2 Thessalonians 3:1-13 KJV
1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:
2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.
3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
4 And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.
5 And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
8 Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
9 Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

My last two road trips even with direction we some how still got lost or missed the turn. Yes we used GPS. Yet even with descent directions one can miss a turn, see a sign that map indicates is part of the trip but is a wrong turn and one may just enjoy going around robinhood barn. The test so far definitely shows a three inch mass that does not belong. What it is will be determined not by a picture but a biopsy. I have yet to go for that but will, if Christ delays his return, or disaster of something else does not prevent it from happening. Now my news is updated I will continue with today's lesson.

The direction of our faith is important. I wrote yesterday about symbols of faith briefly. People the direction of faith is the road we are plowing. If we become busybodies and so forth into the gossip, we become off course in direction one is travelimg into. God plan is to keep you from evil and to direct you by his love as you wait on Christ return.

As I get older the road of many believers end on earth before Christ return. Many are still waiting growing in the direction of Jesus. There things of this world we can get entangled called sin. The one sin mention here is gossip. Those busy bodies that want to know your business and more. When it us retold a person that heard it adds their own opinion to it and by the time three have passed it on, the original story has become bigger then life. The Missippi Squirrel tale sung by Ray Stevens looks minor compared to the new stories in the world today. God wants us to remove ourselves from the gossipers.

I am one of those people I find others lives interesting. I find people are often willing to share but one thing you should not do is pass their life on as the gossipline information. Nothing wrong with a prayer request, but does every detail need to be shared, the answer is no. God knows the need before we pray, and before we receive the request for prayer. Our prayer to God is for not only his will be done but his glory shown through healing and open doors. The gossipline belongs not in any group of people. It is a waste of time to the hardwork and where our focus needs to be in Christ. The need for compassion of another by a listening ear, there nothing wrong with it as long as it not used for gossip. How many go home to love ones and family tries to catch up with all the news of those they have not seen in a long time and wonder how they are doing. That information is not gossip but it can become gossip if used to hurt or destroy someone.

Gossip can be used to destroy the church. Instead concentrate on the love of God and His Son. Be focus on the future as a believer, which should be our hope waiting for Christ return. The directions we need to follow is directed by God and it is called love.

Dear Heavenly Father keep your children's compass going in the direction of love and focus on your Son's return. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
