Ready To Walk By Faith
01/18/2024

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Ephesians 5:1-20 KJV
1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Wonder why Paul speaks about love and then sexual immortality being sinful. When the church is speaking about love it not about sensual acts or emotion. It about the care of the needs of others. He stress about sensual sin because some pervert will take the idea and use it for his sensual desire, with the ignorance this is wrong. This does not promote love of Christ, but lust of the flesh to chase after the men or women in the church not in business since of help and aid for another in the church or community basic living needs, but aiding only selfish desire. Though someone might be that good in bed it does nothing for a persons real need in a struggle in life, only complexes the emotional need that does take away or disolve the mind, and soul connection to a living God who wants us to learn to seek him for our needs and wants in the realm of faith. I speaking of sexual sin not sex between married people.

Sex might decrease the need for money, if you prostitute yourself but you did it not trusting in a God that says he will supply your needs according to his purpose. You follow the wrong path to receiving your need.

The church needs to embrace those struggling that are choosing God's way through faith and do so by not casting anymore earthly burdens on them as they strive to work and feed themselves and their family. Even with big brother searching human needs, they fail in knowing a person ability to be overcomers while striving a sinful culture that say sell your body, your mind and your very soul to the devil and you will have wealth beyond measure. The person thay sells his soul to the devil puts him or herself in more physical, emotional and spiritual danger that can and will lead to spiritual death.

What hope is there to be need to be in want, some maybe in need of a friend you can trust. To find yourself in need of material things. To find yourself in the pit of need. The words to say trust Jesus is easy but to have faith in your wilderness it might not be has easy if one is use to provision of a job by the devil. Israel wanted to return to Egypt more then once. Life was easier then relying on God it seemed. God was bringing Israel to faith in him and not in the wealth of land of torture but of peace and hope.

God's way may not look like a plan. One looking through human eyes and not the eyes of faith when I say that God's way does not look like a plan. What I mean is struggle of faith is often about trusting God for the immediate need. It is hard because we live on realm of human sight and not the realm where angels live and God power reigns eveywhere seen. Our trust must be learned by the Holy Spirit School. Faith must come not being drunk with wine but filled wirh God's Spirit. To fall to repentance and rise anew to walk in faith after being in Egypt land and no longer imprisoned by Satan power, but empowered by the Holy Spirit. God knows our needs and his supply is not always our desire but it will be our need. Who does not want the palace, the chauffeur, and a feast. Our day of feasting will come, and the day of living in a palace will come, but right now God needs his people in the location they are to arise in faith and to walk by God's Spirit, giving thanks to God.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for your blessings, and fills us as we arise in faith in knowledge and strength of your Spirit ability to provide what we need in our life. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
