Proverbs 31:26-31 KJV
26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

Virtuous is godfearing. Solomon wives were idolaters. Though wrote he is observing another man's wife and how valuable she was to husband and children. She worthy to be honored and blessed by her children. He entails the whole family in honoring her even to her words of wisdom.

I think about the mother's of the family are often the backbone of the family. Men work come home and even in this modern age men do cook and help clean house too. Yet it often women who makes a honey do list. It is that list as parterners in a marriage that men look at and figure what he might not do that she will do as well. How many of those chores can be handed to the kids to do.

Yet that wisdom Solomon had from God he honor not in his own household as far as being obedient to the wisdom he spoke. Yet Solomon wisdom being God seen the cherish virtuous women of the family that worshipped and fear God. No doubt Solomon envied this on his heart because he desired the women of honor to rule him over Israel.

Dear Heavenly Father as we look at not just the virtuous women on scripture this week but also cherish women in both Old and New Testament. Why were some woman cherished perhaps a little more because there story was told in honor of them.

Dear Heavenly Father we ask you lift up godly women so their light will shine to teach young women good values and honorable to both family and society. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
