Thankful Day 3
11/03/2024

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Psalm 103:1-5 KJV
1 A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

There more benefits knowing God then not knowing God. Let not forget his benefits. His benefit of forgiveness and his healing power. We may look at healing as miraclous only but in truth many time David didnt have medicine like to day and he knew when he wrote this God was his healer of the not so miraclous. He knew healing took time. Yet forgiveness was instant, remorse and grief sometimes longer in repentance process. David wept over his son tell his death. God's mercy great but his chastisement is real.

Are we thankful for God's benefits of forgiveness, mercy and healing? God grace is suffienct through his Son Jesus. He paid a price for sin we could not pay. His mercy in our life greater then we understand. His healing power with no time table on how or when it may come, but when it comes it is by his grace and will in our life. Some healing through death and other through life. We except his will how it comes.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for your benefits knowing your grace his suffient, because you are our healer, forgiver of sin and your mercy never fails. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Exodus 34:5-9 KJV
5 And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.
6 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
8 And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.
9 And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.

2 Corinthians 12:8-10 KJV
8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
