Sin's Origin 6/20/2024
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisRomans 5:12-21 KJV
12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. The lasso of a nickname begins usual with a story of why person is name with a nickname. Only occassionally there is no rhyme or reason for a name. Sin as origin and sin enter the world we current live in by Adam who one act of sin made him a sinner and everyone else marked with sin. Now if the father of sin existed in this world because he could not live in paradise. Paradise a place where you might sin once but you can not remain there. Meaning freewill existed in paradise and probably does today.
What we learn is sin allowed in this world but not to get back into a free sin zone. How is sin determined as being a sin if there no law. From Adam to Moses there was no law. With the law of God it prove sin would still occur. Without law man live in perfection of not knowing what law was, no with sacrifice came knowledge of sin with God's conviction on Cain until sin transpire of Cain killing his brother. Cain cost was removal from God's sight but not without God's protection by a mark given to him. His abandonment coming with disobedience to God and not choosing to do the right thing by offering the sacrifice God required.
God's Spirit from Adam and Moses still communed with that not only believed but obeying God's Spirit. We see God's interaction with Noah, Abraham and so forth to those who believed. Then you got the coming of the law because the pascal Lamb was slain to mark the believers house for the passover. The death angel killed the first born because of Pharaoh and Egypt disobedience in not letting people go to worship him. Sin of Pharaoh by a harden heart would cost him his kingdom because of direct disobedience to God, a God that had demonstrated his wrath first. No his wrath second. We can not forget the God of Joseph sacrifice Joseph freedom to send him to a place to bear witness of God's Spirit during a terrible famine. God's grace sent abundance in a time of hardship. God's grace abounded to a people who knew him not and he saved them and his own. The law coming after a time of God's wrath with the need of intercessor to help people understand about not only the law but God's grace and wrath.
With the coming of Christ it would be after a time of judgment on God's people. God's people only protection coming only because of a continual faith of the people despite punishment for sin on a people. The promise of remnant coming forth from exile. When remnant came forth the purity of the law and holiness of the Temple was shown to the people by who could build it but it also cost them understanding faith in God was for all people outside Jewish faith to all that would believe would have eternal hope. The division came but Christ came as well to demonstrate God's love and call to the world. God's grace coming through his grace of his Son who was willing to die for all sin both Jew and Gentile. His grace abounding through the cross and death, because God had the ability to give life back for eternity. God desired a people that would obey him walking by his Spirit in obedience to him.
Who calls a sinner but God's Spirit who convicts the sinner. We see our ability to share the word of God by our own might never gain one lost soul for Jesus. You bring the weight of the law to a people but without God enabling there is sin. God can force us to obey him but he wants a people who will hear his call and desire to know him and love him back. A people who desire to know what pleases God. Man can do many things in their own strength but in God's strength the impossible can be done.
You can not protect people from tbe law or God. However you can obey God's Spirit concerning what he tells you what to say to them. God speaks to the heart to bring conviction and everlasting peace through Christ Jesus. Only God's way will save you from your sins. Believing Jesus was sent to pay our price is our eternal hope.
Dear Heavenly Father gives us the wisdom of how to share your love and to give this world hope of your love for them. In Jesus precious name, Amen. Continual Scripture Study: 2 Thessalonians 2:12-17 KJV
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
