruit or later reign.

Our ability to wait on God. Our ability to be fruit producers. Our ability to be patient for the move of God who every working sight unseen in other's lives for fruit production. Sometimes even on suffering we are waiting for the movement of God. After Elijah destroyed the baal worshippers, he chases or catches up to Elijah wirh news it going to rain the drought is over. Yes Elijah victory happened at time of drought. I do not think today many people in my area are worried about drought but concerned about rain. We just had major storm come through our area because of hurricane and I am not on the coast. It is however much needed but not in buckets of water. There a point storms come and storms go but Elijah drought was over because of the later rain in his life. He no longer fear Jezebel and Ahab for the power of God waa manifested before him when fire came out of heaven and rain soon followed.

Job's sanctification process through his storm manifested with a small correction on his own life of being deserving of hardship but also his righteousness was by faith not works. His healing and restortation coming at the end of the book.

Prophets afflictions for our benefits. Our knowledge of their struggles but also their victory through faith. Where are we in our affliction, are we needing help. God knows our needs and that we must wait with patients for God's Spirit to pour out.

Dear Heavenly Father as we wait on blessings from you let us search our hearts on our errors that may be causing the storm. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: 2 Corinthians 4:13-18 KJV
13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.
15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
